​@@Snaakie83No, that is a huge misconception. Hugo Boss NEVER designed those uniforms, the company only manufactured them. It was Karl Diebitsch who designed the uniforms. The black SS uniform for example was created by him in 1932 with the help of graphic designer Walter Heck.

I have always wondered if WW2 soldiers had more equipment than WW1 I mean, apart from the rifle (carbine in WW2), both generations of soldiers had Stahlhelm, gas mask, shovel, Y straps, grenades, boots... Is there something WW2 German soldiers wore or brought on them that WW1 German soldiers did not?

Actually, he still has a point because the Germans often mixed their uniforms regardless of time meaning you could see a German in 1918 wearing a 1908 tunic.

My mother in law threw away her grandfathers WWI uniform because it had some moth holes!!!! I waited until she wasn't around to say "WTF" I was able to salvage a bond poster.

​@ImMaxiThink No, i didn't say the tunic is wrong for the impression. It's still a 1907/10. It has the brass buttons, thr brandenburger sleeves and the red piping. There is no m16 tunic. The only other tunics produced where the Einheits bluse 15 and its Bavarian equivalent with the field grey collar. Also the helmet is still falsely named. Please if you could provid me with an Image or other source for an m16 uniform, im happy to learn.

Okay so it's a cool video I will say that but there is something's that you have to fix for eksempel if this is a late War Edition then he shouldn't be wearing The early war uniform and the helmet is not a M17 helmet such a thing does not exist it's a M16 and he should probably also be wearing the low cut boot's Oh yeah and it's A German Gewehr 98

German uniforms are hands down the best uniforms as in history class Germany made sure every soldier had every need to handle hours or days of operation without trenches they were truly the superior uniforms

Not a strict requirement, the 1907/10 tunic was issued and even made in some fabricators until the end of the war

Well the 1916 tunic was only for the bavarians. The collar was same color as the other wool. The m1915 bluse had a more apple greenish color collar that was for the other states. Obviously this color could change from manufacturer to another but it was pretty similar. But the early war tunic were still very present along with the m1915/16 tunic so it still fits. Even tho the repros are not the best.

​@@Ricky_the_Georgian "Kar" is simply short for "Karbiner" (carbine) - meaning it was a Gewehr 98, just with a shorter barrel

Tunic is completely wrong. An Latein war soldier normally had model 1915 which had field grey buttons and no Red piping. The Stick Handgrenade is the wrong version, the steelhelmet is M16, the gasmask shown is model 1915 which is semi acceptable.

But it was pretty common in the 20 century that old uniforms still being used even later in war. US still had ww2 items during năm. And some british officer still wear they Great War uniforms at the outbreak of ww2

@@starwarspros7556 look at painting and some pictures in the Battle of Verdun (1916) some are still wearing the M1907/10 and some are wearing the Vereinfachte tunic, I'm not quite sure about 1918 they might still be wearing those for corner cutting, but some Freikorps unit post war wore the M1907/10 Tunic but It's Freikorps theyre Militia, but my point is theyre still arround and they couldn't really replace the old tunics so most of them who wore oldder uniforms are veterans.
