I always prefer the H Pipe. I think it just has a cleaner, deeper tone.

On mustangs sure they are to raspy as is however on anything else an x pipe is pretty damn good.

Most people seem to go with an Xpipe, of course it's a personal preference thing. I actually prefer the deep smoothness and clean sound of the Hpipe vs the more grumblier, raspier sound of the Xpipe. With the Xpipe you hear a bit more pulse and burbles throughout the rpm range. The Hpipe still has the pulse and burbles throughout the rpm range but it's a bit more smooth out, less defined, and deeper. When it comes to muscle cars I'm not a fan of raspiness so Hpipe is what I've been sticking too. Great video man this is probably the best H and Xpipe comparison just do to the fact both cars are the same with stock exhaust components.👍

I have a Roush H-pipe on my PP2 and I love it! I get a lot of compliments from older guys that had Mustangs when they were young.

I have an x pipe with long tubes and it sounds great on stock active exhaust. The ability to be quiet on command is gold

I haven't heard the H pipe in person but i did decide to go with the X pipe and I absolutely love it!

I prefer the H pipe Derek, I have one on my S197 and I just like that deeper throaty sound. The X pipe sounds very good too. 😎👌👍

I’ve watched this a couple times, I just put LTH put my midmuffler back on and added the complete Mach1 exhau kit valance valves etc, ITS THE BEST SOUNDING COMBO EVER ON S550!!! Sounds deep like an old Big block!! Love it!

Idk I guess I should be wearing my headphones, but thanks for this segment. The setup on your Mach 1 is a lot deeper and kinda sounds like the S650, if I'm not mistaken.

Lots of comparisons out there, liked the fact the cars are identical other that what your comparing. Also the level of detail you went with each mode was very helpful. Ive watched this 3 times.. I think I’m going with a X pipe. The downshifts sound so mean! But sounds like you can’t go wrong with ether!

I Prefer X on modulars and H on pushrods.. but dont think you can go wrong with either like you said.

I think the newer generation coyotes (gen 2 and 3 especially) are way too raspy, so H pipe is definitely the way to go

You are so right! The X pipe has a lot more rasp. To me it seems like the X pipe gives a more modern Euro style flavour, while the H pipe gives that old school 351 iron vibes.

This helps a lot, they both sound great but I ended up going with the ford performance x pipe.

TY Derek. I am not a "car guy". I love cars. Big NASCAR fan - Mark Martin (FORD Maroon) was my favorite color for years. This video puts production into marketing. The break down of X-pipe vs H-pipe. Nobody has the time to break down. Your partners can use this video big time. So, Come to find out. If I could afford this - I'd go V-pipe. I like the raspy sound compared to the deeper hog sound of the H-pipe. TY again Derek.

I just got installed a custom made H-Pipe to my GT and at some points I feel it's too much haha The stock sound is very nice tho, but I never used quiet mode. Now I'm actually using quiet mode quite often. I had my H-Pipe custom made as I needed to install plates so I can easily change back to stock with the resonator as European regulations require periodic car inspections.

I put a H pipe on My Mustang GT FN . It’s awesome - I’m happy with it . Long tube headers next.

I went with Steeda H-pipe and the Borla S type axle back. Really great sounding combo.

Great job. Love the H on mine. I want to have someone drive mine so I can hear it from the outside in person lol. The X is definitely a tad louder. Where did you the black things? overlays? for your headlights?

I like the xpipe. I had an xpipe on my 2000 gt wit borla exhaust and loved it

Just got my 2021 Mach 1 last Monday. Was going to do X pipe, but I think I like the deeper tone of the H pipe. Very thorough test.

i'm gonna be going with a Corsa extreme double H pipe cutback exhaust for my 2022 gt500 soon I can't wait

I installed a corsa double helix yesterday. Everything else is stock, and i might just leave it like this. It sounds SO good

At first I was sure of the first on but I think I liked the blue, makes me want a new one

Im going to say both the aftermarket exhaust systems sounds badass for both Mach 1s

Currently running a x pipe from the previous owner but I definitely wanna go H pipe.

I'm an H-pipe guy. I've got the Steeda H-pipe on my 2020 GT/CS with their Aggressive tone Axle Back and I couldn't be more happy. But not going to lie that X-Pipe did sound really good as well how you have it set up on the Mach Uno. Guess I've only really heard the X-Pipe paired with Corsa Xtremes and its way to raspy at that point in my opinion. Keep the bangers coming and much love to you and the whole DBPSQUAD!

