You can play it on your phone, pc and even on you tv if you have the Xbox app as long as you got GAMEPASS you’re in the game!!! Xbox gives you options while competitors force you to buy the console + the game!!! I LOVE being an Xbox gamer!!! 😁😂

The bias in this industry is crazy the fact non of these media guys where angry PS had a year of exclusivity for two Bethesda games and they completely took FF7 off every platform is really infuriating.

Ok, but it's not just ff7. Look at all the recent Square Enix releases since January, and look at what platforms they're releasing on. Playstation? Check. Switch? Check. PC? Check. But Xbox? Nope, nothing new for Xbox!

​@RushianBear All that came out was Eiyuden (sp?) Chronicles, and I think that was the only Square title to hit since Final Fantasy Origins. We didn't even get Tactics Ogre.

​@@Worm.In.Waiting I'm pretty sure Microsoft already explicitly confirmed that Elder Scrolls 6 will be Xbox exclusive. And so will probably every other Bethesda/Zenimax game, even stuff like Indiana Jones. The only Bethesda games I could see coming to Playstation, however, are the live service stuff, namely things like Zenimax Online's unrevealed new IP that they've been working on and maybe - if Starfield is a hit - a potential future Starfield MMO will come to Playstation. And the only reason they'd do that is to get as many players as possible on their live service titles. But that's as far as it goes. Everything else will be exclusive.

Sony has done this without buying developers/publishers. They just make contracts and/or pay sums of money and games that have been initially announced multiplat become exclusive or timed exclusive.

@@vullord666 They can do that bc they're top dogs and studios are confident their games would be successful, with Xbox that's not a done deal bc of the smaller player base and without the "exclusive craze" that a lot of PS fans and the industry has. If the game turns into a PS exclusive, it automatically gains 15 points on metacritic.

In reality, judging from the fact that the game was so bad that it shut down an entire studio, Forspoken should have gotten a 40 or 50 on Metacritic, and yet it somehow got a high 60s. And TLOU 2 should have gotten a 70 on Metacritic, but somehow it ended up getting a 90 even though most people hated that game. Same with GT7 and a couple others.

@@jimmythegamer2231 TLoU2 has a shit story, but as a game it's incredible, imo TLOU2 and Cyberpunk are more technically complex than all "next-gen" games released so far. A 90 for TLOU2 is way too high though, a low/mid 80s makes more sense.

Competition makes for better games for consumers! I’m all for the buyouts… just make amazing games and Gamers will show up!

Phil knows exclusives are important. He admitted as much very recently. This is just the beginning. Hellblade 2 will be massive and Avowed could be huge too.

More than just Final fantasy. Lots of games out there that Sony has on the contract to keep off of game pass. How crazy is it they are willing to pay up front to keep the game off gamepass!! People should totally just buy the platforms they enjoy playing on. I’d say just stop whining online and go play some games. Though if we’re speaking objectively any console is a huge money sink because there’s no guarantee your library will always follow you (even to platforms by the same company). I’d really just say buy a PC and play everything. Even sony is releasing there games there and otherwise there are emulators.

Now I know you can get PCs for cheaper, but if you want a PC that the PC Master Race considers "decent," then be prepared to spend upwards of $1,000+ dollars. Meanwhile, you could just buy a Series S and a PS5 Digital Edition for around $650-$700 combined. Both consoles are arguably as good as if not better than any prebuilt PC you could get in the $650-$700 price range. EDIT: Yes, I left out Nintendo, but let's be real: even though you can currently emulate Switch games on PC, you will not be able to play Nintendo games in 2024 when they release their next-gen console, especially if it's as powerful as a PS4 or something. And even when Switch 2 emulation does arrive (as is the case with all consoles), it will be years for that to happen even if the Switch 2 isn't much more powerful than the base Switch.

I swear, gaming journalists are a joke these days. Gotta love how everyone posts articles everywhere and makes this fake outrage whenever Xbox announces that they have made a game exclusive or in Redfall's case have cancelled the PS5 version. Microsoft owns Arcane and Redfall, they can do whatever the hell they want with their games. They did not spend $7.5 billion dollars just to make all of Arcane's games and Zenimax/Bethesda's games multiplats. Whenever Sony does stuff like this - like they did with Stellar Blade (which was supposed to release on PS5), no one makes articles on it. But when MS does it, everyone - even the people that claim to hate the games - get extremely pissed. I can't tell you how many times I've seen comments regarding Xbox games - including Redfall - where Playstation players are like "this game looks nice, I'll wait for it to come to PS5" or "I WoUlD pLaY tHiS gAmE iF MiCrOsHaFt DiDn'T bUy BeThEsDa aNd MaKe ThEiR gAmEs ExClUsIVe." I don't see Xbox people saying stuff like that with Spiderman or God of War or whatever. These people really expect everything to be playable on their PS5s and they will do everything in their power to not get an Xbox or PC. I know I'm an Xbox fan so I'm biased, but it's legitimately hard to argue that there ISN'T a bias against Xbox among the gaming community after seeing stuff like this.

