Same thing happened in SmackDown VS RAW 2010. Jeff Hardy was removed in SVR11 when Jeff had No More Words in SVR10.

A lot of these removals I get as many are either in AEW or have left the company. The fact Strong & Sarray who are under WWE contract are not in the game is weird they were both featured in last year’s game. I’d expect Mia Candice & Tegan to be DLC

Strong and Sarray are in NXT, 2K said that they have to negotiate with NXT wrestlers since it isn’t in there contact to appear in the game, so maybe 2K don’t think there is value in paying them to appear in the game over other NXT stars

Papa Shango still has a pretty good chance of being included. With no confirmed Bray Wyatt as part of the initial release, it’s possible Shango can be included in a DLC pack alongside Bray, Uncle Howdy, “The Demon” Balor, and any other “spooky” characters they may want to release.

Ric Flair being removed was a targeted attack towards my heart

And out of these I could definitely see Mia Yim, maybe Tegan Nox and especially Candice LeRae being DLC since they haven't announced any of the DLC packs yet and it would give them a couple more months to get them in but that's also me just hoping

I believe Rikishi has been removed too, but since Samu signed a legends contract in Feb. 2022 look for the headshrinkers to be dlc this year. That also makes it a good possibility that the Steiner's will be included this year also. Headshrinkers vs Jimmy and Jey Uso sounds good to me

Not surprised by most of them being removed especially the ones released and wrestle for other companies and legends. But superstars who have returned like mia, tegan and Candice can easily be included by just using their 2k22 models and update the attires and intros. My caws are gonna be a lot different this year because most of the intros are gone and probably some moves.

Apparently, Tyler Breeze is in the game as a legend. As per Up Up Down Down's Rating Reveal Video.

Sasha not being in the WWE games anymore is something I really hate seeing. Eve being dlc softens the blow I guess.🥺

Brian "Road Dogg" James is another in a LONG line of male Charlotte Flairs who'd be a nobody if his Dad wasn't in the Hall of Fame, ie "Bullet" Bob Armstrong.

Sad to see Breeze go the most… I was so hoping he’d be in the Rumble. I really hope the cuts that have since returned are DLC. And I hope Bronson makes it in too.

For me the legends are the ones that I like to choose in a game. Hopefully they’re able to keep a lot of the top ones.. or Mabe do a legends pack where some can eventually be added

I still think we have not seen the full roster yet. I mean Johnny Gargano wasn't on the list but has said he's in the base game.

No Dusty Rhodes is a shame. Love his theme and having him Tag Team with Cody the Nightmare and The Dream would have been amazing.

I'm pretty sure Nia's return was just a one-off, given she hasn't appeared or been mentioned since and is still in the alumni section on WWE's official site. So even with DLC she's very unlikely to make it into 2K23.

It's actually possible that WWE is planning something for Nia and doesn't want to make her return too obvious. NIa wouldn't come back just for a one time appearance so something is happening that no one knows about

The only one I'm really sad about is Breezango, there goes one of my top tag teams

There's a few other people that you forgot like everyone skysim, Chase U, Boa, Blair Davenport, Channing "Stacks" Lornzo, D'Anglo, Gable Steveson...the list goes on. Its most likely they could be saved for DLC but I doubt some of them will make the cut.

None of them appeared in the previous game though. That was the whole point of the video, 45 superstars who were *REMOVED* from 2k22.

It's clear to me so many of those who were already gone from WWE prior to 2k22 were left in because there were so many that their roster would've been gutted and way too small had they removed them for 2k22. Now it's too far removed and they have more new under contract people to fill those roster spots so they're gone. Also the Godfather wasn't REALLY in 2k22. He was officially locked into the Myfaction mode along with those other models that were, you couldn't access or use him in Universe or Exhibition. I know whatsthestatus put those out for use on CC for all modes but that wasn't official and is still a bit glitched as I downloaded his Godfather but could never access the 2nd attire.

I'll miss Nia Jax and Roderick Strong being playable. Hopefully with the new showcase we'll get Nexus and Kurt Angle.

Cesaro is the ONLY one I'm going to miss. MAYBE Jeff. But honestly, being that I don't really keep up with the current talent, I'm actually happy we're getting a lot of Ruthless Aggression characters.

I'm with you... Although, I'll miss Joe too. But, my favorite roster is still in 2k19. All of the best Indy guys were there along with a great main roster and the legends.

I just hope their entrance and victory animations are still available.

1:42 Tyler Breeze is in MyGM mode as a playable general manager. Arguably even better than being included as a superstar.

The undisputed elite sounded amazing till the scrapped Undisputed Era vs The Elite. Adam got injured and Bobby Fish left and left Kyle O'Reilly in limbo. Adam recently returned but disappeared again

I think they just released Papa Shango and a couple other unknown releases so that they can be re-added as dlc in a year or 2…

Weird Mandy being left out when you saw some of her new shirts in the crowd.

That's because she was removed late in development. I mean, there were signs for Daniel Bryan, the Bellas, and even Frankenstroman from the WWE Originals pack from WWE2k20 in WWE2K22, yet none of them made that game. Same went for shirts for the Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter tag team.

