As far as i know Angle didn't sign with anyone so I'm sure they could add him and the Trailer had Buddy Murphy in it so i really hope he is in somehow.

In this day & age, you'd think every game would let players customize the controls. I don't always do it but it's a great option to have. I already feel the pin is going to screw me up a lot

Unless there is a demand from either the wrestler or wwe, I figure MyRise will save a handful of released wrestlers so fans can still get one more year of those wrestlers. Reys showcase might help with that as well a little

As someone who's been playing wrestling games since the first THQ/AKI/Yukes games, I'm approaching this one with cautious optimism. Last game was an absolute disaster, but hopefully they can redeem the franchise this time. I'm most interested in seeing more of the creation suite.

If we're getting a Rey Showcase, then that straight confirms we're getting Legend Killer Orton with his Burn In My Light theme which already has me hyped!

I hope myRise will have multiple Branches and a lot of unique feuds and build-ups and not just "Win title" "Feud with former champion"

I hope they don’t put too much emphasis on controlling one superstar. It would be a massive downgrade disguised as a new feature.

Thanks for another great review Smacktalks. Long time fan,first time making a comment. I am hyped after this but I do have grave concerns about universe mode possibly being limited to just playing only one character. I might be alone but what I like most was create everything, wrestlers, arenas,belts etc & having my own CAW universe where I could play anyone on my rosters. Hopefully it is not as it seems and will still allow for that.

I’m even more happy for Universe Mode. Thank you Smacktalks.

I hope online GM would be possible. Multiplayer GM in SvR is so fun and making it online would be a great way to modernize it.

I still think it would be dope if they had models of The firefly Funhouse puppets in cutscenes for Bray

I’m genuinely excited for this this is gonna bring WWE 2K back to life and apparently their keeping superstars who were released prior to the release of the game

Won't lie, biggest thing that has me interested in the game is at 6:27 and hoping this goes for both male AND female creations, we need bigger bodies if we want to create superstars like Yokozuna, Awesome Kong, Rikishi, Viscera, etc...

I really like the sound of the new controls, but that CAW mode is exactly what i've been hoping for with the class system

Wow, this is impressive actually! A new engine and “my faction” give me a lot of hope.

This definitely has got me excited for the game. It would be dope if released superstars were still in, but I know how WWE is. I just hope that by the time it comes out ALL THE MAJOR GLITCHES are ironed out!

I’m so happy that the 2020 smackdown arena is gonna be in the game for what I saw and hopefully the raw arena is in the game as well

I think the reason why we see shirts and character models of former stars is that the 90 day no compete clause or those are the assets from an old build and change it up... Who knows...

Seeing how Samoa Joe and what appears to be buddy Murphy in the game gives me hope bray will be in it also seems Rey will be the cover star since he is the featured showcase

I hope in my rise game mode they continue with Blade and BCW and Buzz radio or playable character or maybe Red and Tre radio would be new or something. Like keep the cinematic universe going even if it's totally unrelated people in the story mode.

Something I still hope they add is the ability to use custom themes from Spotify since they have a contract with them now

That looks to me they have brought back the real life renders too that is awesome if that's the case.

I'm sure that there will be a classic button system option in the game for those that want to play the game with the old button system or for those that will struggle with the new one. They do that for all sports games. They give you button system options.

I think Murphy will appear in Rey Mysterio showcase, that's why he is still in the game

So, a great chance for Rey's first wwe intro and the return of Smackdown FIST arena.

After reseeing the clips of the new Edge model and the effects in the Goldberg entrance, it makes me wonder will this be the case across the board for systems? Or is this just a case for the Xbox1 and Ps5 editions, will the previous generation consoles still look the standard we've had the last couple years. I know new technology better capabilities for graphics but still the advanced generation consoles are stiff rough to come by so would 2k still keep in mind the other generation consoles?

@Smacktalks Hey I just noticed that there is no irish whip in the controls Does this mean that it's gone? It's one of the most basic features and I would hate to see it go.

Because of the 2K showcase, I think we're getting Eddie Guerrero's heel theme from 2005, and Kane's My Chemical theme, not to mention Mysterio's first WWE theme.

