Wyoming Elk Hunt - A 2023 PNWild Film
Спорт
PNWild presents a 2022 Wyoming rifle elk hunting film, The guys turn up a great Wyoming 330" +bull two days before the season opens pushing about 9-10 cows. Jeff and the gang try their best to turn him back up when the season opens but the hunt takes an unexpected turn when Jeff gets an unfortunate Sat message from home forcing him to head for the trail head and head home. But on the way to the trail head the boys turn up a cow elk which is legal for Jeff to harvest in this unit. We hope you enjoy this PNWild film!

Less selfie. More scenery. I had a wife like that once. Glad to shed that weight.
Great videos. Thank you for sharing. Inspiring the next generation.
Great song choice while breaking down the elk! Shinedown is my favorite band.

That's just the way it goes, when you get out there, you win. One way or another. Thanks for sharing.
Found out this week I drew Chelan Butte A OIL Bighorn Sheep tag. Also drew quality buck but ill worry about that tag after my sheep hunt
Great film, amazing hunt. One thing I found that really helps me spend more time behind the spotting scope while hunting Dall Sheep and Brown bears, a simple drug store eye patch. Instead of holding your closed eye, just throw a patch over it, you don't get the eye fatigue. Look forward to your next film.

Good job ! I’m so happy for you , i know about wondering about an animal , and hating myself because i thought i should have never taken the shot ! And finding the animal is down ! Is a really good feeling !!!
If you want a nice bull you need to be more aggressive. You have a rifle, go in and get it done dont sit back and wait til later unless the wind is wrong.

I don’t believe he was referring to the big bull prior to the opener that was pretty clear in the video. I am an aggressive hunter and that works for me. Everyone has there own style and sometimes it’s a matter of predicting what other hunters are going to do in a pressured area. You guys make some high quality film. Take the comments for what they are and keep on keeping on.

Been looking forward to some content from you boys!
I hunted that basin in 2021 for deer. Saw a lot of mtn goats and was in range of a number of elk including some solid bulls, but I only had a deer tag. Gorgeous area just wish it wasn’t so “dry” 😂 Thanks for sharing your hunt.

Just came across your channel. No luck in the Wyoming drawings this year and it's killing me knowing I am not going out this year. Half way through the video and I know exactly where you guys are at as I have pounded those same ridges and canyons. Awesome footage guys.

Holy product placemat Batman!
Looking good guys. Sound was really good. Did you each have a mic? That worked well
Need another film night at the Lincoln Theatre
Love the content, support PNWild Could do without the filter/coloring on video Rather have something more clear
Good stuff boys. Question - Do you guys use a lut to color grade?
If you’re hunting 81 like the thumbnail shows not sure why you’d waste the tag and the tough effort it takes in that country in the unit on a cow especially in that thick griz country
Did Dalton end up harvesting anything after you guys left?
as long as you got alan jackson, 10 in bellevue aint so bad!
Please stop telling your entire platform to come to wyoming! Sincerely, Wyoming Natives thank you

Points and license allocation will keep us NR’s out…. Saying that, I will see you in Unit 48 this blowing my 7 pp”s
Doesn't necessarily need 4 points to be legal, good job filling the freezer
Where can I find a water bottle and hose like that orange one you have?
How do you like running 48s in the k4 nalgene holster and then running a swig rig from that? It seems like it might bump your elbow a bunch and/or the hose gets caught on vegetation easily.
@PNWild
11 ай бұрын
We haven't had any issues with the hose catching on brush. It stays pretty close and tight to the pack. Elbow can bump the nalgene but it hasn't been a big enough factor to deter us from running it that way.
They put an “Ollin” promo code up while they are obviously using Magview adapter🙄 @10:28

The reasoning is they do the same thing but the Ollin does it better, we’re both paid we’re recommending the better product

@@PNWild I agree ollin is the better product. I use it as well. I just don’t like the false advertising. It’s like wearing kuiu while promoting sitka. Regardless, it was a great video and I enjoyed the content.
I wondered if you guys got kicked out on the first area where you saw the big bull... then settle for a cow, and btw your caption said Sept 2023
What area of Wyoming is that? I’m guessing western. Was just curious it’s beautiful.
@PNWild

Yes western Wyoming, it’s beautiful
beautiful country. cut out filming yourselves talking and it becomes a much more watchable video, and about 1/2 the length. Like that the hunt started off with seeing a dandy bull, ended up killing a cow. Very realistic to western public land hunting

How do I get in touch with Dalton
Is the mic on the bottom of your boots? Love the content but the sound is annoying, just an observation
Great job on this video! Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I hope everything is okay at the home front. I was curious on what rifle and caliber you utilized on your adventure? Your attitudes and energy are contagious! Good bless!

you guys are violating the blaze orange requirements for rifle seasons in Wyoming, just sayin
@PNWild

when? when i put my hood on? OR you talking about Dalton just says one orange garment and i had a hat on the entire hunt and dalton was wearing the orange bino harness.
You are required to wear more orange
So you cut your hunting Excursion short because of your phone call from your wife and when you got home you found out the reason was because the toilet was plugged up
I don't know what hunting has turned into., it seems to me that all Hunters want to do today is either sit in the shack with a heater and shoot through a window. towards a bait station or sit down on the hill with a powerful telescope and wait for the animal to come to them. When I was young enough to hunt what we did is we hunted,, we went after the animals we didn't wait for them to come to us we got off our butts and went after the game it's called tracking and HUNTIMG!
Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Shine Down did that crap cover.
why would you use a floorless tarp as shelter! a normal tent keepsthe vermin out and keep everything dry and only adds about pound or two. never ever will i camp like that,not worth it
Hunting videos are nice and all but would be better without knowing the state or unit. Just let people speculate. One of our favorite hunting areas has been ruined by very popular you tuber. Let people do there own research. Us locals are over run and what use to be trophy area is now mediocre and full of hunters. Not knocking out of state hunters just let people figure it out on there own please.
You can’t get one Bullshitting
I just tried to watch this episode. You are terrible. Dalton should not have to pack your pack. There were clips of you hiking without a rifle. Who is packing it? Everything about this film is shady and wrong. I I respect what you do but what you put out is not rite. Please tell Samong not to join your gang of paid people that are basicly gunho people that cant do anything else but this. Its getting really bad. Everyone can see it.
Tired of these out of state KZreadrs trying to look like hunting professionals. Our big game in the Rocky Mountains is being decimated. There is no fair chase to our big game animals with all these long range setups. Sitting and spotting from miles away, then shooting from 1000+ yards. These guys are a joke. I can't stand hunters like this. I am so sick of all the high-tech stuff with hunting anymore. Again, there's absolutely no fair chase to our big game animals anymore. I grew up in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and I'm so tired of seeing these wannabe snipers wasting our big game animals. Most of them that actually end up with a good clean kill cut off about an eighth or a sixteenth of the meat which is illegal. On top of that many of those thousand+ y ard shots end up wounding an animal that they will never find. I can't tell you how many dead animals I have come across that were poor shots from a thousand plus. The rules need to change or else there won't be any big bucks are big bulls left. Guys like this are exactly the reason why.