@@169abr Ayeeee!!!! CS isn’t for everyone and that’s cool with me. I love mine, and around here I see one every so often not like all the other models. Always have people come up and ask what the GT/CS is because they have never seen one. Makes me respect it more and more every time.

@@Kirby_5oh yessir, my girlfriend has a black 13 CS and I traded my normal GT for a 2020 CS recently. They’re so much nicer on the interior than a GT, even a 401A GT has big differences in feel.

Video will never do justice at how diffrent the actual modes are. Sport and track almost sound the same on video but under load in person they are alot diffrent. Was surprised when I finally picked up my 23. Will definitely be getting a H pipe

I prefer the X but the H also sounds good. It all boils down to personal choice. Whatever sound you like is the one for you.

H pipe does it for me, clean sound, deep and throaty. The X pipe sounds wild like the tone/overtones are not controlled. The H pipe really sounds like it was designed to produce a well controlled sound.

Have the Gen2 S550 and have MAK race pipes with Thunderbolt 400CEL HFC's, X-Pipe and Borla S-Type axel back, the sound is crazy good! Will be changing my Thunderbolt's for some Gesi 300CEL HFC's and the future...

Derek great video dude‼️ I have always preferred to hear the H-pipe deep throaty sound; however, the X-pipe increases horse power by 10-12 while the H-pipe only increases by 4-6 Hp. I want to get my coming 2024 Mustang to 500 rear wheel Hp so I am forced to go with the X-pipe. Your car sounded awesome and didn’t seem too raspy. I plan to get Kooks headers and I have noticed that the loudness really increases with headers. I look forward to hearing Maverick with the headers. If your car becomes significantly raspy with the headers & X-pipe I will go with the Steeda H-pipe but for now I am leaning toward the X-pipe thanks to this video!!! Thank you so much Derek!!! Your mid pipe won’t make a difference, the new ones, if tuneable, will be long tubes and E away from 500whp.

The difference between them is very little maybe 2 or 3 at the most it's within dyno variance idk who told you there was this big noticeable difference between h and x but you got fooled lol. H sounds better and hp difference is a wash.

Very detailed video, trumpet music is a bit distracting on mobile given nature of what this video is, but i like certain aspects of each and go back to my old conclusion i think i like hybrid style the best, i believe flomaster made or makes one, more like a box then pure x or h. Between the two i like more classic thrumbing and or choppy sound of H but only if or when it doesnt rasp.

Man them Exhausts sound good I like both and both cars look really good but Maverick looks way better in my opinion I like the blue color more

Stainless Works 1-7/8" Long Tubes, No Cats, Stock Resonator, Stock Mufflers and Quad Pipes paired with a Procharger D-1X, Fore Fuel System and 10R80. I have the quietest supercharged car on the planet. Its a Palm Beach Dyno strapped down getting tuned. Pick it up tomorrow.

I have longtubes, no cats, a Corsa double helix, double x pipe feeding into a Roush axle back on a 16GT PP1. Oh and it's got a stage 2 Whipple. I don't start it after 10pm or before 8am at home.

These really are some of the best sounding Coyotes I've heard. Once you do a full exhaust on them that is very free flowing they just don't sound very good, they're loud, but not a nice sound. These setups sound very nice though, great tone on both.

This is why they need something like borla touring or mbrp street or something like that with a free flowing exhaust. Unfortunately everyone in the coyote world thinks louder is better and go with corsa extremes or borla ataks with their long tubes and free flowing exhaust hence why they're so loud and raspy and crap sounding lol. I heard a gen 1 5.0 manual with long tubes free flowing h and mbrp street and it sounded very good. Very deep and throaty.

You can start it my mode, track mode etc. Gotta hit the ignition first to turn electronics on and then switch to my mode, then start it

How is the H pipe compared to stock?

Have the stock x-pipe and a custom h-pipe in my chrysler '04 300c 5,7.

I have a question for handling package for the mach 1 does it comes with an 10 speed?

At the intro when he 1st started talking ( 0:26 ), it almost sounded like he was starting to rap, the way it sychronized with the beat!
