It's like he regained his forgotten character arc from S5

I especially love the humming scene, bc Kai doesn't simply shut Wyldfyre down. He explains that they need to be quieter in a way that she easily understands and she complies, bc she doesn't feel disrespected. I just think that this is surprisingly neat parenting for a show abt little plastic people.

its funny that in season 8 he said hes not great/doesnt know how to take care of kids. bro hes selling himself short. sure, maybe hes not good with infants (baby wu lol) but he can absolutely take care of kids. nya, lloyd and wyldfire are great examples of that

I love how Kai just kinda adopted wyldfyre especially when they do kinda have the same power (heat and fire) since if an elemental master has a kid they lose their power and it goes to the oldest kid (first born).

There's something heartwarming about him just being able to connect with kids. There's Nya, Lloyd and Wyldfyre as more direct examples (I see Wyldfyre-Kai as older brother who moved out finds he's got a new baby sis) But he has also shown to be good with kids in general, there's him giving classes in Crystallized (maybe a bit brutal teachings but the kids were clearly paying attention) as another more general example.

⁠@@jaya-rd4idactually, Heatwave is WyldFyre’s guardian, not that I don’t approve of their relationship or Kai adopting her if he can, but wouldn’t he need permission from the guardian (Heatwave) first to adopt the ward? Biologically, since Heatwave raised WyldFyre, he’s WyldFyre’s guardian meaning WyldFyre is Heatwave’s ward. Like in Monkie Kid, MK’s guardian is Pigsy.

⁠@@jaya-rd4idit’s confirmed that Wyldfire has the element of “heat” which sounds stupid but makes sense with one of the main theory’s I believe in for dragons rising My theory is that the merge makes new elemental powers by MERGING people WITH their surroundings Wyldfire was in a volcanic environment which produces a lot of heat the new elemental master of wind (forgot her name) was from CLOUD kingdom (she also may have like a cloud element similar to wind but different like the Wyldfire and Kai relationship) and Sora was in the highly technological city of imperium (Slight extra theory building off this is that Aron might be the elemental master of Spinjitzu considering his strange abilities with it and he was right next to Lloyd the grandson of the first Spinjitzu master)

This is probably the best kai had been since season 7 ngl I can't say he's exactly like how he was in his prime but I can at least say I do like the direction they took with him I do think though he dodged the first two merge quakes beatrix shot they did em a bit dirty just getting slapped into one after that like he practically lost his kid for all he knew and i was so ready to see him cook just for him to be taken out like that kinda sucked. Still though overall Kai is pretty good now

Wyldfyre’s cans melting foreshadowed the reveal that her elemental power was heat.

This is one of the best if not the best duo in ninjago. Amazing

@@jaya-rd4id The Island isn’t a season. It’s apart of the main series. So I would consider it and Seabound as Season 14 and Crystalized is Season 15. So this would technically be the 16th season of the franchise. But I guess people confuse the Island as a season.
