@@Tushar_995 I haven't read that story, but I like the concept of it. I think in good writers hands - being asshole can feel understandable in the right context. Depending on how much you've done and got backhanded slap for that effort - being an asshole can feel so freeing that you can't help but to understand.

"MAGNETO LIVES", the way the voice actor said that and the ost playing in the background, gave me chills. This whole season, magneto has just been dropping bars😭

Yeah Magneto is just as epic in this as he was in the 90's X-Men TAS. This series has been a perfect continuation of that. When Magneto said "MAGNETO LIVES" it was exactly like when he said that in the 90's X-Men TAS "Sanctuary" episode after Cortez had betrayed him and he returned to Asteroid M to save the day.

He didn't want to to begin with, but Sinister had made it necessary to do so. At that moment, he finally had closure and was finally able to tell Cable that he loved him and Cable was able to gain closure from finally being with his parents and getting to properly say goodbye.

So it's official, X-Men 97 It's the greatest animated show marvel has created so far.

Exactly. It was worse in the comics. Cable's virus should have started spreading using that much of his power to fight Jean and Wolverine's healing factor should have overloaded. This is light compared to what has been done to them in the comics.

Cyclops and Jean are in the future in the 90's there was a limited series called The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix. Mother Askani is Rachel Summers their daughter. In the Future Nathan was cloned by Apocalypse creating Stryfe as Apocalypse saw Nathan as the perfect vessel for himself. En Sabah Nur is Apocalypse. Present day Apocalypse is hinting at turning Gambit into the Horseman Death. All 3 points in time are tied to Apocalypse.

Wolverine has his own books for his stories, but whenever he is in a xmen book he is a team member part of the ensemble not the main character, so glad they kept that for this show and characters that have been overlooked in the movies like storm, gambit, cyclops and jubilee to get thier own shine here to show ppl that dont know how badass they are.

I got nipple chills when MAGNETO LIVES and then Rogue Storm and Jean flew towards the asteroid with the BGM..

En Sabah Nur is Apocalypse. They weren't just cameos. They were fighting the prime sentinels on the ground. Iron Man and Captain America were protecting US leaders. Wolverine just got his adamantium ripped out of him; it will take a while. However, I don't think Morph was being a good friend, but kind of projecting his feelings for Wolverine that was kind of hinted with him in the third episode, "Fire Made of Flesh," with that Sinister voice telling him that he knows kind of taunting at him about maybe his sexuality. So, when he transformed into Jean and told him "I love you," it was kind of a projection of what he wants to say to him, but knows would never be reciprocated. I did love Days of Future Past film adaptation. The tension from whether he can hold on long enough to see that future happen, but also relieving that tension with Raven making the choice that forge a new future, one where everyone is alive. It was a giant plot hole with that Mystique/Stryker end. Never came up again in subsequent films. If there was anything I didn't appreciate from that movie, that was it. Then Bryan Singer's career and life spiraled and leveled by very damning things coming to surface. I guess we'll never know what he had in mind for that plot thread.

While I agree that morph has feelings for wolverine, I don't think that was a "this is my moment to confess my feelings" bc they would have done it in thier own voice, I believe in that moment it wasn't about thier feelings, it was about trying to help in the best way they thought they could for a dear friend, just as they did earlier in the season becoming sabertooth to cheer logan up with beer and a sparring match.

Morph was there, and was purely just doing what a good friend does, and gave Wolverine a somewhat consolation comfort by appearing as Jean in what they all most likely assumed was their impending fates. People will try…desperately.. their best to drag, hate and spit at Morph purely because of Morphs apparent non binary gender status.

In the comics Wolverine almost died after having the adamantium ripped from his bones. It took both Prof X and Jean mentally keeping him alive long enough for the healing factor to bring him back.

I love the reflection of Bastion in Cyclops’s visor. They both see apart of themselves in each other

El Sabah Nur (not sure if spelt right) is Apocalypse's real name. And if you look at the background of the future, there's pyramids. So, what we're likely to see is Apocalypse in different time periods. Ancient Apocalypse before he became Apocalypse, present day Apocalypse gathering his 4 Horsemen (others say that Gambit had been Death in the comics), and likely future Apocalypse as well. Season 2 will be the Apocalypse season.

@@LucLightWolf121 Fun fact: Marvel actually translates the name En Sabah Nur as "The Morning Light". Close enough to how it translates in actual Arabic: "Nur al-Sabah" (Light of the Morning).

This show is phenomenal! This is how you write a villain, someone you can actually understand their points of view. Also, the creators' really used their source materials write and wrote something that was both fresh and familiar at the same time. Really loved this, and really excited for the secind season.

Did y’all see the end-credits scene? It teases Gambit’s return for Season 2 as one of Apocalypse’s horsemen!

What a phenomenal season of Marvel Television! This season, finale was absolutely incredible, and it really had it all! Great writing, jaw-dropping animation, masterful music, amazing voice acting performances, brilliant pacing, respect for the original source material/90s animated series, and lots of fun/really cool Cameos and Easter Eggs for the fans to enjoy! I'm so excited/hyped for Season 2 and will be counting down the days! This finale and the whole season get a 100/10 from me!

