I disagree that the tie in to Deadpool v Wolverine worth bringing up... if they all die next episode then what the hell are they doing with Season 2 and 3 of the show?? Also, as we saw in Dr. Strange MoM, in the MCU his universe would be animated meaning Deadpool should be animated if he went to recruit him from an animated universe

going to leave my prediction here.. I think onslaught is going to be a creation of Jean Grey and cable with the influence of Mister sinister.. think about onslaughts powers and then I want you to think about what Mr sinister is currently doing in this season.. correct me if I'm wrong but onslaught has the ability to possess people and there powers... And we've Been shown Mister sinister use his ability to possess people.

I find it upsetting that magneto went from good to bad because it ruined his arc of becoming and understanding more like professor x hopefully he co leads the x men in future

I sort of remember the story arc where Magneto stripped the adamantium from Wolverine. He was in bad shape after,but with his mutant ability being his healing factor, he regained consciousness, but mentally was really screwed. He left the X -men and went off to basically the middle of nowhere. His healing ability combined with the mental instability from the stripping of the adamantium, he became completely feral(which was badass), but he no longer remembered the X - men or himself. Any sign of Logan was buried deep in his subconscious. He did eventually regain that part of himself but would slip into beast/feral mode during conflicts. Eventually, he gained more control of his feral side, so Logan was more prevalent. He had bone claws for a while, and eventually, the adamantium was returned to his body. That's if I'm remembering the story arc correctly. It's been a loooong time since I've read it. And maybe my age addled brain isn't working right. Keep up the awesome work. @bennett4789 Thank you. I have to admit I didn't read all of this story arc. Parts were in the X-Men comic, and parts were in the Wolverine comic. I read The Uncanny X-Men fairly regularly, but then Marvel started the whole bazillion different X-Men related titles that had story through lines from all the different comics(X-Men, Wolverine, X-Force, Xcalibur, etc.). I just couldn't keep up with it all.

It seems like the intros each week ended up teasing something that came later in the show and so far the only elements I’ve noticed that haven’t appeared yet are apocalypse and the phoenix force. More speculation than prediction

Is an apocalypse alive and kicking.. and within the universe were shown that how people can control timelines... Now if you add that to the MCU you can easily incorporate it... They basically show the imortus already within the X-Men and the 90s animated universe

I don't buy the theory that the Wolverine in X-Men '97 is the same Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine. I think the Wolverine in that film will be an adjacent one from the FOX X-Men films. Empire Magazine has a bit of intel that the film will have heavy references to the Logan film. Since the Wolverine of the X-Men 1992-97 series hasn't experienced anything near the sort of things shown in that film, I just can't believe the two Wolverines are one in the same.

Feral Wolverine, Horseman of Death, Hope & Onslaught is next

All valid points. I'm just hoping this runs for 5 seasons at least hopefully more. This series is fantastic. I'd like to see house of m adapted. The Spider-Man side of that was entertaining. I like the wolverine in that too. Although i do know that's an earlier 2000s storyline but hey. They literally just went back to the 70s-80s costumes so. Avengers vs x-men would be cool but before house of m.

Totally pulled out issue 25 of Fatal Attractions after last nights episode. Bitter sweet as the holographic card that came with it has Gambit still attached.

I grew up on this cartoon in the 90s, and now it's even better.

Facts

I really like some sort of time travel shenanigans to happen but it's highly unlikely. They are doing so many deep cuts to the comics like the ripping of the adamantium metal, but he will revert back to the feral state with his true power kicking with Bone Claws and rapid healing factor while the Adamantium kind of suppressed his healing at a slower rate. Xavier trapping Magnetos mind within himself is going to lead to dangerous ramifications leading the death of the X-Men.

Next season will be crazy. Onslaught, dark Phoenix and apocalypse

If they connect this to the MCU. They'll ruin it. This should be its separate universe. Yes bring back Spiderman cartoons, The fantastic 4 etc. but keep them separate from the live action stuff.

I’m not sure though. They teased it but cyclops stopped it from happening unless he took a portion from magneto and that was all that was needed . If it is onslaught I would wait until a 3rd season to get people minds off of it a gradually reveal it towards the end of the second season. Give that onslaught seed time to develop

@@J.O.R.D they can still hint at it during season two by having Charlse act strange. Like being “edgy “ at times or use his powers in ways that he wouldn’t normally . But whenever they do it I hope it starts off with juggernaut falling from the sky and terrified like in the comics

I genuinely hope this leads to Onslaught, he's a villain i think deserves an adaptation

I really hope X-Men '97 will NEVER connect with the MCU, not even in Avengers: Secret Wars. Marvel is so much more than the cash-cow that is its blockbuster film franchise and not everything needs to be connected. X-Men '97 is an incredible show, and it would take away the meaning and importance of the world they built if it was reduced to support otherwise unrelated live-action projects.

I don't think it would be a reduction of the X-Men if it is connected it's more exposure of story lines and characters so I think that'd be something X-Men fans would enjoy.

I tried to smash the like button but it was already smashed into shambles

the only thing I'm against is putting the show anywhere near the MCU. Not everything needs to be MCU related and for JAckman's new Wolverine to be 97's version it would really tamper on the feeling I got of "yes, this is something else, I like it".

