1. I just want COD to no longer be yearly and Activision Blizzard studios to have freedom again 2. Casting doesn’t matter; writing does 3. The Coalition easily; Ninjatheory and Obsidian are shaping up to be fantastic additions; Playground studios have done a great job with the Forza Horizon series and I’m excited for their fable. The last one I want to leave open for the next year to see. My initial response would be Rare Replay for their fantastic work on sea of thieves, but Xbox has too many new studios to give that spot fairly without having seen what they do under Xbox. Double Fine have been fantastic with Psychonauts 2, but Arkane has always blown me away.

I have never ever known hollywood to ever make a great version of any gaming franchise. They're vultures the way they pick at popular trends such as video games and they're worse then the morticians the way they gut, remove, and change what makes the games we love great. And they could make the most corrupt politian blush the way they blame us the fans for their poor attempts when the movie fails. I'm not excited not even interested in this money grab.

I see a tv series like Andor and I’m shocked how Hollywood allowed such great writing to sneak through. Sucks when doing a good job is an anomaly. Despite not be crazy about gears4&5 writing, I do expect The Coalition to provide better guidance than 343 did with Halo show

I mean, PlayStation players have GOW Ragnarok and XBOX Players have a 40 years old ATARI games 🤦‍♂️ XBOX is mediocre in this generation too, thank god i've a PS5 and can play fantastic exclusives like GOW Ragnarok, Horizon forbidden west, SIFU, GT7, Returnal, Spider-Man miles morales 🤩 It's over XBOX, you already lost.

Fable is being developed by playground studios, so I imagine development on that really kicked off after the Forza Horizon 5 launch. There’s a reason why we’re only hearing rumors. I feel like its 2024 minimum. I’d be surprised at anything earlier

I'm pretty confident animated will always be better for video game adaptations. Can you imagine if instead of all the money wasted on Master Cheeks, they instead hired Blur Studios to make a full CGI series of the same quality as the halo 2 anniversary cutscenes?? Holy crap, I'd be thrilled. And the cherry on top is you can retain all the voice actors that people love.

If the activition deal goes through I would love to see them revive guitar hero! That would be amazing

they wouldn't be able to backwards comp the games as that would cost a lot in re-licenses, be easier to make a new game. I see them doing a new game, just keep how it used to be rather than that terrible X1 version. Also create instruments that are comp with RB4 as 2nd hand these can cost 100s

very much NOT excited for a live action Gears movie, but I am excited for the animation. Arcane and Cyberpunk were absolute hits and is definitely the way to go imo.

I for one would love to have a starcraft remake and brought into the living room. If they can make a good product why not? Let's be honest, this is something Microsoft has already been laying the groundwork for. They've been releasing Sims styled games for some time, they're bringing civ over to the console, and of course there's Halo wars. All that is to say that there's an interest there. I would love to be able to experience an RTS in my living room. Especially if I could go 2 v 2 or 3 v 3 with a team/alliance.

If Dave Batista isn't Marcus Fenix, I ain't watching it haha.

Its troublesome anticipated 3rd party single players arent coming to GP or Xbox at all due to Sony marketing and (timed) exclusives deals. Im sure MS will revive Starcraft; low quality games as services sadly is the standard. As for a Gears movie & show, Ive no faith its going to be any good; they will be woke pieces of trash being Gears in name only. Edgerunners is an exception since most anime on Netflix is censored/hosed down.. And Xbox has to start to deliver on their first party output, cause the only thing I constantly hear is future talk/possibilities and more future talk/possibilities.

@@ViperBitenESP Who is they? You do realize neither Sony or Microsoft personally develop anything. All they do is tell their studios what to do. The coalition had fantastic releases with gears. 343 has been rough but still a better halo campaign than 5. Grounded was a fantastic release by obsidian under microsoft. Sea of thieves is a continuously great game. And so on. Heck for all of Halo Infinite’s fault the forge 343 made alone is legendary. That’s beside the point. Microsoft has allowed use of Banjo in Smash (heavily suggesting a return is in the works or will be). A new perfect dark and fable are in the works. All they would be doing as the new Activision Blizzard heads is saying “hey, we’d like X Activision studio to make a new Star craft.” The point is a change in management and COD FINALLY being taken off the yearly and studios freed up to work on more projects.

A delayed game still came unfinished, and campaign was good but like a beta in content and you talk about forge like we have this amazing thing never before seen lol plus that again in beta 🤦 the entire game is a beta .

We don't cares about "BIG NEWS".. We want BIG AAA Games!!! And there is NOTHING on XBOX but 3 mediocres exclusives and little indies AA games who could run on PS2.. Imagine a Console without games, XBOX did it!

I still like my Series X more then my PS5, but I'm sick of the lack of console exclusives. They buy all those studios but have so far produced very little. It's always the games are coming next year. Sony may be a scummy company, but they can at least get product out. I'm really considering making PS5 my main platform for 3rd party content. I feel Sony is more deserving of support at this point.

I'm PS5 this gen I guess. Played maybe 15 AAA games on PS5 and all I used my Series X for was Halo Infinite and Forza H5 at launch, turned it after letting it sit for 6 months to try Scorn and ughhh it was so bad.

