Honestly I don't think it's something that they're missing even the executioner said you didn't think we'd find a way to evolve and it's simple as this either they deal with random genetic freaks coming out in order to tell them who they're going to be or they make or take control and Ogden themselves to have the powers that they want or need The simple fact of the matter is if tranotion was going to be a thing it was gonna have borders and an army that means that we need one in kind in order to face mutants so building up a form of sentinel is legit it's planning an unprovoked preemptive attack that's the problem I knew it's not unhostile to elect a guy who threw 4 nukes at a coastal city as her leader especially when you have many flags throughout the nation proclaiming him a hero and someone who's mindset is to be followed and honored The only reason he has to kill more people than in genosha but for now is because storm and Charles stopped him. More importantly I can't help but be disgusted by the fact that my meadows letting him self be taken in by the proposition of a f***** you've been given 2 pills by a person in power if there is one thing that the matrix for late a very explicit people who have power that are offering you a choice aren't they're tricking you

This is a interesting result changing view point(and not for the better) & irony: _ At 1st she is ashamed of being a mutant thus she tried to hide as a human & marry a human but Nightcrawler's birth expose her so she ditched him _ Then she joined Magneto's cause & become overly prideful of being a mutant(seeing mutant as superior to human) so she hook up with a mutant- Saber Tooth but ironically gave birth to a normal human-Guyrick. So she abandoned him to his father abuse. Of course she never bothered to look for Kirt-her mutant son _ Since natural birth didn't give her the perfect child, she chose adoption. Finding a perfect child(by her standard)-Rouge & raise her. This child is of course her favorite & ironically the one that chose to leave her

Correct me I wrong, but haven't some comic explanations revealed that Mystique gave up Nightcrawler because Destiny, his other mother, foresaw they would have to do so for a good future? I believe the comics even explained they went Charles to alter their memories to help forget the hard choice, but Raven didn't want to forget her son. I wouldn't be surprised if we get this reveal, that she has had to put her feelings aside follow the instructions of her fortune-telling partner.

Everyone always goes surface level when they do the whole "X-men are minorities" thing. In the real world, minorities don't shoot lasers from their eyes when you piss them off, they are human just like any of us, but mutants are VERY dangerous. Normal humans have a justified and existential fear of mutants especially with characters like Mystique and Magneto running around being literal terrorists. This is exactly why I hate Krakoa (and to a lesser extent Utopia). When mutants go off on their own and create their own nations, they start to believe they are superior to humans and don't need to share the world with them. These are the acts of a villain and when youre heroes become villains, there is no one left to be the hero.

  • @tommyversetti5297

Finally, someone voiced this thought. Comparing mutants and minorities in the real world is just stupid. In fact, mutants actually pose a threat.

This fact will always make people afraid of mutants. And this fear is rational. Let's take a simple example. Will humans and mutants study together in schools? If yes, I'm not sure that anyone would want their child to study with a mutant who can shoot lasers out of his eyes, and any school fight can end fatally. Well, or there may be a telepathic mutant at school who will use his abilities to cheat on exams, which is not fair. Creating a state for mutants is the only realistic option that can somehow smooth out the tension between humans and mutants.

  • @SozioTheRogue

I think having atheists produce a biblical film could yield intriguing results. Their lack of belief might lead to a more objective portrayal of the events, while also injecting a creative twist due to their detachment from the subject matter. One could explore alternate timelines or multiverses, envisioning scenarios like a version where Lucifer remains in heaven, albeit begrudgingly, offering a unique slice-of-life perspective. Alternatively, there's the daring concept of Lucifer overthrowing God, either through genuine conquest or a clever switch of roles.

A beach episode could be an alternate timeline where demons and hellfire cover 99.9% of the planet, leaving only a lone beach that just so happens to have all of the fans most favorite biblical characters. A slice of life episode would work well with an alternate biblical school girls episode. All the MCs would all be going to a Japanese school as 1st years. A mecha episode could be the heroic figures of the bible using their enemies as organic fuel for a mecha they built thanks for God giving all of them a vision. of it's blueprint. They go up against versions of the 7 deadly sins, Lucifer and Satan who successfully ruined humanity, came back after the rapture, and just kept the earth going beyond God's appointed renovation day, killing god in their timeline/alternate earth. And lastly, the sentient talking animal companion, cool. Lets call it Lilith, after Lilith. A Dog-Cat. Like a weird color changing, small body, pointy eared cat, sounds like a demon dog from the furthest reaches of hell. They would be moving things in the background, noticeable if you pay attention but can be missed quite easily. Lilith can even get their own episode just before the finale. We can sell Lilith as a super cute marketable plush, every amazing project deserves a chance at making their own super marketable plush.

