Magneto endured a lot of hate and suffering when he was a young mutant and he didn't want fellow mutants to go through what he did. I can't agree with his ambition to wipe a race out but I do feel his pain.

There is so much desperation and emotion in this song it almost brings a tear to your eye. If only today's video game composers understood the power of this kind of music.

I still remember the first time I made it to Magneto in an arcade. I don’t think I had continued, but I know I couldn’t hear the music well. Seeing Magneto float down off his throne, I called out, “Magneto! Come on down! You’re the next contestant on ‘Your Ass Is Mine’!” And I got mine completely handed to me.

Lmao he wasn’t that hard the first time I fought him in this game on the arcade first time and managed to kick his ass on the first try though it was tough.

When you heard this music start, you knew there's no turning back, and that your fate was sealed...for better or worse

And 20+ year later this is still the best theme for magneto to date. Nothing else compares. This game started the whole crossover concept.

**HOW** is this so gosh darn perfect a theme for Magneto? Somehow I feel like it could be playing while the events of Uncanny X-Men #1 were happening, over the animated series episode "Enter Magneto," over the 2000 Bryan Singer film...how is it that perfect an encapsulation of the character?! I can't think of anything except Magneto when I hear it!! I just don't understand how anything sonic could encapsulate a drawn comic character so well!

FOOL! You _still_ dream of peace with those who would destroy all mutants?! When I was a child my people _talked_ while others prepared for _war._ They used _reason_ while others used _tanks_ and they were _destroyed_ for their trouble! I won't stand by and watch it happen again... *I WON'T!*

This quote made me love Magneto as an anti-villain, he just want a peaceful life for mutantkind. If the humans don't deserve them, then he will create a habitat where all mutants prosper. Such an amazing tragic villain next to Dr. Doom.

Spiral, dudes. Spiral. Spam Dancing Swords until you max out your X Meter, wait for *"X! Shockwave!",* Teleport past the Magnetic Shockwave and as close to Magneto as you can, Jab, Fierce and dash in for the Metamorphosis. Granted, it only worked about half the time. But when that Metamorphosis connected, it was golden. And Magneto usually ended up getting smoked. Beware the teleporters. >:)

In the game, Magneto sounds a lot much like Beast (Hank McCoy), that's why George Buza fill in to voice Magneto while David Hemblen (Magneto in the animated series) wasn't available to voice Magneto in the X-Men: Children of the Atom video game.

+Norman Bates Buza also filled-in for Colossus and Juggernaut (in lieu of Rick Bennett [who came back for Juggernaut in Marvel Super Heroes]), Omega Red (in lieu of Len Doncheff [who came back for MSHvsSF]) and was also the one who voiced the announcer/system voice ("X!", "Here Comes a New Challenger", etc.)

Definitely one of my favorite fighting games bosses! Not only does Magneto possess here an insane number of magnetic powers but he can also use several of them at the same time in various combinations. For exemple, he can launch almost any attack after snatching his opponent with his hyper grav (tractor bubbles) or during a magnetic tempest or while being invincible after creating a force field. Not only that but he can also control his stage (it took me a while to realise that): everytime you're brought to a certain place in the stage, he can summon a magnetic tempest by bringing together pieces of metal junk from the ground (objects he can then launch at his opponent at any time on a whim). On top of that he has several different blasts of EM energy and powerful martial arts skills. I was happy when he became a playable character in Marvel Super Heros, but he was also then downgraded (loss of the magnetic triple snakelike attacks, SERIOUS downgrade of the Magnetic Tempest, and no more stage control. He was definitely at his best in Children of the Atom.

You actually can dodge the Shockwave if you super jump early enough (or teleport/Ashura Senku with Spiral/Akuma).

A little drive does really bring out the atmosphere, especially when passing on the bus route, stopping at each traffic light, waiting for the light to say go and drive on again, just like how the stage in the game goes, shifting from room to room due to Magneto's magnetic energy controlling the space station's orbit. Mind blowing, thrilling and breath taking.