The X is a better console anyway I'm a little surprised that exclusives are so vital to x players but that's probably alot of projection from me since I could care less about either company's exclusives. I'd much rather play AAA on the X than a PS unless my gameplan was to preserve my console so if one of them went down it wouldn't be my favorite :D

Sony has MORE resources than Xbox. I don’t know why people think that just because Microsoft is behind them Xbox has infinite resources when big companies are the FIRST to cut unprofitable projects in niche industries (which is exactly what we saw google do). Up until VERY recently Xbox was always the black sheep of Microsoft. Given enough to support itself but never fully backed. Many investors and company heads constantly called for the division to be dropped entirely. In the Xbox One generation the Xbox division was barely kept on life support and very nearly dropped until Phil Spencer changed the narrative. In comparison Sony (and for that matter Nintendo) have always had significantly more resources in the gaming industry. They have far more IP. Up until very recently Sony had something like 2 or 3 times the number of internal gaming studious Microsoft had (which is why Phil Spencer made a point of buying more studios (and all of the studios sony has they bought just over more time)). They have far more connections in the gaming world which is why we saw and still see so many third party exclusivity contracts from Sony and Nintendo. Sony in particular has more resources in the entertainment distribution, production, and hardware division. Microsoft and Sony are not 1:1 companies. One is a software giant and the other is a entertainment giant. Microsoft can give its Xbox division access to tools like Azure, windows, etc, but they’re still learning how to guild console hardware and have to outsource for movie products and so on. If we’re actually doing a fair comparison, what sucks is how little Sony has given despite the resources they have. We’re only just now getting an elite PS controller. They haven’t introduced an affordable mid tier headset (despite being gods in the audio headphone market). There haven’t been a ton of direct adaptions into other media. They literally figured out how to not take any loss on their Playstation consoles (at the time of release) AND continue to see record breaking revenue but chose to raise prices for people in regions that are feeling the money squeeze the worst. Most of their old IP is locked behind a streaming paywall because of console exclusivity and them being unable to figure out backwards compatibility. They just announced that their new VR headset isn’t compatible with last gen vr games at launch. They don’t have a steady PC release window (for their own launcher or steam) limiting the access and potential to their games. Despite being the leading platform they continue to stifle competition and opportunities for gamers and developers (most notably the indie developers fiasco last gen). And really for all of Sony’s resources they still have very little variety in their games. They all essentials boil down to narrative heavy semi open world RPG games. Take for example God of War. I think the game is fantastic (its literally the only actual first party exclusive I played on PS4 all the way through at launch), but what does it matter for gamers who only play shooters? Racing games? And so on. There’s even been statements from Sony studio devs about the pressure to make these games in a box. There isn’t freedom to experiment or do anything that might fail. Sony games are a bit formulaic which we’ve seen some players unhappy with with Horizon coming out the same time as Elden Ring. This is also why Sony is terrified of losing COD. Even with Bungie and Destiny 2 they don’t see themselves as having an actual replacement for the biggest shooter on their platform. And before you get into Halo and the game’s micro transactions and content, GT7 and every third party live service has proved Sony doesn’t know what they’re doing on that front at all. Their only first party attempt has been to far far worse results than Halo Infinite. They have a long long way to go to reach the numerous live service titles they want by 2030. Personally, I don’t like what Sony does with Playstation with Sony’s resources. Which is why I left the platform. Their game distribution disappoints me, as does their creativity, their treatment of customers and competitors, available accessories, pricing, and so on. But I’m an Xbox and PC gamer (and to a minor extent mobile). I’m not going to lament on what I want Sony to do because I have choice as an individual to move to platforms where I like what they choose to do (Xbox and Steam). You have that same choice as well. If you really think Sony makes better decisions, then go support them and stop giving Xbox your money or attention.

"Incomplete" horizon "2", a racing game and god of war (the only good game of 2022) "and what else it's hard being a Ps fan". Those other games are completely forgotten. Ratchet? Miles Morales? Returnal? Nobody talks about them anymore unless they release on pc, and I don't know why sony takes so long to do it. Look at the 2018's god of war. On pc it sold like hot cakes. But you guys act like if on playstation it's another world of its own. It's not. The fact that for game of the year in 2022 we will only have basically two nominees for the place proves it all, again. These last years were just crap for every platform in terms of games. Most of them were delayed using the dumbest excuse they could find (and everyone used the same to justify it) because the teams did nothing during covid lockdowns. If you can't adapt the way you work to keep up the quality, you just don't deserve the job. It's as simple as that. Now all we can do it just to keep waiting for the batch of good games that will start rolling this december thoughout next year, starting with callisto protocol (i'm keeping god of war out of the list because it's the only good game we had in all these months along with elden ring).

LMAO those will probably be all of just on PC anyway a lot of these games probably won't even make it to Xbox game pass but a lot of Wishful Fanboy thinking and empty promises on the Xbox side. Guess it depends on your perspective. Just getting a series X today at long last and quickly installing all the games which I already had but wanted to experience at their best for console anyways and Outer Worlds feels and looks Much much better finally I can play without it feeling like I'm streaming the game with bad latency