I can easily answer that. It's mostly Playstation fanboys that are the ones that hate anything co-op, Games as a Service, and free-to-play games. And it's because a lot of PS games don't feature them. They're about to have a rude awakening though, when PS studios start dropping all those GaaS games. I guarantee their fanboys and PS centric fanboy channels will suddenly have a change of heart how it's a good thing now. They'll find a way to spin things how it's some how different because it's Playstation. The media will suddenly love it and say that it's good for the industry. I can already see it.

PlayStation gamers has been enjoying a full generation of exclusive titles, cmon now. I was a PC gamer but got tried of constantly having to upgrade my PC, so I decided to get a console. I live in South East Asia where Sony dominate the console market, but I remembered a little thing called GamePass, I knew this was a game changer, value for my money, and decided to get a XB Series X and never look back.

This hasn't aged well

Want to play Starfield, RedFall, and Hellblade II? Go buy an Xbox or a pc. It's really that simple.

Prey is one of my favourite games. I missed out last gen because the demo was not very good. I played it when Series X had been out a few months with 60fps through frame boost and with the faster loading times the SSD gives and I loved it. I couldnt put it down. Its a shame it flew under the radar.

Redfall was never announced for ps5 as far as I know. So what is all the talk about.

I'm all for exclusives but if it's not working as an exclusive release it on other platforms crossfire had potential but unfortunately didn't have the player base on just xbox

People also confuse Phil's comment about bringing those games to MOREgamers to think that it includes Playstation. What it means is that not just Xbox Console gamers can play, but also PC and Cloud gamers can play where as with Sony, its JUST the Console. Starfield and Redfall may not be on PS5 but they could still play via Cloud or PC, not have to Rush out and buy a Series Console to play because its 'limited' to JUST Xbox Consoles. Single Player and ANY new IP's I expect to be EXCLUSIVE to Xbox - Games with ACTIVE ONLINE COMMUNITIES - like Minecraft, CoD, ESO, Overwatch etc will remain 'multi-platform' to continue reaching that ONLINE Community, allowing Gamers to play with Friends, Family etc regardless of Platform choice - not pulling those gamers away from their 'preferred' platform they choose to play those IP's on. Xbox needs the Single Player and New IP's to compete with Sony's long list of Exclusive IP's - Spider-Man, Wolverine, Last of Us, Uncharted, God of War, Horizon, Gran Turismo etc etc

All the years Xbox people said we wish we had Last of Us and Uncharted, Spiderman and God of War the ponies laughed and said "get a PS". Okay. You wanna play Redfall, Starfield, HiFi Rush, and a long line of more and more get GamePass. Simple as that.

How about Sony letting Xbox play some of their many exclusives.

This was the confirmation of mostly exclusives Bethesda games before the acquisition was completed. And Minecraft is not a rule about Microsoft supporting the PS platform, it is an exception, just like Call of Duty will be. Not gamers not playstation fans..but ponies - redfall reviews are very positive - they find out it got pulled of the ps5 - hellblade trailer drops and its amazing - gamers "ponies" lawsuit against Microsoft gets thrown out haha - narrative has shifted in microsofts side in the abk deal with eu and cma Ponies cope and seethe in the comments section so we can all enjoy the salt 🤣😂

I play playstation games on Steam and all other games on Xbox. I prefer Xbox and they need exclusives. Sony brought this on themselves.

Bethesda may not maximise their profits in the future being exclusive to Microsoft Xbox/PC but the one plus of being a first party exclusive is that you can just focus on one or two platforms as Bethesda will with Xbox Consoles & PC and not have to worry about a game working on the other platforms which should provide dedicated time to more quality control but if the games are well made and generate the same profits or more before falling under the Xbox umbrella then who needs the other platforms

I was super annoyed when I found out Ark 2 is exclusive to Xbox for a certain time because I have over 1000 hours with my buddies on PS4. But I understand exclusives and bought an Xbox series x to play it should they ever release the stupid thing. And now I am really glad to have one for starfeild because that game looks amazing!

It's all about context and all about New IP's New games on a case by case situation. Playstation ponies love twisting things around - cope is real.

I seen the Sony fanboys talk about how they have a beast PC and can play Xbox games there. But as soon as the PlayStation game is announce to be going to PC they start throwing a fit. I'm like so you wouldn't like to play that game on your PC?

5 years from now Sony will have to put their games on PC day one to recoup the money they're going to lose from COD. Let's see if they have beast PCs then...😏

im amazed how bad everybody treats each other over video games , that is with sony gamers and xbox gamers and youtubers if nobody can get along with each over this then youvreally can see why we have wars all over the place cause everybody just wants the other person to be pissed off and upset all the time i miss the days when you just played games with people and had lots of fun doing now its just terrible how people treat each other over stuff like this
