WW2 Relics on The Frontline Britain Trail
#ww2 #wwII #frontlinebritaintrail
I take a walk along the Frontline Britain Trail at St. Margaret's in Kent in search of World War 2 relics. Bunkers, old ammunition magazines, crashed aircraft sites and a mix of other interesting things.

Fascinating Tudor, very educational. I often say 'As we get older, history gets closer'! It seems to resonate more now than when we were children. Grateful for your research and splicing it all together seamlessly. Thank you.

I think you’re so right. I know that the older I get, the more fascinated I am with history.

Really interesting walk and talk. Thank you Tudor. It fascinates me that Britain was able to construct these defences at haste without modern communications. I sometimes wonder whether we'd be able achieve the same today.

Indeed. What’s that old saying? Necessity is the mother of invention.

IMO it’s worth the 2hr. And of course you can take longer at each section. I know I didn’t cover all the old buildings in South Foreland Valley and if I’d had a mind to maybe trespass across Townsend Farm field, I might have discovered more remnants of the Bruce gun!

I’ve often heard retirees saying they are busier than when they worked. I think it’s just that they can get up to more “fun stuff”.

Reminders of a tragic time in our collective history. I couldn't imagine what the men that manned these stations went through. So much destruction and death. You hope that this was going to be left in our past, only to see it again today in skirmishes around the world. I'll pray for peace and practice acts of kindness.

Great “to see” such history from WW11. Enjoyed the walk. Imagine the Home Guard undertook some of the observation work? I felt tired just watching that long cliff climb you made!

I agree about the Home Guard. They would have been committed to their duties.
