Seeing a character study of Victor and Logan both embracing what they think is their heritage, or their "genes" that they are both murderers and then both of them having to deal with that over the course of 90+ years would be fantastic. @@johnwolfe7596 Blob is one of the more important members of either Magneto's or Mystique's Brotherhood in the comics, he is definitely not a "no-name". Agent X aka Maverick was important in the 1990s in the Wolverine comics, but that was a long time ago. John Wraith was never really well known, and Bolt doesn't really exist in the comics. Kayléa also doesn't exists like in this movie, but she is kinda like Silver Fox from the comics; and Emma, who is here her sister, is very, very important, although the traditional Emma Frost doesn't have a connection to Silver Fox... It kinda bugs me when people point this out but I also feel like it does actually need pointing out sometimes. The timeline changes during DoFP meaning the Origins movie doesn't play out this way at all leading up to Deadpool's own movie, and people seem to miss that for some reason. The amount of time that I've seen people question how the good interpretation of Deadpool can exist if Weapon XI happened, and them struggling to grasp that Weapon XI just never happened to Wade in the new timeline.

Sabretooth character in the comics can be quite interesting: he is the son of an aristocrat (if I remember correctly) and he knows the civilized ways of society, but also loves to give into his animal instincts boosted by his mutation. Both sides of the same character can be pretty good with the right story, unfortunately they decided to keep his "civliized/machevilian" out of the first X-Men film because he was a secondary character, while in Wolverine: Origins (not the actual name of the film, but it's shorter to quote) they gave him more depth to his personality, but it's all buried in the wrong context (still, I don't think the idea of making them brothers was that bad... but it wasn't the best, either). The idea of making him hunt Cyclops was aimed to what's been mentioned: trying to make a loop between this prequel and the first X-Men movie, while opening more questions that could be explored in other films: Why he became more animalistic with time? Are they the same character or not (they obviously are here... but with one particular choice made by X-Men: First Class we can't be so sure any more, in the context of the films XD)?

Seems to me there is a bit of a discontinuity between the comics and the animated X-Men series from the 90s, which was quite popular. In the Cartoon, Gambit can destabilize the atomic structure of objects he touches, causing them to explode, they don't have to be moving (ie. no kinectic energy), in the comics, he converts potential energy into kinetic energy (which actually doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but whatever, comics)

Though with that said, according the the Handbook to the Marvel Universe, Gambit can convert the potential energy of inorganic material into kinetic energy, which causes the objects to explode on impact; the larger the object, the longer it takes to charge, which is why he favors playing cards - he can carry a lot of them, charge them quickly, and toss them accurately.

The Deadpool movies have no connection to this as they actually do the character justice. Gambit's (Remy) power is that he can turn potential energy into explosive energy, aka anything he touches can become a bomb. That's why he likes cards because they're small and explosions won't be too big, plus it's easy to carry a lot of them and throw them. They'd originally planned a whole series of "origin" movies but they screwed this one up so badly that the plan was abandoned. 😂

It actually weakened his healing because it’s fighting off the poisonous effect 24/7. Even then his healing factor is still pretty impressive The implication with the team’s conversation and banter during the mission is that they’ve been on other missions. Fred’s villain name in the comics is actually (The) Blob Gambit can manipulate kinetic energy. He can infuse objects with it Gambit thought Logan was one of Stryker’s agents and that he wanted to take him back. I don’t think he saw it was Victor in the fight We were supposed to get a Gambit movie with him being played by Channing Tatum, but it was taking forever to make and then was cancelled after Disney got Fox That’s not what hydrochlorothiazide does 😂 The Merc with the Mouth and they took away his mouth. I would highly recommend "Train to Busan" which is one of the best movies in its genre (zombies). Unlike the typical zombie movie with gore and a standard plot, this South Korean film was an international hit and had multiple character development whom you empathize with, a great performance by a child actor, social commentary and keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout. Even skeptical zombie connoisseurs who decided to viewed it loved this movie. afterwards. Your patreons probably don't know of this foreign film to even vote for it.

In the comics, most mutants have two powers. Wolverine has claws that pop out of his hands, so his healing power compensates to prevent him from bleeding out. They don't talk about it very often, but Cyclops not only has his power beams out of the eyes, he also can "bank" his shots because his mind can do high speed trigonometry. For example, a basketball can become a bomb. His favorite items to weaponize are his staff and his signature deck of cards. He's such a cool character but he was handled so poorly in this movie. The difference in the MCU timeline and X-Men timeline is that the MCU disconnected their universe from real-life events. World War 2 clearly occurred in Captain America, but at the end of that movie they fast forward to the "present" of ~2010 and it all makes sense moving forward. In the X-Men timeline it starts with the Holocaust and then moves forward from there. When one of your primary characters is anchored to the 1940's you're already starting out in a time deficit which doesn't make sense. In our minds, many of the X-Men are mid-teens to late 30's because then you can have cool, hip characters who say funny lines and look attractive but it doesn't make sense that they're fighting an 85-year-old Holocaust survivor.
