I'm thinking about doing that , ntfs seems to corrupt the external drives recycle bin some times , and you have to manually delete it or it causes all sorts of probs ,wish i did that to begin with

Nice one! , Ace combat games would only run 2k fullspeed on Aethersx2 , they run 4k fullspeed on this! retroarch pcscx2 can only manage 1080p with frameskip lol , big difference in the three Gonna try Gran Turismo 4 now , that seems to be one of the hardest game to run it crashes alot on the other emulators edit best setting for GT4 is Auto renderer at 4k , Dx12 will cause some car gfx glitches , looks super nice and seems very stable now , also dont forget to turn on 480p and widescreen in the Gran Turismo picture settings

I couldn't run gt4 on Aethersx2 as it had graphics glitches, pcsx2 was the only one that played it but it was slower. I would also love to be able to play the hotshots games as they both start on the other ps2 emulators but when you start a match they either close the game or play in slow motion. Any chance you could try these ones for me if you got them, as I cant try this emulator for another 2 days when I get home ?

@@johnmiceter GT4 is buggy AF on PCSX and Aethers , seems to be related to a ram spike . Ridge Racer V now works good also , it would run like 10fps with lots of cars on screen before , This new ver seems to fix alot if games and better performance , i will see how i go with Hotshots, i have all the Outlaw sports games , they work fine

@@johnmiceter Hotshots golfs works in Software renderer but its low resolution , apparently you need to get a patch that disables shadow rendering so you can run hardware mode , i haven't messed with that much but you put them in cheats folder , pcsx2 forum has patches/cheats i think

Why would you be banned? You installed an app in your Microsoft Xbox from the official Microsoft Store, coming through a link from the official Microsoft Edge browser. You didn't break anything in the ToS (though the uploader of the emulator did, but MS seems uninterested in punishing those), banning you is basically free lawsuit money.

Eternal Darkness, here I come..finally I can play it. Please tell me there’s a way to play classic Xbox games via iso? I’ve been meaning to check off Dino Crisis 3 since its only available on Xbox. I have a question, I use Series X and I'm using this emulator and it works great at 4k, although I've noticed that some games only give me 25 fps at any resolution no matter what I put. Is this normal? Some of those games are: - Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4 -Dragon Quest 8 - Haunting Ground - Obscure 2 and some more.. For example R-type Final and Gradius V I have 60fps. I hope someone can clarify my doubt, Thanks!

I do a few things - I tend to drop it to 1080p as theres not much difference really -try switching software renderer from d12 -check for a game fix patch. People upload these pnach files with the best settings and fixes Hopefully one of these gives you a better result. Remember to change the settings in game so your only editing that game and not your full set.

@@bulmergames I'll have to disagree with you that there's not much difference between 4k and 1080p resolution. I'm playing on 4k OLED and Dragon Quest 8 look quite a lot better in 4k than 1080p. There's "shimmer" on the hero's outfit in 1080p.

@@rimmymindplease8120 What I ment was if your at 25fps. The resolution isnt going to make a great deal of difference. 4k at 25 fps isnt 4k. It would look better at 1080 60fps if thats the only way they could get the frames up

Are you perhaps using PAL isos? Most games in Europe ran at 50HZ which generally equal 25FPS (for NTSC 30FPS games) or 50FPS (for NTSC 60FPS games) ingame.

I can't believe that I am playing god of war at 4K on my series X. Holy crap. Thanks a lot!! It has some fps drops but it is pretty impressive.

Patches need to match the iso. Most people use ntsc iso as they are better frame rates apparantly. You would have a much easier time just grabbing the matching iso

So is there anything you recommend to do in my side eventually..? I hardly believe creating another folder and call it "ws" and putting the ws patches there would make a difference, am i right? Because thats we're they belong on PCSX2, but i know that in XBSX2 the ws patch folder has a different name.

@@M_CFV Funny then That Duckstation + Asx2 both had them in on download, Asx2 had 2 in USA - EU , also I have been emulating 40+ years, The Emu's are on retail, we are not being good so having the Bios in is like stealing pants and finding coins in the pocket..

