They dance with meaning/authority, I like watching Hopis, I'm pueblo myself, similar ways , same spiritual/ceremony structure. But these men dancing here, you can see jus how old and sacred this was and still is, gives me the chills!! Thanks for sharing!!!!:)

@Reddcoin GroupDuh! there are Native peoples in mexico 2. They r of a different tribe(s). They have different customs and culture. The seperation of united states and mexico was created by the europeans. There r less than 300 miles separating the Pueblo people of new mexico and the Native people of mexico. A lot of southwest Natives and Mexican natives probably have some spanish blood in them.

Yupp our brothers and sisters to the south..! In Hopi/Tewa we have a Parrot clan ... where do you think they migrated from... AZ doesn't have parrots... an on my dads side the Snow clan their migration story links them to the southern most tip of South America... we're all relatives

I'm from northern Minnesota. My Mom was an RN in Keams Canyon in '86. Loved living in Hopiland. I loved watching the kachinas dance in middle village. My favorite were Velvet Shirt Kachinas. I miss Hopiland.

Alot ov work goes into preparation for this dance. The men and women have to fast but the payoff is that they're not doing it for just us Hopis but the entire world. One ov my nieces/daughters took part in this a dance group like this so these always reminds ov her. Be happy and treat each other well.

The world is going to be ok. We keep our traditions and languages alive. Prayer for the whole world.

This music is wonderful to fall asleep to. Like adult lullabies..LOL It's so calm and rhythmic. It is even better when not feeling well because that drum becomes a heart beat which is so very healing. Try it some time.

I love seeing everyone involved and peacefully observing. I'm Navajo and have noticed a lot of drunks, competition and non involvement at our dances. So sad but beautiful to see our Hopi neighbors one wirh their culture.

Nikyle Wes guess what us Mexicans lost ours a long time ago while some tribal languages exist and they’re mostly known as “rare or ranch languages” I’m like wtf no that’s a native Mexican language 🤔🤦‍♂️

Just goes to show pagan religion well soon die out. I grew up tradional but now nominal Christian. I still know my language. Ever sense I started reading bible I got more fluent in Navajo. But public Ritauals weren’t really the main stay in navajo culture from what I remember.we just had a lot of ceremonies .never been to a ye’ii dance till I was in high school. Even squaw dance, never saw the actual horse riding or dancing we just usually went there socialized then ate then left, didn’t see any of the ritual. It was a really boring affair.

Shortyc 38 I was just telling my experience with Navajo religion. To be frank it felt like a waste of time. That’s just my opinion, if your offended that’s ur problem. And that’s what’s it says in the Bible doesn’t it? all pagan “ non Christian” religion well soon die out. Even look at head lines. A lot of drunks go to navajo dances, that statement in itself tells me something isn’t working.

I'm Pueblo Indian living in CA.. Miss these dances. Thank you for sharing this.

We will never forget our Brave Hopi Traditionalist who refused to stop doing our Kachina dances and for this were punished by US government & sent to Alcatraz prison, some of you never made it back home - we honor you for making sure our Kachina dance ceremonies reached all the future generations.

My people Diné were brave conquers and adventurous people! We traveled tamed n conquered. So don’t hate I love my roots! Brave strong resilient people who continue to weather the storm. Yet that being said I also have ancestral ties to the Hopi.

GRIZZLYbear8910 boi I am Navajo I never hated any other tribe.But I know other tribes have hated navajos for no reason because something that happened in the Past.How do you expect Navajos who lost there homes and forced out of the area their ancestors were buried at to like the Hopi tribe.It was the Hopi government that conspired with the Whites to relocate navajos.As if only hopis lived in the Southwest other tribes also lived in the Southwest longer than the hopis have do those tribe have the right to force the hopis out of the area.

One of the coolest video's on youtube thanks for the upload, much respect to the Hopi and Arizona Indian Tribes, im a Brit and my country is wet, I spent 4 months in Arizona camping, and going on my 5th month now, Surviving in the desert is very hard, much harder than in a wet climate that im from, I would give my right arm to learn 1-10th of what these guys know about desert survival, Incredible history With the Hopi and all American Tribes really.
