I googled "what is spectral synthesis?" and got this reply: "The reconstruction of the invariant subspaces of a family of linear operators from the eigen or root subspaces of this family contained in such subspaces". I have to say that I am none the wiser 🤣

Ever since I saw your video, I downloaded it and I've been playing around with it. It's absolutely immersive and addictive!

Only sound looping. No more musicality and musician expression. I tried several videos and you are the only one that made it alive ;-) Monophonic synth sounds back!

X-Stream highlights the new updates to the Spectral Engine. These new parameters are available in the full version of HALion, where you can incorporate the new time and pitch stretching, along with the other modulation and filters to create some wild new instruments that can be polyphonic. So, you can say X-Stream is a sort of proof of concept. Thanks so much for watching.

I remember native instruments had a spectral effects plug in back around before 2007. And they did away with it for some reason. Unfiltered audio has a great spectral vst called Spec Ops. But this thing you’re working in does lots more. Cool stuff!

Comments like this are so good as they remind me of things that I have forgotten about. X-Stream is monophonic but is a free way to showcase the capabilities in the new HALion 7.1 engine, where there you have the polyphony. The new pitch and time stretching algorithms are really good. I will have to see if I still have Iris. Thanks so much for watching.

Yeah I like Iris too...insanely deep. Hard on the cpu however

unable to install. I've had more problems with steinberg and halion than all my other plugins put together