This is why Cyclops is so pivotal. He is a philosophical amalgamation of the Professor and Magento. And he is far more right than the both of them. The Civil Rights comparison never worked for me because it isn’t a good enough comparison. Mutants make up different races and backgrounds. There has to be something else that makes them different that will transcend timeand race isn't enough. Ideological differences makes more sense and puts humans and mutants at odds far better than simplistic looks differences. The first and second amendment are treasured by different people. It isn’t based in looks. It's based on a belief that people have rights beyond the government gifting them. With mutants, they would be for both. Being for the right to defend oneself by using what you're born with is a far better stance than how Marvel has set mutants up. Now that's an argument. That is ongoing. The very human why that makes you reflect on the actions of the oppressed and down trodden. He's a monster of the humans' making.

The problem with saying “Magneto was right” is that no one can agree on what that even means. Do you mean “oppressed ppl have a right to use violence to resist oppression” or do you mean “peaceful coexistence with those difference than you is impossible”? Bc the second one is NOT true and a terrible message to send. Using the war in Gaza right now as an example, does that mean that jews and palestinians will NEVER be able to coexist? Does it mean black ppl and white ppl will never be able to exist along each other as brothers and sisters? Bc I saw ppl on twitter saying Magneto is right and that “its either mutants or humans” and thats an insanely harmful thing to believe. Magneto just killed *millions* of people including mutants! Even more than innocent mutants died in Genosha. Xavier’s message was never “uwu lets never fight back against oppression and beg humans to be nice to us”. That man and his x-men literally fought and defeated bigots and oppressors like the ppl leading the Sentinel program. He just refused to target civilians, bc he believed the lives of humans and mutants are equally precious. That, to me, is who is RIGHT

Worse even than you suggest - if the argument is that Magneto is 'right' in his actions, then the unavoidable implication is that the oppressed group in any situation of historical or contemporary social injustice has the right not just to use limited violence to resist their mistreatment, but large scale indiscriminate violence and mass murder in its 'resistance', up to and including the total extermination of entire demographic groupings. Not only those individuals actually directly responsible for their oppression, but innocent third parties and indeed anyone and everyone who isn't like them, and even plenty of people who are like them who get caught up in the horror show as collateral damage. It is an argument for trying to genocide one's way to some sort of insane utopia, and history has long since taught us the horrors that sort of mindset always leads to. It is never less than terrifying to see how quickly so many ordinary people will blithely endorse policies that would result in the most nightmarish death and suffering simply because they don't think through the implications of that which they are advocating for. They fall over themselves to such a degree, in their rush to paint themselves as what they imagine to be 'morally righteous', that they wind up arguing for the most heinous evil without even realising it. In a discussion about an animated TV show that might not matter much, but unfortunately such mindsets translate all too readily to entirely real and extremely fraught political and social issues.

@@michaelbannister7412 Short answer - I think the use of nuclear weapons against Japan in World War 2 was more than merely wrong, but was a crime against humanity. There are good reasons for why those events haunted Oppenheimer and the other scientists who worked on the Manhattan Project so badly. Longer answer - the use of nuclear weapons to try to end the war in the Pacific Theatre has long been a contentious historical event. Some historians argue that it ended a war early that would otherwise have dragged on and claimed even more lives, but I don't recognise the validity of that justification. I was not around at the time, but I consider both deployments of the A Bomb against Japan to be heinous war crimes - the deliberate targeting of civilian population centres with weapons of mass destruction is simply unjustifiable in my eyes. Just like the V2 rocket bombardments of London and the broader Blitz, along with the fire bombings of Coventry by the Germans and later of Cologne by the Allies, only on a far larger scale, the deployment of nuclear weapons was a policy born of a dangerous so called 'total war' mindset that argued that wars are fought not between armies but between entire cultures including their respective civilian populations, and so it was considered, as part of that worldview, an 'acceptable' tactic to try to win a war by breaking the will of the general citizenry of your opposition by targeting civilian population centres for wholesale destruction with the intent to inflict large scale civilian casualties. I have never supported that position and never will. If you once accept the idea that civilian immunity can be ignored in any form of conflict as a tactic, then you have abandoned any pretence of moral authority.

It is well thought out, honours what came before and expands and improves the story that gets people talking about it and reigniting a love for the characters that we thought had been lost. @@kap1618 Incorrect: the original trolley problem has an obvious solution that was overlooked by the researcher who proposed it. Regarding the show: Magneto is one of the main reasons why the Sentinels even exist. In that specific situation he might have had few tactical options, but that fact is mostly his own fault: he has tried to destroy humanity himself on multiple occasions. It's a bit like the fact that 20 million Germans died during WW2. Which brings me to my next point: Magneto arguably killed more innocent people than died in the German concentration camps, which makes the tattoo on his arm all the more ironic. It is entirely reasonable that humanity fears mutants like Magneto.

