WW2 Snap-On Ratchet Rebuild!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
A quick overview, disassembly, lubrication, and reassembly of a 1944 Snap-On no. 71N 1/2" drive ratchet.
This particular ratchet can be identified as a 1944 based on the "E" stamped where the date code would usually go, indicating "emergency" production for the World War II effort.
Let me know if you guys enjoy this old tool videos and what you think of the new format without any narration or music!

Thank you so much! I'll need to upload some more ratchet content!
1:36 in the Snap On repair kits it says strike drive of ratchet against wood block to free the base plate etc.
Mine has allen head screws, can I get replacement screws? If so, where? What are the specs for the screws (if it makes a difference)?
It that a grease nub on the top?

Yes it is!
How do you know it’s from ‘44, what if the E is backwards?

Might be a mis-stamped E

There's a chart online showing the various production dates based on these codes.
