Wylie VS Mechanic. Which is the BEST DCPS Boot Cable for iPhone? DT880 Alternatives

Since the DT880 is no longer available, I test out 2 alternatives to it, the Wylie WL-615 and the Mechanic Power Pro Max Boot Cables. These are essentials for any repair shop technician.
These allow you to test the boot consumption before prompt to boot & after prompt to boot. The consumption can tell you a lot about the problem the motherboard is having.
Instant +2A draw before you prompt to boot? You probably have a VCC/VDD Main short.
If you get small jumps after you prompt to boot? You probably have a short around NAND or a missing SYS_BOOST coil.
If you see normal boot consumption, that can help you diagnose no image issues.
Which tool do you think is better? The Wylie or Mechanic?

Hi Jessie and thank you for the incredible educational content as usual. Have you tried the qianli ipower pro max? Bought it recently, doesn't give random restarts, has a power button on it and also has a promt to boot separate button. Supports from Iphone 6 to Iphone 13 Pro Max

that's the downsides of having different meters Multiple different Cables That's what I never liked about the squid .. Thanks for letting us know these tools exist .. I'm currently waiting for paul daniels to get done with his Meter Kind of goes off the same protocol as the old meter
I´m testing it on iPhone X. I see a power cycle with the display connected (After apple logo, the display shut on and off over and over). If I disconnect the display (Only motherboard connected) then I can see the motherboard powered on, I mean no more shut downs. Do you know why is that ?

The issue with the flex on the Mechanic is a no go for me - so....that leaves the low quality Wylie which I guess is better than nothing and goes up to 14 pro max. This really sucks. I wish someone would make a Dt880 clone up to 14 pro max.

Jesse with all due respect, you are doing your viewer base a disservice not reviewing the Aixun p3208 DCPS. not only is it a DCPS it is also a DT880 on steroids, with wifi capability for pc logging

@@VCCBoardRepairs My mechanics is totally disaster , it will not turn on phone, some times it will, some times not, talking about working phone as iphone X,11 , 12 pro Max etc. Its makes me to bring few times wrong diagnose, i enjoy watching your videos . Abiut iBoot i recommand Qianli , and your DT880 was old but i like it.
