WTF Sig.. P365 XL More Issues.

Mine did the same thing when I first got it but it still run flawlessly but after the first day taking it to the range about 400 rounds the issue is gone I’m assuming the tolerances is just a little to tight they actually feel tighter than my 320x 5 go figure!

BTW, before doing anything when opening the case I took it apart, including removing FCU and cleaned, dried and then liberally lubed it. I swapped out the FCU's between my standard P365 and the XL and the interference issue was 95% gone. Makes me think maybe the FCU sits too high in the XL frame and has proper clearance in the other frame.???

Could be that manual activation has something to do with the second striker safety. Ask sig about it.

  • @jerrygolden832

I swapped out the FCU from my XL to my standard frame and the issue was almost not noticable. I put back in XL frame and after about 2K rackings of the slide over a couple of evenings the problem is barely noticeable. Not bad enough to complain about anyway. As stated previously, I'd field stripped including removing FCU and cleaned thoroughly and lubed w/ a high quality lubricant before doing anything. As for trigger, I dry fired approximately 3K times and it is getting close to acceptable for carry.

I just got back from first 100 rounds..zqi 123g..had issues returning to battery and barked fire like mad also had 1 hard primer strike but no discharge during a failure to return to battery. Perfecta 115 had one 1 issue with return to battery. Otherwise 115 worked great. Accuracy however was all over the board as if my sights are off. The trigger/rack slide issue is nothing more than a break in problem. Yes shouldn't be like that but it gets better with feeding it, just 100 rounds I just tested it almost has went away. Let me know if you've had battery return issues or feel like your sights are off.

I imagine that sig designed it to lock up a little on the initial pull of the trigger to combat the issue of primer drag from the original p365. On top of that, I’ve handled a few at different local gun shops now and the lock up is not as taxing on your finger muscles as this guy makes it seem. I’m actually more concerned about the slide release, it is VERY stiff (more so than the usual factory stiffness) on the ones that I’ve handled.

But I’m gonna start carrying a CGW CZ PCR for the winter at least. I love the way the XL feels in the grip and has a good enough trigger, and I’m accurate w it at 60’. But I just can’t trust it, even if I put 1000rds thru it. It’ll always be in the back of my head..

GOOD NEWS for you...try shooting it! I just picked up a 365xl a couple days ago. Brand new out of the box the trigger is shit! Exactly as you described. I was really pissed and wanted to send it back. But, I calmed down, racked it fast 100 times, dry-fired about 50 times and it smoothed out. It went from gritty to smooth and the break has a definite "thud." There is no reset...the reset is the wall. It has a slight rolling break and the grit has worked its way out, and yes, it does feel like something is catching when you try to reset by racking it by hand, (shoot it instead). And don't shoot this without cleaning off that horrible oil Sig puts on it, it actually has a sticky feel from attracting dust. Clean with a good CLP and run it a bit wet at first. I also, bought a 48 at the same time...of course Glock can be shot right out of the box. There is no question the 48 is the better built gun, but it's also a lot bigger. The trigger feels improved over the original 43m (no more phantom reset) , but hate the serrations. So, it's off to visit Johnny Glocks again. Or, I might simply dremmel the serrations down, shave down the dingus just a millimeter and leave it at that, I noticed on my Gen 5s with the smooth trigger, you barely feel the dingus on your finger. Whatever you do, when you buy a new gun and you're the first to ever touch it, give it time, rack it fast 100 times and play with the trigger, but before you get dejected, clean/lube, shoot it at least 100 times, then come back and let us know what you think.

You can eliminate about 90% of that gritty feeling by disassembling the gun and flushing the trigger mechanisms with oil. Work the parts a little to flush out the debris. Wipe off the excess thoroughly with a microfiber towel (HF ones work great). You just need to shoot the gun it will work out that issue you're having with the trigger and racking the slide.

I've got 950 trouble-free rounds through mine. I carry it every day. At no time do I ever function my gun the way you do in this video; testing the reset. Your worry about how the slide works while doing what you are doing is without merit. The gun fires and cycles perfectly every time. Unless you like to show a lot of people what the reset on the gun is like, you will have no issues with the gun. Also, you won't notice what the trigger is like when you shoot it because you will not pull the trigger that way. When you need to defend yourself, you won't even remember what the trigger felt like. Enjoy your firearm. It will serve you well.

I had issues with ftf, fte, and out of battery/lock ups. And this was the only firearm that had the resistance during cycling like that. It does the same thing when u fire it. Ur fingers still to the rear and the slide comes back, and has to overcome that resistance. It shouldn’t be there period. I get ur point, but what internally is causing it? What parts are getting worn from it? Time will tell, and it could be at the wrong time, no thanks.

Lately SIG has been disappointing the shit out of me. 320’s are going off in their own, 365’s are having major trigger issues, QC has been ass. I was not initially a Glock guy nor did I trust it very much at first. But after buying and carrying Glocks I have become a major fan. It is also one of the only guns I truly trust to carry Hot in my waist band. It’s hard trusting guns like sigs in your pants Hot and loaded never knowing if it’s going to go off on its own. The more I see these gun failures the further I get from SIG and the more in love I am with my Glocks. Only other brand I can also trust is the S&W guns for everyday carry.

If you tried the trigger at the gun store when you bought it and it’s that bad why did you buy it? Why not shoot it if you bought it? Call sig and see what they say, I’m sure that’s not normal.

Hello since this is the only pistol out of 100+ that I own that does this, it needs attention. It’s the same thing as the gun firing the last round in a mag and cycling, should not have this much resistance.

Yes! Keep shooting it. It will work itself out. Once upon a time, people were comfortable with a "break in period". It's still so today with high quality 1911s and such. Just keep working it and it'll be golden!

Click Bait. Nothings broken, nothings broken at all with this pistol. The only thing you found wrong with this gun was that the slide was hard to rack when you were holding the trigger down. The gun is a revolution and concealed carry. It’s not gonna work like the other pistols.

Yea there is something wrong w it, that’s why half the guys that have this pistol don’t have the issue. And why countless other YTbers have made videos after I made this one. But thanks for ur useless input.

  • @matthewdove3823
    @matthewdove38232 жыл бұрын

The problem is that’s a safety mechanism for your own safety Who pulls the trigger when wanting to rack the slide otherwise you would have a accidental discharge

Really..?? To check the fucking trigger reset, and guess what? Ur still holding the trigger when the slide comes back from being fired. So why the fuck would I want all that resistance there when EVERY other gun ive ever shot didn’t have it?? I’m trying to carry this gun, if it doesn’t give me confidence right away why would I waste ammo and time seeing if it breaks in? And what if it goes 1000rds fine? The old ones broke at 1-2k
