Thank you so much for posting this! I was actually lucky enough to attend this card at the Maple Leaf Gardens as an 11 year old. I still remember sitting in the Reds right in the Centre for this one. Really brings back fun memories! Great stuff!!!!

Yes. He did standup promos for the Canadian syndicated shows.

My guess is that he had a match shortly before cutting that promo or that he recorded several promos before shooting this one. Back then the wrestlers were taping a lot of promos after their matches, often time spending many hours taping these promos for small venues or local tv stations in the US and Canada.

Paul Roma and Jim Powers? Well powers must have felt cheated when Roma and warlord became power and glory. Hey Jim, it’s power and glory not powers and glory bitch you’re out! Poor guy great jobber. That really broke the kayfabe for me when I was small because I saw Jim powers lose to jake but given their physiques it looked impossible jake would handle him so easily and then the pattern continued. Too many ripped jobbers getting spanked. Not saying strength and conditioning is everything but come on. Jobbers look more believeable when they look like jobbers instead of bodybuilders.
