Your stopmotion is the best but you using Brodie helmet to the British soldier kinda weird because It's created in 1916.

The one Event in History that gives me Hope in Humanity Fröhliche Weihnachten! (Merry Christmas!)

107 years rather during the beginning of the first world war, German, British and French soldiers celebrated Christmas together instead of fighting and they were right. Could it happen again to see soldiers celebrating Christmas together instead of fighting? Merry Christmas everyone!

Well most enemies don’t celebrate the same holidays. All kind of a waste since they went back to killing each other later. As a war veteran I would just prefer to killing my enemy till it is time to go home than than a temporary truce. Just saying. Nothing personal, just war. I am sure under different circumstances I could have been friends with my enemies since but life isn’t always sunshine, unicorns and rainbows.

And today we are brothers, Tonight we all friends, A moment of pies in a war, That never end...

Christmas can stop a war for a moment and im happy about that :D

Your video make my day! It's great to see soldier stories of WW1 and WW2. Animations are nice as well!

It's amazing that christmas can stop even war. It's so wholesome and reveals that we are all still humans inside.

I am jewish and I still find this moment in history beautiful.

This happened on the Eastern Front, too; when they pulled back from Krakow, Austrian troops remember the Russians leaving them three Christmas trees with a message saying “Merry Christmas” and praying that the war would end soon…

Absolutely beautiful and perfectly captures you to the feeling and experience of the event. Well done.

Ok, I'll be honest, I saw several Xmas truce animations and this one no doubts is the best one.

Every time I think about this or read about it, it touches me in a way no other story or event ever has, the feeling it gives me has no words. It is nuts to think in one of the largest wars in human history, a common idea of a holy holiday can bring enemies close, and silence the ever thundering weapons of war.

@@LCMhistory Thank you, Happy New Year to you too! Yeah, I was working on my Dunkirk animation, I have about 2 minutes of photos so far, but university has forced me to psotpone it until my graduation, I am far too busy! I am looking forward to getting back to animation after graduation :)

Only problem with the minifigs. The Brodie helmet was introduced in 1915. But this is good either way

Actually I combined a movie and a commercial. But both of them are pure art. And I did my best to recreate the story in lego :)

@@gonzalocastillo6489 Well... I buy expensive lego custom minifigs from The Minifig Co, United Bricks, Brickmania and other companies. When I make smth about WW2 I also buy smth cheap from China but chineese guys they dont make any minifigures for WW1 so there is no other option - only expensive figs from those companies.

for more realisticness: back then the british werent wearing the brodie helmets yet they were just using hats for their uniforms but in a matter this was the peaceful event yet merry christmas and happy new years edit: the british were'nt wearing the brodie helmet until 1916

@@gabilecrack8231 In real life both sides were changed with the new soldiers who didnt participate in the truce. And those old soldiers were regrouped and sent to the new parts of the frontline in different platoons
