The archer here is normally named the Achilles end the archer is a 17pounder monted on a velantine

The Universal Carrier and Lloyd Carrier aren’t tanks, they’re AFVs, also when it says the tank destroyer Archer it shows the M10 Achilles.

The first "tank destoryer" that looks like an M10 is actually "Achilles", not "Archer", similar to Sherman Firefly, the American M10's 76mm gun was interchanged with British 17-pdr gun (I mean look at the main armament description in the video), and is named "Achilles". It is one of the less well known adaption done by British tank design. And for the "Archer" namesake, it refers to the adaptation of Valentine infantry tank being armed with the aforementioned 17-pdr. I mean search the Archer tank destroyer (if you're curious) and compare with the picture and you will be surprised. This is not to put a dagger to the content developer, but it helps to remind the authenticity of historical accuracy is paramount and should not be understated.

They are the same like Wolverine, T25/2, Hellcat, Archer, Achilles, M10. Its the same model. But its still Archer.

The archer is an achilles, the archer was backwards, had the gun mounted above the engine, so it could reverse into position then drive away quickly when spotted.

The tank destroyer labeled as an Archer is actually an Achilles. The Archer was built on a Valentine chassis with the rear of the tank facing forward.

That's not an Archer, it's an Achilles, and the Firefly is not a tank destroyer, it's a medium tank

The Grant and the Lee are two slightly different tanks. The difference is in the turret and the placement of the radio, with the Lee having the radio in the hull and the Grant having the Radio in the Turret, allowing the 37mm loader double up as the radio operator, giving the Grant a crew of 6, instead of the Lee's crew of 7. The Grant was almost exclusively used by the British, while the Lees were used by the Americans and some were sent to Russia. The tank depicted in the video is a Lee, but the crew of 6 that is stated in the video is correct for the Grant

The Black Prince was ready at the end of the war, it was just a wider Churchill Mk. VII with the same armor profile, engine and speed but a new weapon. Also, The Black Prince is not a Churchill 7. They're very different.

Missing a few tanks

I'm confused, theres the T14 Assault tank prototype and even the TOG II but no Comet I, M26, M36 Jackson, M18 Hellcat, M10. The M3 light tank is a M5 variant. Am I missing something

This person probably forgot about it, I mean. Can’t really blame this person since there was so much vehicles from the allies (including prototypes and on paper designs). For example the Pershing.

I went to the tank museum at bovington and saw the oldest Sherman surviving Sherman tank and comparing the different aspects compared to the newer versions was quite fun

M3 Lee and M3 Grant are the same, the difference is that the first one is American service and the second one is British service, AKA the same as Sherman 76 and Sherman firefly, both objectively the same but British versions are just modified for their "pounder" guns.

TOGll was super slow and very long. Chuchill crocodile had a flamethrower and it one of my favourite tanks.

@@awsomeoperation2405 and thats as far from the truth as possible lol. IS-7. Very popular in wot. Only 2 prototypes where made. 1 is in Kubinka tank museum in Belarus. Didnt see combat. Centurion AX, bluebrint tank. Any KV from the KV-2 are bp tanks. E50/50M, E25, E10 aka Leopard (not Leopard 1) are all blueprint tanks. The whole japanese and chinese tech tree are almost fully made out of bp tanks. The only tech trees that are made out of IRL built tanks are the 277 line, old IS-7 line, STRV 103 B and Kranvagn line and the Obj 268 line. And to ad to that, not every tank that was built and tested saw combat. Look at the Maus. Built, tested, never saw combat. Same with the IS-7, T-10 (M) and the IS-4 (M)

End the real archer the archer here I normally named Achilles

Seems you got the archer confused with what I want to say is the Achilles

TOG was "The Old Guard" - designers who worked originally on WW-I tanks!

You left quite a bit of tanks out, bud.

You missed a whole BUTT LOAD Of British and American Tanks, Tank Destroyers, and Not to forget TANK's of the Other Allies, Early War French...Ect. Ect. Russia has a Stand Alone Video of Course. I did not forget that. Also the Carro Armato M13-40 is a Italian (Axis) Tank, not Allied.

This was all British. American tanks were lend-lease. Italian tanks were captured in enough numbers that British used them.

That "M3 Stuart" is actually an M-5A1 Stuart. Different upper hull.

M3 grant (UK version m3 lee) is by UK M3 LEE IS FOR USA

And the tank pictured is the Lee (British designation for the US pattern M3 used by the British and its Commonwealth), not the Grant (UK exclusive variant) as is labeled.

Instead Archer should be M10 Achilles

Just feel like pointing out that the tank shown in place of an Archer is an Achilles. Which is based off an M10, whereas the Archer was based off a valentine and is probably one of the most interesting TDs ever produced. Honest mistake, just felt like pointing it out. :)

Great vid, but I gotta say, there's a lot more tanks missing here and made some mistakes
