​@@asiersanz8941 most of the basque culture was invented at the end of the 19th century, people before that period of time were all named Miguel, Juan Sebastián, Blas, Joaquín, Dolores, etc there were no "BASQUE NAMES", now you can't find a young person with a Spanish name. The decision to write the surnames without Gu, V or, C or Q... All of the were written with those letters 500 years ago

Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham, after 3 years in Germany literally speaks only about 3 words of German, and I’ll bet my mortgage by the time he leaves Madrid, he won’t be speaking much more Spanish. English being the world’s default lingua-franca has made British people very lazy vis-a-vis learning foreign languages.

Well…it’s ok, nothing to write home about. At times reporters cross the line specially when they are fun’s of the ones they are writing about. Let’s say that Xavier gets by in English and German. Far from fluent. It is ok.

all the people should know how to speak english. I can't understand how there are so many people that doesn't have a single clue about english. I mean, I lernt it in a passive way, never taking lessons, just by playing videogames, listening to music, etc. life is literally in english. (i'm from argentina)

That was an old video of him speaking German. He has much improved since. They could have picked a more recent example.
