Xanadu HD Trailer
Фильм және анимация
Frustrated at the lack of a HIGH DEFINITION trailer for this underrated 1980 musical on line, and only finding a substandard source from the original trailer, I have re-cut a new 1080p trailer using HD footage and it's musical track with some of the narrative soundtrack from the original SD source mixed in. Hope you all enjoy it. This movie deserves better advertisement.

My mother took us as kids to see Xanadu in the theater as kids in 1980 three different times we loved it so much & still do. We own core magic memories of the sights, sounds & music of that film and Olivia. It’s cheesy but so vibrant, passionate, lovely and charming.

I don't think Becky would have gone far even if Xanadu had opened big. Time was kind to Xanadu, it made a profit & is beloved by millions now. Olivia Newton-John, Gene Kelly, ELO and John Farrar? It's a wonderful, colorful escape. The soundtracks sold 6 million units and it packs festivals whenever in plays. The only time we see Micheal Beck is when there's an opportunity to appear on TV & slag it. What's truly sad is having lost the beautiful for r of nature that is Olivia May She Rest in Peace ....her passing was truly sad and her loss is & always felt globally. Olivia truly made a significant difference in this world & her cancer charities are just part of her lasting legacy. Her art is ours to enjoy, as is the memory of that smile. Wouldn't it be great to know a cure for cancer came today? It would be lovely if a cure from one of Olivia's Research Institutes. NOT for bragging rights, but because her passion ran so deep & she pulled these together while she was so ill, yet continued to smile, giving hope to others. Olivia really was an angel that didn't have to "earn"her wings. The lady was born with them. 🕊️ RIP
This was the best movie as a kid and it still is! I remember watching it on mornings before I went to school I think my favorite song was Don't Walk Away

People are way too hard on this movie. The songs are great and following early 1980s Olivia Newton John around for 90 minutes is fabulous.

RIP Olivia - I've just returned back to the UK after 10 years in prison. I did two and a half years solitary confinement in that time. Whilst I was in solitary, I "replayed" this video segment (with the roller skaters/ tightrope artistes) in my mind to cheer me up. Thanks for that Olivia x

Wow, I've never seen this film before, even though I've heard/read negative things about it for ages. I've just watched two different trailers for it after it getting put on the Criterion Channel app. I definitely gotta see it at least once if it left that big of a cathartic impression on you. The kind of art that can do that definitely deserves to be remembered.
An amazing soundtrack. Jeff Lynn and ELO are always fantastic.

I don't care what anybody says, Xanadu 1980 is one of my favourite movies. And is a lot better than the imdb rating its given. I pretty much love everything about it. Well done special effects, great music, great dancers, good acting from everybody, Olivia Newton John can really act so can Micheal Beck, but everybody chipped in with great memoriable performances, and Gene Kelly, Micheal Beck and Olivia Newton John everybody was at the top of their game in this movie. I love the LA of 1980 too. Just great. The other dance/music movie I like from this era was Saturday Night Fever as well which was released a few years before this one starring John Travolta. But despite SNF having great music and great dancing, it was a very gritty and dark movie, set in a depressed late 1970s New York. It was not going to uplift you. But Xanadu is different, its lighthearted and fun, the people are all nice and friendly unlike in SNF. Also LA is a much nicer more pleasant city than New York and that shines through very well in Xanadu as well. Thats why I prefer Xanadu and why its one of my favourite movies. I just love this movie. 20 years from now I will still enjoy it still if I am still alive. This movie to me is timeless.

A musical oozing with late 70s roller boogie cheese and half baked concept. But still a colorful, kitschy production plus gene Kelly, a good song or two, and eye candy in Olivia!

This trailer is mighty fine work. Quality work.
Wow... If that is even 10% what the movie is like THANK YOU FOR KEEPING ME FROM WASTING MY TIME! I thought this was a JOKE, but I've just looked at other trailers and WOW...
40 years ago on 08.08.80 Xanadu was released. Of course the movie was kitschy as was the (Off) Broadway productions, but no better soundtrack - ever, IMO. My favorite band in E.L.O and fave singer in ON-J, a magical musical match made in heaven, or at least Xanadu!! The soundtrack produced five top twenty hits***** and all #1's for me: Magic, I'm Alive, Xanadu, All Over The World, Suddenly.
I can honestly say, even as a wild-eyed fifth grader, me (or any of my pals) did not EVER want to see this movie. We were in shock that the "Warriors" Guy was in this! But, I appreciate the ABSOLUTE early 80's Cheese that just can't be recreated ever again! It makes you miss those days.
When ONJ appears @2:54, she is just absolutely breathtakingly stunning! WOW!!!

The only thing good about it was Gene Kelly.
The movie that gave birth to the Razzies.
Today the main hero of Xanadu would be a black transgender.
Amazing soundtrack but the film was awful inspite if the great dancing scenes. Even for the early 80s it looked dated.
Big disappointment
Absolute Rubbish!!

I just read Fee Waybill's story about the whole mess. Supposedly their choreographer told them it would be a good idea and a blast to do the film, so they figured, let's go! Oh, my achin' skates, what a bad idea. I mean, if he'd told them to be in Roller Boogie, would they have just done that too?
This movie was so bad but it was everything for me as a 10 year old girl 🥰 And Gene Kelly on roller skates 😂 POV When you realize you created this in your life because it was buried in your subconscious 😂 🪄
