Wyrd Minis- Malifaux Basse Core Box unboxed and built!
Took me a while but I got the new 3rd Edition Basse crew all built up!
Of all the crews previewed for 3E, they were the one I was most excited for.
Obviously Cornelius Basse is based on Marshall Bass Reeves, which makes him instantly cool in my book. As the first of the keyword Frontier models I knew they'd be able to be put to use in other tabletop games as well.
I was quite pleased with how the models turned out. Nothing too difficult other than some side weapons and the fringes on the Frontiersmen's chaps. Take a look for yourself!

Are they still fiddly to put together? I came along in 2nd edition with the Victorias. I also loved there avatar of slaughter. On top of that I love steampunk models and the like.

Overall I'd say they're easier to put together. Some are still a bit fiddly but nowhere near as bad as they used to be. I should have the Victorias up in the next week or two hopefully as well. Always liked them too.

I... don't... know actually. GMorts Chaotica was always a good source to look at models and was a valuable resource for me. gmortschaotica.blogspot.com/p/unboxing-malifaux.html Anyone else out there have any suggestions? We always end up using the stuff for other games...

Are you talking more about channels for building models or other Malifaux content? Third floor wars is a channel that has been doing battle reports, painting, and crew breakdowns. Out of the Breach (another channel) did their first English battle report (very good quality). Some other miniature based channels do Malifaux content from time to time and I'm hoping that the release of 3rd edition makes that happen more often. There are a number of good Malifaux podcasts (schemes and stones, Tabletop talk, Steam powered scoundrels). There is a Facebook page (A Wyrd Place) and the Wyrd forums are pretty active. I hope that helped!

Hexbag does battle reports as well as Skirmish Miniature Gaming.
