Michael Cole kept saying that there was a personal issue with Sami and he wasn’t going to be on the show this week. He said it about five times.

Sami's absence was acknowledged by Micheal Cole twice stating he has personal reasons. If that was deliberate, then yes Pete, you're correct. But I think with HHH now, it wasn't a kayfabe absence. He probably was off for a real reason.

This is what happens when you skim the show. Not ideal when you're watching it to review it.

To be fair, Cole did mention that Sami wasn't there and attending to a "personal" issue during the Uso's match. But I do agree, the show felt off. Still better than it was this time a year ago (way, way better), but kinda off.

From what I saw on Sami’s instagram it seems that someone close to him has passed away which explains his absence

You just proved you didn't fully pay attention to the show. They explained it three times that he was sorting out personal matters. Also they did have some dialogue by Roman while Shaemus was speaking, during the brawl before Drew entering. Also the surprise was that former rivals Shaemus and Drew where teaming up vs Bloodline.

Did you all know that the audience was told NOT to chant for Sami in Saudi Arabia or they’ll face a fine? This is why he was gone for a while to NOT explain why he not allowed in Saudi, the biggest show of the month.

Jimmy was caught on a hot mic talking to the crowd saying Sami wasn't there. That was in the first 20 minutes of the show. Cole said on commentary multiple times that Sami was dealing with a personal issue (which is a shoot, if you follow him on Twitter.) Pete is mad about something that did happen, claiming it didn't.

They did say Sammy had family issues and was not going to be on the show during the uso match

Sheamus' mic glitch kinda took all the steam out of the main event

I don’t think any one has mentioned it yet (I kinda have the inside scoop), but they mentioned Sami not being there on commentary.

The commentators did give an explanation as to why Sami was absent.

*Im pretty sure they kept Sammy off the show to keep the Uso’s breaking the record special and about them, and not having constant Sammy chants. Just his presence would have overshadowed them these days*

I think that'd be a good way to build Jey's frustration in the storyline. He breaks the record for longest tag title reign in WWE history with his brother, he's trying to celebrate with the Bloodline and the crowd only cares about Sami.

Pete maybe watch the show you review with a bit more concentration because I am pretty sure commentary mentioned Sami wasn't there and was dealing with a personal issue.

The thing I like about main events in the opening slot is then you don't know how long they'll go! They're a lot less predictable. It's how the Danielson v Page match ended up a 60-minitr classic out of nowhere!

Point, but you can't do that EVERY week. You still need a _main event_ in the main event slot, because as the saying goes, it's how you leave them. You can open with your best match, but the actual main event still needs to be a banger or people will think the show was mediocre.

Sat is right about the greatest big man match. Also they said on commentary that Sami had personal issues and wasn’t there. Several times actually. Being that Rampage was taped probably contributed to the pacing being better.

It’s true that Theory does have a lot of potential but I don’t think he’s ready for the big one yet. I also don’t think He should be the one to beat Rains as he isn’t really. They could have done exactly what they did with Rains but I think the best option was to beat Braker for the NXT championship. I think cashing in on the NXT championship would help bold the championship instead cashing in on the US decrease the contract even more so with a fail. I do think he is ready for the US title so why not give it to him. I don’t understand any aspect of the decision.

Can we get a Top 10 Big Man matches? Can be big man vs big man, or cruiser vs big man. I’d honestly like to know which ones would be good watches. *Undertaker is ineligible for this list, or can only be used once.

Good show last night, but my only problem is everything was so predictable Specially, the results of the matches. The only match which didn’t have a predictable result was the women’s six pack challenge and what are they doing with Xia Li can’t remember the last time she’s ever won a match. When it came down to the Roman Reigns segment at the end, I knew that was going to be about wargames and to me it was so obvious when I saw Seamus and his crew start fighting with the bloodline straight away. I said Drew McIntyre would appear, and he did. So it’s safe to say, Kevin Owens will be joining Seamus’s side, and then will have the return of Sami Zayn. We are after wargames, he will be exiled from the bloodline.

I don't know the main event last night wasn't so predictable for me the ending of it was with the brawling brutes coming out to start war games but just before that they were teasing Roman calling out the rock he was about to ask his cousins who the head of the table in the family is and a lot of people missed that but they want to start that build as well I think that's also one of the reasons why there wasn't a big focus on Sami and explaining his absence except from Michael Cole they wanted people to focus on Roman and The Usos. Everything else was yeah predictable lol as u said so that's fair

Now my mind is baffled to who could take his place, because that’s gonna mess up everything which I think they were trying to do with Sami, Zayn siding back with his old friend, and being kicked out the bloodline.

I think the story line with Sami being in the world cup I believe will end up being between Braun and Him and be a nice call back to their feud from many years ago, I would like to see Sami actually win and possibly win against Gunter setting since everyone in the bloodline has held gold accept Sami
