YB ONE maybe at Sunday league level. Tiki taka was created because professional football at the highest level can very rarely be beaten by a simple ball over the top. The best defenders have evolved from that. But you stick to watching Scunthorpe United bro.

Xabi was always a complete masterclass when sprawling a perfectly weighted pass to his teammates no matter the distance. His hawk-like eyes only aided his passing accuracy. I enjoyed watching him play so much.

I miss him. I remember for a short while having him feed Bale and Ronaldo in RM from way deep. Back when Bale wasn't made of glass.

Who is he?

I miss him when he play with Madrid.. I know that Kross also has amazing Technique for a long ball, but still his long ball just for a change of transition between Madrid's wings.. but xabi's long ball is a transition from defense to offense, that's why real Madrid feared for their counterattack.

Short passes, long passes, crossing, diagonals, accuracy, tackling, interceptions, long shots, timing, intelligence, ball winner, ball retention, and was easily one of the greatest readers of the game EVER. When he left us, Ancelotti struggled to find a replacement and failed. We ended up trophyless the next season without him. I still hold a grudge against him for leaving us lol.

Back when I used to play PES on Ps2 Xabi had one of the highest long pass skill marks, over 94. Now I see why.

This guy was trained by Guardiola, Mourinho, Ancelotti, Benítez and Aragonés. He has won trophies both with club (in three different countries) and nation. Look at him, because this guy is going to be one of the best coaches in the history of the game.

The selling of Alonso practically ended Rafa's reign in LFC.. How Rafa wanted to replace him at Liverpool with Gareth Barry is beyond me..

Don’t mind the English. Your message is clear. Well your right. KDB is still someone who finds that pin point pass, but yes it is a dying breed. I think it leaves too much to chance once the attackers has the ball. If he loses it, then they chase the ball for the next few minutes. And then again it is gone in one long pass. It is true today managers want more control so they reduce the complex skills and introduce simpler tasks that the entire team can participate in.

Jorginho has that busquets style. He’s just nowhere near that level of composure in big games or the consistent vision. But he’s one of the only few to have that positional sense and some vision to see which way player lines are moving.
