Damn straight. His whole arc was learning humility and responsibility. They forgot that in later seasons, but Dragons Rising is doing the right thing with Kai. He's always being a hot head even when he matured that was a part of his character. But now making be the mentor for another kore impatient hothead is the perfect role for him. Also, they dont make the Ninja feel useless until the big battle like other seasons

I love how each of the characters get their own sideplot, like how zane has to deal with loss, cole has to follow master wu, nya has to help sora, lloyd has to help arin, and kai has to help wyldfire. They did fantastic with this season

Wyldfyre crying over Kai getting pulled into the portal at the end of s2 part 1 broke me. Thank god for auntie Nya coming to comfort her niece. Like hell yes Nya, Protecc the fire baby.

I like how Kai told Wyldfire the difference between pranking and bullying. Maybe after the merge when he saw there was nobody around and got lonely, he realized all the times he had been rude to Jay. Most notably calling him expendable.

I love how Kai encouraged Wylde's sneak singing, in a way that still helps them. By making if funner by whispering. That's why I see them as having a father-daugher relationship, mostly cuz I theorize that Wylde is his and Skylor's daughter since she has red hair like Skylor.

@@boonAlinawe do know one thing The wildness is a completely new thing. Or else it would’ve had a plot and we would meet wildfire earlier (probs before crystallized.) The administration is in the realm of madness so most likely realms have sort of sub lands/dimensions. Judging by the name Wildness, I’m assuming that it was somewhere in the realm of madness Why I bring this up? How would Kai and Skylar have a child that ultimately was in another dimension. Kai or Skylar would’ve most definitely brought it up if they ever met again but they never mention it. Not to mention that is was literally explained that Wildfire grew up in the wildness

I love Kai having to deal with someone who's essentially his younger self, and them becoming chaos sibling towards the end xD

Kai being a teacher, was a super interesting idea that I wanted to see on screen. And the execution is amazing, can't wait to see more in season 2.

As the ghost of sensei yang said "as iron sharpens iron sensei sharpens student" i like how kai is teaching wyldfire just like how sensei wu taught kai

I feel sorry for Lloyd to have two of them haha. But nice to see that Kai is helping Wyldfyre with his old problems. So much character development

I hope next season is a Kai and Wyldfire focused season I know they aren’t technically doing those but at the same time it’s kinda hard to say they aren’t because you give characters larger roles than others and you put the faces on the box so technically focus seasons are never gone

I feel like Kai should be a better sensei than Lloyd at this point in time, because he is way older and the most ambitious ninja, but he was turned into another version of Jay and was stripped of his character. He became just "the fire guy". And now he finally gets development. But he is still less than what he should have been. He was the OG main character after all.

Skylar has the power of Amber, temporary use of the power of anyone she touches; and Wyldfire's abilities manifested when she lived with dragons which breathe fire, almost like she absorbed power from them. In some alternate universe, Wyldfire could be directly related to Kai and Skylar. Of course, that's just a theory.
