There was 4 other people in my theater. It was an amazing experience to have a theater that small watching something we all had mutual love for. I don't know if we'll be able to get something like that from adultswim in a major theater again, especially after the bomb scare it produced.

I still remember hearing stories in my town about how so many people apparently walked right out of the theater during this part, before it even started. Williams Street knew what they were doing with this. They wanted to get all those boomers and Karens who brought their 4 year olds to watch the "funny cartoon movie" out of the theater at the very start.

I think adult cartoons and animated movies should continue doing this from now on. cause these people don't bother to look at the age ratings for these things and assume that "since it's an animated cartoon/movie, then it must be for kids" then they're on their Facebook pages and sending out emails blaming the people and companies for the movie/show being inappropriate for children

Yep been there!, except mine was a Dead show in ‘89 and I locked mine in the trunk, of a 79 Buick with NO trunk latch to open it, so I had to pull the back seat off the clips and reach in to grab them, never put the seat back together as I got t-boned 7months later by a delivery truck

This movie marks the end of the golden age of Cartoon Network with the bomb scare and Jim Samples resigning. I think this song perfectly represents that.

I was overseas when it came out, and bought the DVD in a Hong Kong street market. When they started out speaking backwards I figured it was some kind of janky bootleg dub, but nope, just aqua teen being aqua teen. Buddy of mine got a copy of fantastic 4 that was in 3 or 4 different languages. Shit was hilarious

Way back in college i took this schedule padding class. It was like literature and cinema analysis or some shit like that. There were some really cool discussions, the professor was a really cool cat. Anyway one day we had a discussion on best introductions to great movies. The prof got alot of basic answers about classic movies. I piped up that the ATHF movie had a fantastic intro. Having never heard of it he pulled it up on the projector screen and I'm pretty sure this exact YT clip. The utter difference in reactions throughout the room was hilarious. The only other dude who recognized it is still one of my best friends. We started hanging out after that class period and still laugh about it to this day. And the Prof ended up binging ATHF for weeks afterwards and he would frequently bring up ATHF when we would discuss topics in the class. It sucks getting older but the classics still hit.

I can't believe this was in theaters. It was the best movie experience I'd ever had. Like other people mentioned, people would be walking out at various points. Clueless people each deciding at some point that this was a mistake, while people that actually knew what to expect were dying of laughter. It was surreal.

When I saw it in theaters it was just our group there to watch it. Literally just the half dozen of us there. We all knew what we were in for. And this was like, the week after it came out. We laughed so hard we missdd half the movie. A few of us went back to watch it again a couple days later to catch all the jokes we missed!

I saw this with friends the weekend it came out. One of them described as "Feeling unbeliveably high without taking any drugs". Still the best description of this film I've ever heard.

They only played this movie in 800 theaters when it first came out, and one of them were near me. :(

So this is where the Bonds Beyond Time Abridged movie intro got it's inspiration and music lol

I saw this movie soon after it came out with a couple friends/fans of the show and this part collapsed the theater with laughter.

This randomly popped into my head after not seeing it for 10+ years. I have now watched it 10+ times in a row.

the athf movie was a part of allnighter show, so the audience thought they'd been ready for all kind madness. But when the green dude beat down the other guy and the music shifted, the hall burst out shouting, wreaking havoc.

Dude this movie was funny as hell! I honestly didn't expect this intro! The whole audience was laughing there asses off and I can barely eat or drink anything because there's a lot unexpected crap going on, BUT DAM ALL OF US HAD A GREAT TIME!!

SSJ Carl I saw this in theater with friends when it came out, we were all dying in theater! I downloaded it right after the movie! Off kazaa or lime wire probably lol

SSJ Carl For me witnessing this opening in the theater was THE moment of enligtenment. Satori, as the japanese say... I became a fully realized being from this point on & nothing will ever effect me as profoundly as the satirical genius of this song & its perfect delivery.

Doctor: "Well it appears the infection originated from this bite mark on your torso. May I ask how it happened, and where it came from?" Me: "I opened a bag of chips, without considering others."
