Good old days.. no smartphones, no social media.. whenever i came back from school, i used to switch on tv and straightaway open channel V, this song always used to come !! Brittany was so famous, so was J Lo, linking park and boyzone.. I enjoy literally every day of my life, never felt depressed and anxious .. things are fucked up in 2024 now, i don’t even get good sleep these days

In 2002 I went see Wyclef launch his album at Shepherds Bush Empire in London. It's a great venue and I was right at the front. When he dropped this track my girl and I went nuts. Was the first time we'd heard it. We must have been dancing hard, cos Wyclef had up pulled up on stage and we danced with him to this and the next couple of tracks and we had a drink with him after. Feels like yesterday, always love this track, it never gets old! As human being I respect Wyclef cos he's real. He works hard for his country Haiti and loves his people. Respect and Love.

I'm also playing
This song takes me back to my youth when I left school in 2002. Reflecting on those days, I battled chronic depression and anxiety, often confined to my home due to the fear of encountering threatening gangs. Despite my apprehension about the world, I realise I found happiness in my solitary existence. Perhaps my comfort in solitude stems from those early years of isolation, although I did yearn for companionship. It's astonishing how we evolve and mature. I've transformed from the fearful boy I once was and, while I still avoid conflicts, I no longer dread the vast world. Yet, I remain someone who appreciates solitude. I do have a girlfriend, but I also wish for a friend who shares my interests. In summary, I'm proud of my personal growth, and I achieved it independently. 😁

I'm the gayest ish. No offense to gay ppl. But when I vent, damn it, I'm gonna vent. But I heard this in my head today. Some decades ago, I thought pastors were perverts 🙄...That's already a mind f on its own. Today, I'm in another field of a mind f. & It low key makes me a little tad. That I just hafta accept death, & see ppl as numbers, just to cope. But I already see frustrations from a bill miles away before I even "see it." I know y ppl get angry but lawd, I'm not some freaking bizzilionare gah that can regress anyone's health problems & plz don't come at me like that. I'll cry. I won't really but close. This pastor really done got mad at me bc his moms dying. Well sir, all I got for u, the only answer I have for u is at least ur assaulting mom... Calls me a sweetheart 👍. Vs my supervisor, pretty much: cut ppl short. Tell em ur sorry & just be about ur merry way

Did a lot of dance moves on this song in the late 90s and early 2000s. It stuck in my head with the lyrics, 2023 on. Great piece, Wyclef.
Happy Birthday Wyclef! This song will forever be a classic.
Just stumbled on this song, what a tune. Wyclef is a legend and an amazing rapper. I miss this kind of music, rap nowadays is awful. The music, beat and instruments in the background are savage.
When I was new to high school no one wanted to be my friend and I was picked on a lot. Except for this cool kid called BJ Watts. He somehow didn't care what everyone else thought and was decent with me any way. He used to constantly sing the line: "shot caller, what are you preacher". As often happens he moved away soon after and I was friendless again. This song reminds me of him. Wherever you are BJ I hope you're doing well and life has been good to you. Thanks for making life a little bit more tolerable back then

Change the way you see your story whatever way it would lift you up my friend Your better and stronger than you think honestly all it takes it self love no matter what focus and momentum to change You are a internal being made from love and wisdom Thank the stars for your powers Stay tuned in my friend
I'm glad Wyclef exposes this side of the "sex object" females go through. Males have to deal with the same shit too (I know because I've been there). The point is.... some folks have artistic features by genetics, and while many are using that as a stepping stone to other opportunities, either to modeling or just plain paying tuition to follow their life's passion, let us be respectful of them as a person no matter what.

no, he's seeing a female through his own eyes, noone should STRIP to pay for college fees, all he is doing is making it okay for men to be perverts

3 things have never changed with me. 1st.my feelings for my childhood love who's my wife now by the way. 2nd.my dream of having a family of 3 kids with just one woman(blessed with a 3 year old boy already) 3rd.and last but not least, my choices of music. This was my jam as a kid yet still gives me goosebumps like the golden days

It was a great time.. I'll never forget that long hot summer of 2001. Those days all you had to worry about were girls, motorcycles, and where your next carryout was coming from. That's what we called alcohol from off-sales/liquor store. Then the innocence died when the towers fell and Afghanistan and Iraq began. But for a short time.. those few months in mid-2001, it was a great time to be alive.

October 2019 and I am sending this Song to my sweetie ❤️
I remember me and my mate Michael blasting this out in my radio cassette player back when we were 'cruising' in my 5 door MK4 ford escort back in July 2001 - and you know what - the sun was shining through the sunroof to the point were we were nearly blinded when we first heard it !
I can now say that I've been after this song for over 19 years and I had no clue how to even serch for it. Rhythm came out on my mind tonight, I let it flow and I remembered who made the music, than I googled it. I listened to this music about 8 straight times, now I am here to do it again. (Sad and Heavy) Masterpiece.
I've got a very vivid memory of this song playing when new back in 2001. I was a 16 year old having just left high school. At a bowling alley with friends and after a couple of games we sat in the bar of the bowl getting served alcohol (specifically, neat baileys amongst others) and i remember this track was on. Those were the days!