9:16 Wolverine is healing. However, since Magento took the Adamantium from every part if his skeleton, his body needs time to heal every organ, muscle tissue etc. His healing factor will get stronger though. 🙏🏽💪

This episode was actually overwhelming and like I was actually worried for quite a few minutes whether if all the characters will make it through alive or not. The superhero cameos, the emotions, the fight sequences, the background score was a complete rollercoaster ride, it gives me so much hope and happiness for the future seasons of this show, cannot wait for season 2, 3, and 4. (I hope they revive Spiderman 1998 series, loved his and Mary Jane's cameo.) The opening sequence was really nice, I initially thought we were watching a flashback or memory of Magneto with Professor X in the past as young scientists post-WWII, but then the reveal happens that they are both in Magneto's mind, as Professor X is trying to repair his fractured psyche. I am surprised they did not do the Onslaught route, where Magneto's resentment, anger, bitterness overpowers Professor X's abilities and their minds are merged as the new, unstoppable entity known as Onslaught. Cable's psionic moment with his parents was very touching. Cyclops cutting loose against Bastion and Jean as the Phoenix incinerating Bastion was such a high moment. Young En Sabah Nur is eventually destined to become Apocalypse, kind of like young Nathaniel Richards is eventually destined to become Kang the Conqueror. Gambit is going to become Apocalypse's Horseman of Death. Mother Askani who raises young Nathan/Cable in distant future is actually a much elder version of Rachel Summers, the daughter of Scott and Jean. Bishop's back in the present and the he references his friendship with the much older version of Forge in the distant future, it reminded me of the friendship with the Protagonist and Neil in the movie Tenet. All in all, 10/10.

Everyone was expecting Onlsaught, but being a comic coll3ctor and self named historian (over 40 years collecting, almost 900,000 collected)), I knew it would not happen. Onslaught is what you call an incubator character: one that grows via hints and shadows in the comics. This episode was amazing, from the storyline to the animation, to the cameos by other Marvel heroes (part of the Onslaught incubation process), I love how it ended but hate that we now have to wait for the next season! Kudos to the creators of this series for giving us what we wanted and needed…

I still want Onslaught to come. But if he comes, it will be in Season 3. Apocalypse will be the big bad in Season Two. He is the Once, Present, and Future threat to Earth. Expect Gambit back as Death, a Horseman of Apocalypse. Also, Apocalypse might be how Wolverine gets his adamantium back. The possibilities are endless. We shall see.

⁠@@Rauloct5it is very well written. They’ve been teasing Morph’s attraction to Wolverine for the whole season, this just confirmed it. Turning into Jean just allowed them to confess their true feelings without any pressure of him finding out. Also Morph is confirmed nonbinary as they use they/them pronouns for them, but I also think they’re meant to be genderfluid as well.

This story line is based on the Comics. Wolverine has bone claws again and knock into a coma ... Jean Gray was suppose to spare Wolverine mind in the beginning....ends up getting the adamantium back later

4:00 Fun Fact: There was supposed to be a Daredevil animated series as well. I heard it was going to be mature as well. Unfortunately, it got canceled because it was during the same time Marvel was going bankrupt back then. Regardless, I'm so glad to see have a cameo! 💪

Whelp, there are X-Men in the past, present, and future, and the common thread is Apocalypse. And to top it all off, they brought out the "Gambit becomes the Horseman, Death" from the comics.

Rogue was MVP of season 1. When she put a WHOOPIN ON BASTIAN'S CANDY A$$, I was yelling at my TV...."Get em Rogue.....GET EMMMMMMMMM". This season finished stronger than the scent of old collared greens. There's no way X-men comic book sales don't shoot through the roof because of this series. I wish I could be put into a cryosleep chamber until season 2 is released.

​@@JumpoableYes, it's sad that Marvel decided to end the Krakoan Era and had Jonathan Hickman removed from writing X-Men. It would have been better if Marvel let Hickman have the same tenurity as Chris Claremont writing the X-Men for more than 20 years.

Animated series of marvel or dc will always work better than live actions, because they can adapt some or an extreme amount of source material from the comics I'm kinda worried for season 3 of x men 97 since the head writer got fired, I hope it doesn't flop, it's been incredible so far

Magneto is a VILLAIN, always has been and always will be. And this entire season of x-men 97 showed that the MUTANTS were to blame for everything, not humans. Bastion is a mutant, Sinister is a mutant, they were the ones who killed everyone in Genosha, not the humans. In the end, humans are the victims of this fight between mutants. and Magneto knows this (or should know).

It's hard to say who started it and when if Apocalypse who lived in ancient Egypt was the very first or second mutant. I don't know if he made humans fear and hate mutants by hurting humans, or they hurt him first. Bastion is not a usual, "normal" mutant, and Sinister is not one.

So many Superhero cameos especially Black Panther I love it. My question is: Is Wolverine going to be okay? That makes me worried 😟.

