I should have been asleep more than an hour ago but I guess I'll just have to be tired. There was no way I was going to miss this. Playing on repeat.

You know I sit tonight and listen. Back in the 1980's, my best friend and his girlfriend at the time went to see "X" at a theatre across the street from where we worked, a gas station. It was in Santa Barbara California at the Arlington Theatre and I was either 16 or 17. I didn't care for punk, I was a "metalhead" and a mobile deejay playing freestyle/funk. I worked that night as the marquee shined with "X" and the crowds that were in line! Years later I continued deejaying and couldn't stop playing mostly new wave/punk, goth, metal, the privilege of growing up in So Cal with all the wonderful music and cruising LA/Hollywood. I turn 60 this year and still deejay on the internet and I play this great music, but I regret that I didn't buy a ticket to that one concert across the street to see "X." You are awesome and you bring back memories to a simpler place and time with every song I play.....viva "Los Angeles!"

OH YES INDEED. May whatever God you worship bestow blessings on Exene, John, Billy and Don. Long live the mighty X. I saw virtually every show in San Diego they did in the '80's (and a couple in OC) and I can't recall anyone else delivering like that onstage that consistently..

Im counting the days til the album's out. When X came back with Alphabetland i was completely stunned - name any other other band that could land such a powerful record after such a long hiatus. I cant think of any. I know the new one will be just as good, or even better. Oh, and X? Australian punters would turn out in droves if you could see your way to touring here. 😊❤

Oh, wonderful! I had no idea X was still making music. Saw them at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1984. Always a top favorite band for me-the music of John Doe, the lyrics of Exene, and of course the guitar of Billy and drums of D.J. They all deserved SO much more than they ever got.