Thank you for the info mate, I was so disappointed that my favortite The Iconics was missing from the roster, now I know the reason, but I do hope they will return on their next games

While a lot of them can return as dlc I'd hope that'd just be one pack for returning people. Because I wouldn't want new stars debuting for just updating the roster with models and moves already in from the previous game.

I'm gonna miss Cesaro, Kyle O'Reilly and Kushida. Especially Cesaro since he was always a big part of my Universe mode's world title scene

It seems like 2k23,s day 1 in game roster is not going to be as big or as good as 2k22,s. I don't think they are going to add another 40 superstars. Unless we get 15 version of John Cena. Because we got a lot of versions of Rey Mysterio. Granted we are getting most of 2k22,s DLC . No Mr T and Saray is kind of a bummer though. I could see Naomi being kept in the game if she is still under contract.

I run an AEW universe mode and I can’t see how I’ll have a better experience doing that in 2k23. Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, Toni Storm, Kushida, Ariya Davari, Keith Lee, Swerve Scott, Timothy thatcher and Trent Seven were all useful because they were in AEW but I didn’t have to use image space.

I can understand for Roddy Strong, but Sarray is a head scratcher.

I might skip this year until it’s like $20 for the deluxe edition. Sasha was my favorite, I was looking forward to Mandy, I loved a lot of the exclusions this year. The only ones that make me want this are Bad Bunny, Liv Morgan, Zelina, and retro Randy

Its rumored a Wyatt DLC pack and another one called “Welcome Back” with the released superstars so everything will be okay i guess hahah

This means that there's plenty of reason to go back to 2K22.

The roster, the likelihood of a disastrous launch and online experience, the slow trickle of DLC, the fact that the game likely won't be much different graphically, technically or as an experience. Seems like a, "get on sale at Christmas" if anything.

we still don’t officially know that because he did the same thing last year with 22. not many were shown because of promotional material. last year they had done the roster reveal with a picture and overall and they didn’t really fully showed the people who were released that were still in the game until a week before or the week of was when they fully showed the roster reveal list.

Like I know Mandy is not in the list because she got released which wasn’t long ago but there’s no way she did not make the game. Keith lee, Ember, Billie, Peyton, and many others were released months prior and still made the game and they weren’t shown in the first roster reveal. but we’ll see once the game comes out.

Candace might make it along with Gargano imo. No dlc packs have been announced and the woman's roster dosen't seem yet done. Fiend and other releases who are regularly on raw and smackdown might come in one of the packs. There's no chance for any of the suspensions or mandy tho.

Pretty sure Road Dogg was similar to most who were fired and rehired since he did come back after HHH was back in charge

For anybody panicking after hearing Smacktalks say Nia Jax was under contact again, so far the news say she hasn't been resigned and so far the Rumble was a one off appearance

Johnny Gargano confirmed himself that he is in the game including Candice Lerae so I wouldn't say that they won't be in the game, including Tegan Nox there was enough time for her to be in the game I would think

Johnny is in the base game as he returned in August which gave 2K enough time to be put him in. Candice came back in late September & missed the cutoff to be on the base roster. She’ll be in the game as DLC

@@billythehardcoregamer8163 he never mentioned Candice he only mentioned himself. 2K have the full on disk roster on the website Johnny listed Candice ain’t. Most of the wrestlers who returned in August early September time were able to make it to the base game that’s why Braun Dexter Johnny Kross & Scarlet made it on the base roster. Candice will still be in just as DLC as she missed the cutoff for the base roster

@@hypn0298 no, because the old console generations have a savegame lock to 1GB, (for PS4, dont know about xbox) and wwe2k22 nearly hit that lock. So with more slots, they would go over the 1GB

I'm excited about Bray. Hopefully they can arrange something with Brody's family to get him back in over the next couple of years. The dude was great in every role.

I love the Jeff Hardy "no words" theme song smh... The community thingy does allow they theme song when I downloaded Jeff and some doesnt have announcement name why is that.

Road Dogg was released along with Regal earlier in 2022 when Vince was letting go of HHH lackeys Samoa Joe was another one let go. Once HHH came back in July of 2022 that’s when Road Dogg got rehired.

Road Dogg was released for a bit, I thought, maybe that's why he was missing... Either he was released or asked for his release until Triple H took over and brought him back

Some days i hope they could have every person that’s ever been on the roster, even people that have only worked for companies they own licensing and footage of.

Fact is, Queen Zelina is in the game and people complained she is outdated. 2k could easily patch in the 2k22 versions of Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox, Mia Yim & Sarray. Then people could still complain their outdated. Also seems like Nia Jax was a one off, but she would be a worthy addition to the Bloodline once Rhea becomes champion

Slapjack was fun to play in 2k22 along Mace and T Bar faction members. William Regal needs a different outfit attire I don't really care about same Regal I'm going to miss out the Attire that 2k Needs to allow to a Lord Steven Regal with street clothes dress him up as the Real man's Man and real Man's man Steve Regal theme song

I think Road Dogg's absence is probably because of Billy Gunn's situation who's currently in AEW and New Age Outlaws is a two-man team despite being part of DX.