I think that not only are we going to see Onslaught for a possible second season which is, all but confirmed, at this point. But we're also going to see that the Persona (Onslaught) is going to control some of the X-Men and it's going to take a team of both mutant and superhuman to basically take him down and that of course is the Mighty Avengers alongside the Fantastic Four to basically stop his destruction which will lead up to the return of apocalypse

Onslaught is too big a bad for us to get in the second season, I think they will slow play it and give it to us in a third. It would make more sense if Apocalypse is season 2 and they tease Onslaught in the 2nd and give it to us in a third. Also, a lot of characters who have not been developed were involved in the Onslaught Saga. Doom, Hulk, FF, some Avengers, the Phoenix, and Apocalypse as well. Not to say they would all be involved, but there is far less character development for a Season 2 of Apocalypse than a Season 2 Onslaught.

Here's what I think is going to happen.. the battle between Jean Grey and the possessed cable.. will create onslaught... What were being shown as a red herring... Onslaught world make his appearance on the second season finale

I can see onslaught coming I can also see apocalypse taking Wolverine(war) to give him is adamantium back , cyclopse(wrath) (after losing Jean and Madelyn) and gambit (death) and maybe mystique or rogue as famine naming them his horsemen especially against bastion but I forgot who but someone said we need “hope” and idk if that’s a shot at hope summers but that would definitely bring the fatal attraction story line into the messiah storyline and it would fit so well

Deadpool and wolverine is going to be those two escaping the fox destroyed universe and joining mcu. Onslaught needs a season of explanation. Apocalypse can bring back both gambit and wolverine claws. Xmen win here but at huge costs, season with apoc and exposition to include avengers, leads into onslaught where xmen become hated and go vs avengers. However with how good it has been i trust them to do any order of any storyline. It has been the best 10 weeks in a looooooong time.

Hurry up and bring back Better Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes for Seasons 3, 4, 5 and 6 cause Season 3 was going to show Doctor Strange, Namor, X-Men, Magneto, Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Juggernaut, Nova, The Brood aliens, Black Bolt and the Inhumans, The Phoenix, Avengers vs. X-Men, Surtur/Ragnarok and Season 3 was going to end with House of M.

I could maybe see a version of Messiah Complex and AvX in seasons 3 and 4, respectively, but certainly neither of them in season 2. We need the Outback era and Age of Apocalypse first.

I am very excited to see onslaught in season 2 because that would be really awesome

I'm Excited to see Onslaught just like we need to see the Avengers and Fantastic Four but they could also do an Avengers 97 and Fantastic Four 97 Animated Series along with Thor 97, Daredevil 97 cause Daredevil never had a Series in the 90's and others.

They literally have 100s of seasons of content in the cartoon universe. Its amazing. sad t osay I dont think disney will merge the x-men 97 universe with the MCU. it literally doesnt make sense to do so even financially. There simply is so much more content not merging with the MCU.

There is one part about Deadpool/Wolverine you forgot. In the movie they encounter a bunch of other Wolverines. One of them may be the one from Xmen 97. So we may get to see a adamantium free Wolverine, just not Hugh Jackmans version. Plus. AVX is way to big for a cartoon show....they HAVE to do that Live Action! I think that one would make Endgame look like a quaint indy film!!

It's crazy how you all watched the adamantium get pulled from Wolverine, something that isn't gonna be undone in one episode, and yet you still think this is the same one in Deadpool, who has his adamantium. Common sense guys.

I think Bishop will pop up at the perfect time to save someone. He's been gone for almost the entire season so seems like he has to make an appearance in the finale. I never liked Onslaught, but it looks like we are headed in that direction. I agree with the video that Storm will be the leader at the end of the episode. It would follow some of the comicbook storylines. Jean will be presumed 'dead' and Cyclops will quit. Or maybe they both survive but decide to leave and start a new life as the Professor hoped. Would love to see them bring in some of the 'Outback' era members who aren't regulars on the show, Havok, Psylocke and Colossus. I think the Professor will go back into space, feeling that his students have surpassed him and they don't need him anymore. Hopefully the next season will give us Avengers vs X-Men. They have already set it up with the Rogue - Captain America confrontation. Or maybe that's the cliffhanger. The X-Men stop Magneto and Bastion, but then the Avengers show up and say, 'This stops now.'

They would need to introduce Franklin richards Since that’s where onslaught got his powers from too

I think we’re going to have Onslaught as the bad guy for season two and combine Heroes Reborn and X-men Vs Avengers the same way season one combined several storylines like E for Extinction, Operation Zero Tolerance

It doesn’t make sense to canonize this show into the MCU and turn the characters into live action. That will be a weird connection that’ll open up too many possibilities

He can control the iron in his blood and thus his blood flow. Thanos granduncle recently tore his heart out in the comic, and Magneto survived it for a time doing the same thing. Gotta chop off his head lol.

What would be cool is if the MCU was actually the pocket dimension from heroes reborn. Once they face the big baddie they find out they have been in a pocket dimension within a dimension and tada now the MCU joins the marvel movies ™️ and the stories can rage on without a massive exposition dump. With all the strands connecting.

Well at this point, these characters have died or fake died more times than Goku. Remember when Morph was dead?... Remember when Jean was dead?... Remember when the professor died?... Member when Magneto was dead for an episode... twice in a single season. So my prediction is, nobody is dead giving a little bit of time.

The other series aren't as good and shouldn't be brought back unless they're going to make Beau DeMayo the Feige of the animated verse. The only one even worth mentioning is Spider-Man, but upon a recent rewatch, not as good as The X-Men animated series was back in the day. Everyone wants Spider-Man '98 but it's not worth it. Solid show, just not so good that it needs to be brought back. X-Men always had more depth and more care for the comics. Beau DeMayo had and still has a great overarching vision for the series. If those characters are to be brought back in any way it should be through an Avengers vs. X-Men plot in X-Men '97. They finally got something right, don't give them too much to juggle so they drop it all again.
