i think Emily sang much better. the judges wanted something from Emily that she was just unable to give. like asking her to dance, well not everyone is able to dance. I agree I think they made a mistake.

Soft and angelic singers like her would never win competitions like these....but people love listening to such soothing music. She should just make her album!

her voice is hunting. it gives me goosebumps and not any can do that

i love matt... but emily has a unique voice, an angelic voice.. so sad that she didnt go to the finals..

Saara is very talented too.. I think all the Top 12 finalists except Honey G and Bradley & Octavio, were good this season.. Wasn't a fan of those two acts. However I think the final two is going to be between Saara & Matt - both deserving contenders.

Matt sounds like every other singer whilst people like Emily and Saara have unique voices which is the X factor. The only reason everyone loves him is because of his looks

I completely disagree with this decision. Emily knows exactly what she's doing with her voice and her performances. They are a little repetitive, but that's because that is her style. She also is not a powerhouse singer or a belter, that's why it sounds "weaker", but what she does with her talent is remarkable. Matt was so boring to watch. His facial emotions were non existent. He seemed disengaged and his voice wasn't that impressive either. I felt that both performances needed more for a last chance performance. It seemed like Emily was ready to go home.

I literally skipped over half of his performance, but watched her with a stunned expression twice - and I did not even watch this show.... yes, she is amazing, and I am sure she is likely to succeed in the long-run as opposed to another boy toy singer that seems to be the same guy in all of these kinds of show across the globe.

Idk I think Matt is still a better singer I think he could’ve did better in this sing off, although I was impressed by her unique style.

the truth is, Matt has a bigger voice range, and is not repetitive with different genres and style. But the soul and angelic voice she has is overwhelming. Anyway it would be interesting to watch her sing Stone Cold by Demi Lovato.

Voices can have a wide range of power depending on the person. Emily wasn't someone who had a loud voice, but that's what made her unique. Her style is soft and angelic. It fits better with her voice than loud songs. I love her songs that's she's covered, much better than Matt in my opinion.

Tbh Matt destroyed the song here... I liked his other performances but he didn't deserve to win this one

I was so board by Matt I fastforwarded through the last half of his song to hear Emily, her voice is the most hauntingly beautiful thing, she should have won.

Really don't understand the hype with Matt Terry especially when paired next to someone like Emily because vocally yes he had a wider range but he was rarely in the right key for most of his performances or he was off pitch. Personally I feel like she was far more talented in terms of what makes a singer an artist. Also feel like Matt would just scream throughout his performances constantly, like we get you have a falsetto but it's not every day.

If I am being honest, who has the best voice? Is music about the voice, the performance, the looks of the person singing or the dance with the song? I personally think Mat needs auto-tune waayyyy more than Emily. She has a pure and stunning voice where Mat has the ability to work the stage a little more. Thus I am coming back to the Question, Is music about Acting or Singing?

Emily is so meek and sweet, but can you imagine her doing something like purple rain or competing with saara aalto? The judges were completly right in selecting Matt.

I do not understand the decision of the jury. The girl was clearly better. He sung totally wrong. Oo

So, three of the judges knew Emily's performance was the better of the two, and yet they sent him through??? Was it because he recited the words to the song, or what? Don't answer that, I know exactly why. They put him through because of Simon. Congratulations to Emily for a beautiful run in the competition, I know SHE will go far!

You know we all know the judges knew also, they got a win win ,Matt got recording contract and I just bet Simon and Emily had been approached by some label if not something is wrong because she truly can sing and her vocals so different she is a star.

He was off pitch, his falsetto was sooo weak, and this was a huge mistake on the part of ALL judges except Simon of course. Matt is cookie cutter material only. There's nothing unique about him whatsoever. Emily has her very own style and sound and she'll stay true to it.

I thought Emily did better, just saying.

True... Emily isn't ready for touring but would be great in the studio...Although, I've been saying that she's MUCH more comfortable with her guitar.

I don´t like his voice and singing.. is like earing 50% of Adam Lambert..honestly Emily is wonderfull she should have won!

still upset about this lol. Matt was so boring to watch and he has no originality in this performance. looks like he was singing a cover to put on youtube. no performance, no originality. Emily was the complete opposite, you can feel her emotions when she sings and you see it in her face and she know what suits her voice. She sounds the same almost every week, yup, for sure, but it's because she is smart and knows what sounds good. Terrible decisions from the judges. Emily could have won the show.

Well I think the point of this was actually to be more soft so that the sound sounds cooler or something, I still thought Matt won this sing off but I do think it was one of Emily’s good performances

I'm sorry. I like her and all, but if she'd hit 1 solid note rather than "breathing" them all out she might have had a chance. She just couldn't back any of her vocals. Everything was too airy and had no bass. That was her undoing. Terry had a much more solid range. It sucked but there it is.

I'd probably fall asleep...but hey, if YOU like her artistry...I'm not stopping you, but I'm glad the judges did P.s. unfortunately, Emily's performance WAS better than Matt's THAT night, but NOT overall in the whole competition)... once again, MY Opinion. ;)
