WTF Happened to RENEE ZELLWEGER!

Фильм және анимация

In our latest episode of WTF Happened To... we take a look at the career of the multi-talented actress Renee Zellweger, who won our hearts (and had us at hello) with Jerry Maguire, took the romcom genre by storm with the Bridget Jones Diary franchise, danced her way to the top with Chicago, brought the laughs with Jim Carrey in Me, Myself & Irene and took home the gold for her supporting role in Cold Mountain.
But then, Zellweger seemingly disappeared and was gone for years before re-emerging on the scene out of nowhere, prompting everyone to wonder what had happened to the shooting star. The answer may (or may not) surprise you, but we take a look at where she was and where she's going.
Now, Zellweger is back on the big (and small) screen with a starring role in Judy, playing the legendary actress Judy Garland and fronting the Netflix series What/If, showing that you can't keep a great actress down.

I agree, but they would make fun of her. She is unrecognizable nowadays and it’s a shame. The way she looked, being different is what set her apart.

I have the same kind of eyes as her. I had always felt weird and different and because Renne Zellweger was beautiful, admired it gave me some self acceptance but I see why she felt she wanted to change given that one would feel different and she probably got a little bit of taunting as a child. ( lol we’re even more victims than red heads) Like Renee I got those eyes from a German father whose ancestry is on the Baltic coast. About 6% of Europeans have them. Genetic markers supposedly suggest that they come in via the Sammi people of Finland and Sweden from Inuit like races from around Siberia who migrated over the arctic circle in warmer times. If you’ve got them don’t worry about it. I’ve been to towns in Europe where most people are like this and it is very normalising. Once you’ve seen that you’re not a freak you don’t need it anymore. Be glad that you are more resistant to snow blindness.

Actually she changed her look very much when she showed up on that red carpet but than changed again somehow to look more like her old self. And she does. Honestly she looks good. Her body is smoking and in WHAT/IF she looks great. Renee is brilliant actress and we love her.

Archduke of Belgrade At that red carpet, she had fillers. She probably chose not to continue them after they dissolved and that’s why she looks like herself again. Her eyelids are different as well. Her kids were very hooded and that gets worse with age and effects your vision so that probably wasn’t cosmetic. But of course, she is still aging so they are becoming hooded again like before so she is looking more like her younger self in that area too.

@Jay Cee exactly - what made Rene unique was her hooded eyelids - gave her that sleepy cute look. The new eyes look like anyone from down the street - unmemorable. If someone changes their eyes (like at all) they don’t look like themselves. I think Mathew McConaughey has his eyes done too - they look older because it’s not what we’re used to seeing.

She's mad talented. My favorite performance of hers was in Cold Mountain. I haven't seen Judy yet but am planning to. Pretending to be other people all the time and working in Hollyweird would take its toll on even the most grounded people but actors tend to be a bit nuts to start out with. I think her portrayal of 'Roxie Hart' in 'Chicago' is one of her finest performances and another role showcasing her vocals and stage presence is exactly what she needs! She looks amazing !!! Leave her alone ! She lost a lot of weight. She played The great Judy garland who starved her self. PEOPLE Theirs too much JUDGING, take a look at yourself. No ones perfect!!! Instead of writing Negative comments go help someone, serve soup in a soup kitchen.... You will look at people differently. You must remember tv only portrays women in a gorgeous light. It's not Realistic..we all have hidden problems. If she would of been smiling on this pic it would of portrayed her differently But instead they pick a bad pic...these people are so ugly to do this.

She had a natural beautiful unique look. She doesn’t have that anymore with the plastic surgery. She wouldn’t have become a star if she looked the way she does now. I’m not saying she isn’t talented, but people will always compare her to how she looked since she was doing so well. Why tf did she get plastic surgery

Hollywood pressure on women for aging. Even Meghan Fox of all people has gotten backlash now for being in her 30s. Its so effed up and not real life, I don't know how people handle being in that industry.

Meghan Fox is kind of an odd case because she had an abusive husband who pushed her into it in her 20s. But the pressure of the industry certainly factored in even there.

Scrolling thru these comments... it's hard to believe people can be so cruel.. I love Rene.. & accept her choices. You people bad mouthing her should look half as good as her at her age. And have the talent & creativity she has. Instead of all the hate remarks.. start feeling some Self-Love... & project that out to others. Sending Love to All of Us.. we're all connected & what we express about others is just a reflection of ourself projecting out. Peace & Love 💖 💖 💖
