Thanks for the kind words! As a viewer of many channels myself, I also like videos that are to the point. I’m trying my best to upload more, and I should be able to in the near future because this new Mac makes editing (the longest part of the video creation process) far more efficient.

@@RamalMedia I agree. The m1 Is a game changer. Only complaint is that there's no bootcamp support, which was what I loved in Intel macs.

I was waiting for the new version of the MacBooks but when I saw nothing about it in WWDC, I bought the M1 MacBook Air and the performance is just mind-blowing.

This was EXACTLY my situation as well - the performance and efficiency of the M1 MacBook Air has changed the way I think of “powerful” computers on a whole

I ordered my macbook air on June 1st and I recieved it 2 days after wwdc I was happy I didn't hold my decision of not buying it until wwdc(and I didn't have the budget too😝) it's insane I usually use it for web browsing and coding and the battery refuses to die comfortable 2 days battery 🔥

It's a tough call for me. The most heavy work I foresee doing is music recording, likely through Logic, potentially recording multiple tracks simultaneously with multiple plug-ins and such. I just don't want to run into a situation where I run out of power or things start getting choppy. I really have no idea if this type of workload is more or less than mild-moderate 4k video editing. Either way, I want to see what M1X will offer and for what price. I debate Air, M1X 14", or wait even longer for the new Air.

Top notch presentation. This channel should blow up in 7-8 months. Best of luck.

I was really hoping they added HDMI and an SD card slot back, plus usb port(s) at the least. Would make editing videos and importing files great rather that having to make a rough edit on one device.

Yeah this is very true - these features (except for USB-A I believe) are planned for some more “Pro” focused Apple silicon MacBooks, according to the leaks anyway

Depending on your needs (if you’re not doing any too strenuous) the MacBook Air should be fine for you - I edited this entire 4K video on the MacBook Air and despite it being fanless, it kept up with tons of headroom

I plan on making a video about this soon, but unless you’re doing anything that requires a pro-longed workload (full CPU/GPU usage for 10+ minutes) the MacBook Air should be more than enough

I had mine since mid December and it is SO GOOD seriously just buy one for anything except the high end video/photo work (or drawing, the iPad Pro is for you ~artists~) Lol can you tell I love mine?

I definitely can lol this thing is great for basically anything you throw at it except for the most demanding of tasks, which makes sense considering its positioning in Apple’s lineup
