Checksums are not calculated. So, in case of any error of failing to calculate, I should pay for another ECU? Not for me, I'm not paying a cent for future headache.

Checksum are made by programmer in general

alright it was just my father that forgot to sign out of my acc, he's a car mechanic it's all good 👍

Is this legal? I mean if you turned off whatever dtc is in there without fixing the problem what will happen to the vehicle?

Hello, regarding legal hard to answer, but dtc off should not be done on cars used on public roads or to hide problems.