Haven’t watched wrestling in about 4 years and even then it wasn’t consistent, yet the return of GM Mode is making me actually consider buying this game

In create arena there's the movie option where you can pick raw SD or ppv Stage design animation or whatever it's called. Basically the thing that's playing on the stage screens they should make some custom ones not just general purpose. And also if they could upgrade or add new patterns so it's not just a left to right scroll. Or if they wanna do the scroll thing at least make the fire an actual fire or thunder thunder or something even if it loops. That's what all the patterns could do is be the same pattern but with animations not just some image that went left to right. Like at least have lights flicker or glow effect or even the colors fade or shade that could be an effect or something just to add to it so it's not just a picture that's moving.

I hope we get the option to remove the real life character pngs and bring back the character model ones, I like many others will be downloading a ton of CAWs it's going to look very weird having them along side the normal character pngs

I would love if the 2k showcase had some WCW/ECW cuts

Hopefully the dodge and block also work on finishers and not just strikes or moves.

That creation suite looks promising. I hope it allows more room for more custom creation

I spotted a Keith Lee shirt during the zoom on Graves new model

ive spotted that the first fox arena in 2019 and the thunderdome and the new arena is all in the game you can see the 2019 arena behind roman vs big e screen in mygm

There are couple of gameplay features I want (I probably won't get it in Either WWE or AEW.game, but I can imagine): one being that wrestlers should be allowed to do finishers from anywhere if.it suits. This means doing avalanche attitude adjustment should not be a secondary finisher but rather finsihed requiring them to be on top of ropes. Similarily, all moves that can be done from top rope should be possible, like AJ's clash, or Goldberg's jackhammer, etc. That way secondary finisher will have more value,.plus game will be fun in a way that finisher happens anywhere if it is possible in real.

If I'm being honest, 2K22 is shaping up to be very good from the looks of it and I'm actually looking forward to playing it.

It all depends on whether 2K contracted a star or if there appearance was part of their WWE contract. In the past NXT stars had to negotiate with 2K themselves which is why Ciampa, etc. were missing from 2K19. If Kross, etc. made deals with 2K whilst in NXT then they could still be in, but if they were included due to their WWE contract it's up to WWE.

Very pleased to see Goldberg's model looks great, didn't think he could look any better, but they managed to do it... I was worried they were gonna get old decrepit Goldberg, but no, his physique still looks prime as it was before, which is great... The only change necessary is they put some gray in his beard, the way he looked around the 2000's, which is perfect.👍

I haven't been excited like this for a WWE game since WWE 2k14 😁 I hope i's as good as it looks. Can't wait for march!

We need more than three matches in GM mode! If you don't do that, you will lose customers again, but then also forever! GM mode and only three matches would be an insult to anyone waiting for 2k22. Then remove it completely and bring the universe mode as close as possible to the GM mode!

Really excited Hope WWE2K22 could add Road Warrior Animal, Road Warrior Hawk, Warlord, One Man Gang, Typhoon, Earthquake, Bam Bam Bigelow, Demolition Smash and Demolition Ax, Sgt Slaughter, Hercules Hernandez, Hillbilly Jim, Albert, Vader and Jim Neidhart along with Big Boss Man

I heard it’s so realistic that 2 of the paths in my career mode you either get to the peak of your career and they fire you and you head to AEW or you get blocked from being creative and they fire you and you go to AEW.

I'm really hoping they put some form of create a story in there.

I can't wait for the game to release the game looks really good and updated.

For the GM mode, I wonder about the scope for the customization aspects of the mode. Because it would be nice to be able to add your own brand and pay per views to manage. However, I feel like that would make GM Mode and Universe Mode be more or less the same.

I'd like to see a vs gm mode. Like I book smackdown and my friend books raw and we compete for ratings.

Looking at Creation Suite there is no Bruiser and Specialst (both classes were shown in MyGM mode) shown as starting class. One would think that Creation Suite and MyGM would be showing the same 6 classes at least.

I hope that in my rise, earning a championship means more to you and it's not just your put in a championship match