Don’t get things twisted, Magneto is a villain, they’ve brought it up multiple times in the past couple of episodes, the blackout he caused has killed thousands. Now he’s a sympathetic villain, and you understand his position, but that doesn’t change his actions. He’s complicated, and compelling, but at the end of the day he’s still a bad guy. And he still needs to answer for the lives he took.

Sunspot is one of my favorite characters and he really came into his own this episode. I'm really glad they picked him to be in this.

Gambit is coming back as the horsemen of death and I’m here for it

Peter lost MJ in 1996 and then in 1998 was going to look for her since this is 1997, so this is either before he lost the original her or her clone or they will be retconning stuff

I am SO slow. I BARELY made the connection that Madelyne named Cable after Mr. Sinister. LOL. All of the father figures, actually, except for Scott. I'm really happy that they chose to help Bastion. It felt like it was going to have these heroes choose trauma and grief to pursue the easy way bit I'm so satisfied they took this direction. I hope they do Apocalypse well because he in an undefeatable foe.

Lots of cameos!! Daredevil, peter parker and mj, cloak and dagger, silver samurai, iron man, quicksilver, scarlet witch, polaris, psylocke, omega red...and many more!! And that post credit scene with apocalypse!! Gambit is the horseman of death! Oh man, i wish they could announce when season 2 will air...i hope it will not take more than a year or so... and what an epic 40 min finale!!

How in this earth can you skip Black Panther?!

18:35 "How is he not burning her?" Because his power is *NOT* generating flames or heat. We've been over this. 🙄 "How is she able to scream?" Because there is air. "I know. Where is the atmosphere?" Right there. All around her, but also in her lungs.

Magneto is the GOAT! This episode was EPIC just like Magneto's "Sanctuary" 2 part episodes in the 90's X-Men TAS. Magneto and Charles ride or die lifelong friendship is the best part of the show just like it was in the 90's X-Men TAS.

One very important fact about Rogue’s powers to keep in mind, which is also a major reason as to why she doesn’t open with this power against extremely corrupt villains is that she also absorbs their personality along with with their powers NOT just their powers. That’s why she went from Villain to hero, when she absorbed Captain Marvel’s powers she also inherited a lot of her good will creating a conflict within Rogue that ultimately turned her good. If she were to inherit Bastion’s powers, there’s no guarantee she would’ve remained pure to see the job through and could’ve flipped especially since she’s emotionally upset during this fight…hope it wasn’t too late to share that lol I watched the show late so catching up on my favorite reaction channels

That 4621 seconds Bastion states it took to commit the genocide on Genosha is roughly an hour and 17 minutes. While that doesn't seem long what we saw in episode 5 was around 15 minutes. Gosh this show does not hold back.

Did anyone else notice Carol Denvers or Captain Marvel as one of the Bastion Sentinel at 4:11 to the left of one in the frame

I think the thing most people don't get about DOFP is that while we're seeing the events through Logan's eyes the movie isn't about him. The movie is about Xavier's journey through his grief and thanks to Logan we get to see how he comes out the other end when we see the reset timeline. It's like how First Class was about Magneto (mainly because it was a rewritten Magneto Origins script) and Apocalypse was a Mystique movie

Season 2 is already done. Most likely coming out next year

Hyped for Season 2 already. This series is the best Marvel Disney+ series I ever watched ❤.

Here are some answers to some points you said guys (in a friendly way of course) 1. En Sabah Nur is the original name of Apocalypse, who we see in Egypt is him but young and before he got Celestial technology for his armor. 2. The old woman who Scott and Jean find in the future is actually their daughter, Rachel Summers. 3. Wolverine´s healing factor is in the Alpha level of mutants but its nerfed because the adamantium poisons him constantly, besides the metal was attached to his skeleton in a molecular level so when Magneto forced it out he was literally being torn apart at molecular level in all his bones. By being in the Alpha level, his healing can be stopped if the level of pain overcomes his nervous system´s hability to respond. 4. When Bastion rips Cable´s "arm", he knows that ain´t no arm, it´s the techno-virus Sinister put on him when he was a baby, that´s why he gets that upgrade in his power. And as a fun fact, that virus works in a similar way the adamantium does in Wolverine, it nerfs Cable telekinetic power because he uses it to stop the virus from consuming him, so now he should be able to access all his powers. 5. In the end, when Apocalypse shows up in Genosha, he knows Magneto is gone so he can act with no fear and do his next move (little spoiler: Magneto can kill Apocalypse if he wishes). And he grabbing Gambit´s card is a little spoiler of what he´s gonna do now, he´s going to get his "riders", starting with a revived Gambito.

They're not saying it as a friend! It's reflective to the end of episode 2 when he turned into Sabertooth to get a (emotional) response from Logan. They as themselves dont feel that they can express their truth- so they become Jean, the woman he loves, to say it.

I'm excited for this season Finale! I hear there's a lot of Cameos! 😉

Cable's time cube is housed in his techno arm and Bastion absorbed it. Bastion was able to use the time slide when he was fighting Rouge, it is the same power projection that shown when asteroid M vanished. Bastion sent the xmen to those time, he's not dead yet.

Gambit is coming back as one of the four horsemen of Apocalypse.

Rogue cant absorb his powers, hes cybernetic