I got this to work after your video but have some questions on size of these games. I have a 64GB flash drive. I put one game on there that was like 5GB. I tried to add another game on there that's another 5GB but it says it's too large to the drive. Not sure why since it's total of 10GB so should leave me with 54GB left. What size of USB drive do you recommend for ps2 iso's?

@@bulmergames ended up reinstalling the program lol now it works with Select and Start. By the way, some games refuse to go beyond 30fps even tho they run at 60 on Retroarch. Any idea on why? I tried changing the settings for speed, Vsync and region but nothing worked.

@@bulmergames Tried out Haunting Ground, Xenosaga 1, Rule of Rose and Ar Tonelico. The first 3 run at 30 on XBSX2 and 60 on Retroarch with PSCX2 core. Ar Tonelico runs at 60fps on both emulators.

Hey, I did some digging and found my answer. What I was reading was the game's internal speed, which depending on the game might be 30 or 60hz. On Retroarch, it shows you 60 every time because that's the virtual machine's speed, not the game's, and it's set at 60 to avoid slowdowns. So, both emulators run at the same speed, the changes you get are in terms of graphics and overall performance. Sorry for the confusion!

Questions: does this emulator work on Xbox One? Does this emulator emulate the Ps2's network adapter for online play (via custom servers for game such as Jak X: Combat Racing, Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, Ratchet: Deadlocked, and Biohazard Outbreak)?

is there any difference in the type of memory you use in performance 2.0 works fine but does 3.0 make it any better? also if you hold start and select in game together you get a new menu, settings etc.

You can put a full ps2 set onto a usb if you wanted. Only needs setting up once.

Hi, it's pretty hard to find an answer, sorry if it was asked, but can we change the languages of the games ? I have an EUR iso of Tony Hawk, french language included, but i can't find how to boot with a choosen language. I tried to launch not in fast mode, change language into bios parameters of the PS2, but the game still launch in english. Thanks for answers !

You can normally change that on the actual game settings.

Alot of the time it gives you the option to update. But I usually post on here and tiktok when an update becomes live

Thanks for your work, I'm getting the following error: Startup Error, PCSX2 requires a PS2 BIOS in order to run etc... Games appears in the list, I've also set up the bios folder to D:\Bios and downlaoded the serie X one which is the console I have. The USB is ntsc. Any clue what I'm doing wrong ? 😊

A few people have had this issue and have said that they had to re format their usb to get it fixed. Also make sure that nothing is in zip format and that bios are set to automatic detect. (Its set by default but its easily turned off by mistake)

So I google search the game followed by ps2 iso, but after I download it to my usb, do I need to convert the file in any way? Or will it run directly off my usb in the Xbox series x? Sorry I’m not a computer programmer and I don’t have a degree in software. Forgive me if the question is remedial!

as long as its in iso format it will work if its a zip file hen you need winzip to open it and drag and drop the iso out of the folder

Also if they showed when you first set it up but dont now. Go to recursive folder and tick and un tick the folder

I have no idea how to get this link. I joined the Discord, then went to the "retail-announcements" section, but don't see links anywhere. All I see are old messages stating "Apps are up" or "Apps are down", but no links to the apps. Do they provide new links somewhere, or do they just update the old ones?

@@bulmergames Yep, just found this out, and was able to successfully download it. For anyone new reading this, the links are available in the Discord when the apps are up, but the links are removed when the apps go down. So if you join the Discord and don't see any links, it's because the apps are down.

@@PhoenixMiles_ That will probably be your issue. The one has a limited cpu and can only get so far with most games. A series s or x are much more powerful which will be why these work on mine

Can I not use NTSC roms? I looked in the bios folder and didn't see any files listed as NTSC, only PAL.

What size is the usb. Sounds like you may need to format it. Also when you plugged it into the xbox the first time. You need to select usb for media and not for games.

@@thiagomotta777 depends on the game. Part 2 of the guide shows how to add game fixes. Or switching between software renderer amd direct 11/12 can help.

How odd. I use .chd as I thought with the smaller size files it would run better. Perhaps they have gotten damaged when convertimg?
