I don't think it's so much that it's JUST "bad graphics" because I've never been one of those sticklers for graphics. I think it's just that these games are releasing in 2024/2025 and there is a certain bar for certain genres of games. That bar isn't necessarily hyper-realism by any means but it shouldn't look like it belongs on a platform from 15 years ago either. There is the technology to make games look good and clean and detailed without hyper-realism but, for example, Avowed and Atomfall have no reason to look like they should be on an Xbox 360 with the gameplay doesn't look like anything new or revolutionary or even that compelling.

The original Gears of War trilogy is an emotional one for a lot of people. A lot of things have changed since I played GOW as a teen and I, like Marcus have lost a brother of my own since then. Im so glad they appear to be going back to the game's roots and clearly listening to the fanbase. Cant wait! 👏

Expedition 33 caught me by surprised and is now the game I'm looking forward to the most, WOW. Also the goat Ben Starr is in it (VA for Clive from FF16)

Also it was pretty straightforward, the thing he got mad about was that he had believed in a fan theory based on a misreading of existing lore really hard and when it was wrong he thought it was a retcon, forgetting it had been a fan theory in the first place. That's 100% on him.

It's like they didn't know what they wanted the story to be since every twist contradicts the last and presents an entirely new version of the story. By the end of the dlc you're left with a story that's nothing at all like what the main game was presenting for most of its length

Doom and Gears are what I'm here for! Sad, there's no Halo content or Elder Scrolls updates, but I'm on board for those two titles, at least!

I'm already a dad, and if the pace is any slower with ES6, I'll likely be a grandad by the time we get to play it!😅🤣

Honestly the graphics are the only thing I'd really consider dated. When it comes to crpgs it doesn't really play any worse than something like Pillars of Eternity which is way more recent. I guess depending on preference for crpgs or 3rd person action could change your view of how much its aged though.

Expedition 33 really stood out as something amazing amoungst so many other amazing games. Really excuted to see more of it

I found DBs negativity towards everything very disappointing and unfun to watch. I don't understand what he even wanted out of this. Seemed like a decent showcase to me and 2025 looks like a good year for the games. (And wanting this to be about 2024 games is weird, Nintendo is the only company that announces games releasing in two months)

I don't think he realizes there's already like 5 high profile games coming out in 2024, and any more would be overcrowded. Also, these showcases are intended to be 90% games planned for the following year and beyond, not sure why that concept was lost on him. It's not like it's his first gaming showcase.

I love how Xbox has trailers now with gameplay in them, but because games look as good as they do now people don't notice it. That State of Decay 3 trailer had gameplay in it. Not a lot. But it was there. That said, it may be a 2026 title along with Gears and Perfect Dark. Xbox already has too many games for 2024 and 2025

This was such a good Showcase. I am impressed.

Doom eternal had a fascinating but messy and convoluted story so I'm glad they're taking it back to simplicity by doing this prequel.

Gears of war got me through 2 heartbreaks. I played for hours and hours. It was my getaway, so I definitely teared up when the trailer was revealed

I haven't been excited for Xbox exclusives in a while! Oh, @Deebeegeek, you need to play the Fable series if you haven't yet. It's an incredible single player fantasy action adventure RPG with an actual moral compass, though only the 1st game changes your character completely with your actions and upgrades taken.

Dragon Age is a good series and worth a play. The first and third games are great while two is ok. The first is a true CRPG like BG3 while 2 and 3 are more action RPG. Would love to see you play them but BG3 might be better for the channel.

Expedition 33, Wuchang, South of Midnight and Flintlock look really cool and I hope Doom and Gears didn't bury them.

Even if you play on "easy" you should absolutely play the Metal Gear series, specially since you were a "Play Station fanboy" back then ;) But seriously, those games are amazing even if the oldest ones are dated in graphics. And don't worry about the stealth, I think you'll be fine regardless, those games invite you more to "adapt" instead of being pure stealth (although stealth is the main tool for non-boss encounters) I played most of them back on 2019 and I loved them, I have yet to play the couple I'm still missing though.

You asking if you should play Metal Gear Solid???? you remember when you said you did not know nothing about Zelda and when you play Breath of the Wild you went amazed and then you went through all the legendary story and you understand how important that franchise is? well, MGS is going to be pretty much the same but you have no idea how incredible and twisted the story is, you gonna love Metal Gear Solid to death, believe me, I'm not gonna miss any of your stream if you start the MGS games, even now that I played almost all of them cause MGS4 is stuck on the ps3 and I never had the opportunity to play it but I know about the story, is just, I always come back and watch everything and it feels like if was the first time.. in other words, yes you should hehe.

Where in the world does Perfect Dark get off having movement and combat mechanics ripped straight from Mirror's Edge? It was kind of underwhelming to see that reaction to the ESO Anniversary trailer though. I've been playing for nine of those ten years and to see Deebee end up being just another one of those "eLdEr ScRoLlS siX!" people who couldn't care less about ES:O just saps the wind out. I don't even know why it said Bethesda Presents, the game is developed by Zenimax Online Studios.

We read and pronounce it as chernobyl, but ukrainians and russians pronounce it like they typed in the showcase “chornobyl”

Saw this live earlier, so let me just say, you should absolutely play the Metal Gear Solid games. while yes they are stealth heavy, in most of them you can select the difficulty so it shouldn’t get in your way too much more importantly than that, this series is home to some of the best stories in gaming history and in a lot of ways it revolutionized what a video game story could be in terms of presentation with incredible voice acting even by today’s standards (so much so that the original audio from 20 years ago now is being reused for the remake), most of the narrative driven games we have now wouldn’t be what they are without Metal Gear Solid, and now is one of the best times to get started for the first time on them with not only this remake, but the recent collection of the first 3 games on all modern platforms (including the switch), at the very least those 3 are must-plays