@@GoblinKnightLeo First. Provide me a source on that. And second, you're either being needlessly obtuse or willfully ignorant. Contrary to what tv has shown you their won't always be a perfect solution to a problem. Hence, making a choice between two bad choices. You know what? You're not wrong. Humans have a right to fear mutants because mutants, on average, are inherently more powerful than humans. This is why Magneto is right and Xavier is wrong. Mutants and humans can never coexist because of that inherent imbalance of power. But what you get wrong is that this is Magneto's fault. Humanity doesn't need an excuse to oppress one another. Even in the Marvel universe, the holocaust and chattle slavery happened. And that was with humans vs. humans. Throw powers into the mix, and you validate the opinions of every pseudo-science nut job throughout history. It's a sad reality that Charles' dream was doomed from the start.

It’s hard to imagine, though I will admit; when I first heard them saying that Beau got the job because Kevin Feige “was interested in his perspective from a gay point of view”, I was groaning loudly because I figured just as Disney has done countless times before, they would push the divisive political messaging to the forefront of all episodes and they would never shy away from any opportunity to throw it in. Like, I was absolutely certain they would have an episode where Morph would “come out” as his true self to explain his new head. And for the record, I am still not happy with the way Morph has been portrayed…he seems like a different character altogether. But that being said, I have been very pleasantly surprised (and relieved) that it hasn’t been made totally blatant in the aggressive way I figured it would be. Sure, there have been hints of it here and there, but by no means is it distracting or heavy handed in the same way most Disney productions are now. It’s actually a shame that they sold this series from the start being about Beau’s sexuality….that sewed the seeds of doubt from the beginning and chased many former fans away from giving it a chance. Had his “black gay experience” never been mentioned as a selling point, then I think virtually ALL X-Men fans would have been completely on board with this show. While the media focused on the wrong selling point initially, now it has been proven that Beau truly did have a lot of passion and respect for these characters and that he actually was great for the job….it’s just that his “black, gay experience” has nothing to do with it. As long as they would keep things going the way they are, then I would be more than happy to see him come back and continue writing these characters. He really does seem to understand them far better than I or many others initially believed he would and (at least so far) “the message” as Drinker would say, has NOT taken priority over the storytelling as it so often does, and for which I am exceedingly happy about!

Absolutely. That's why he built the dream he had, and recruited those willing to loyally fight for such a lofty goal. But it IS a lofty goal. You can argue that Magneto knows we aren't there yet - and may never be. Not at the core of the issue. We are a petty, jealous and diomineering species. Problem being not who's right... it's that neither side is the better option thus far. * Charles effectively turned a sentient technology into a child soldier trying to kill his favored students for decades, to train them to survive a war he wants to stop... and can't likely do so by the means he'd most wish to use. Ever. Magneto would end up recreating a holocaust no matter which way he went about it. Because at the end he is more Malcom X- advocation for acceptable force (with his side's version of "force" being debatably very naturally unbalanced) The whole point of their decades long argument, and effective chess match against each other was the nuance that neither side was exactly wrong; nor completely right. It's not definitive. It's not black and white.

From a talent perspective, I really want Beau DeMayo to be re-hired. But he isn't explaining why he was fired, or (at least publicly) taking Disney/Marvel to court. While there is always wisdom in remaining silent, DeMayo's silence makes me think if he did explain why, the public might side with Disney/Marvel about the firing. If there is anything we have seen in the last decade, it's people with talent who have done things we should not excuse: Bill Cosby, Kevin Spacey, Will Smith. Nobuhiro Watsuki, just to name a few. Unless of course we're going to now and forever separate the art from the artist, even while people are still alive. And yes, Disney is being silent about the firing too. But if you were fired by your previous job, depending on the reason, you might just want the company that fired you to be silent too. Bottom line, I hope it's all just a stupid misunderstanding, and we get DeMayo back. But, let's not get too encouraging until we find out what DeMayo did or didn't do. If he did something really bad, Disney/Marvel and Demayo keep quiet and rehire him, then it all comes out later as something really bad. Who are we going to blame? Certainly not ourselves for encouraging Disney to rehire DeMayo. The last thing we need, for the sake of a great X-Men show, is to give the media a future a reason to blame the fans and, bigger picture, make it OK for companies to keep people on staff for talent no matter what terrible things they may do.
