Yesterday we did a raid in customs, and it felt like an offline raid with scavs set on horde and tag and cursed. It sounded like WWIII around us and we couldn't even stop to heal without more scavs showing up. It was so odd

For me Lighthouse rogue feel extra beamy. If you kill any of them the ones nearby will hunt you down and chase you even long distances. Some have wandered all the way to the grocerie store in the village in the middle of the map. They just come for you if you kill them from range

It’s great gearing up big time to get 1 tapped by a scav you can’t see through a bush or a group of trees. This has happened more to me this wipe than even before - by a MILE.

This is so crazy, if they are supposed to be hilbillys picking up left behind guns etc. How the F do they one tap me thru bushes. Like me, a trained soldier cannot see a damn thing behind it, yet consistently head, eye people.

I don't think they adjusted scavs aim for the armor change and it seems they have a tendency to target your unarmored points which is now the chest most of the time with the recent change.

My very first time playing Tarkov was over the weekend, loaded in as a scav and took 2 steps before being shot in the back of the head by another player scav. So even though I have no real basis, I’m gonna have to agree with you 😂

I feel like Scavs have impossible vision sometimes, seeing me from insane distances or through things that mo normal player could see theough. They also seem to have this wonderful ability to black out any limb with one shot from a Makarov pistol

ATM they cannot see flashlights that are on them, they also have less capability to see at night time than you do.

I know for a fact that if you shoot a scav anywhere but the head, with the armor changes, they tank WAY more shots then before, i dont know about them being more difficult tho I feel the scavs have some sort of randomness when they spawn in to which scavs are difficult AF and which scavs are legit just sitting shooting cans EDIT: someone in the comments also pointed out new recoil changes buffed ai, and i didnt even think of it that way but yes that also probably hella buffed AI precision, very lowkey HUGE change to the new recoil not many noticed or made vids ab it seems

Yep, there is actually several difficulty levels of scavs. Scavs with higher difficulty has not only better AI but also better gear.

They literally laser beamed a specific body part of yours across say the treatment plant.. that is 0 recoil, sorry. And it is indeed still just like it was. if anything, just their behavior has differed.

Had a scav sitting above the concrete ramp in the underground parking lot on interchange. Me and my buddy walked up the ramp and both got head eyes’d by him without even time to react. I thought it was killa at first because of how fast we died 😂💀

They feel like last wipe, where they did get buffed, but now more tanky it seems, giving them more time for that head shot they pull of at any range after a few shots

Yes, 1000x yes. Raiders are especially impossible to kill and insta kill you no matter how hard you try to cheese them. Absolutely crazy that BSG shadow buffs scavs for the 10th time and doesn’t acknowledge it or recognize it as a problem.

Man i feel ya on this big time. I was just 1 tap dead all weekend. Out of the 15 - 20 raids i did. i survived maybe 3 or 4 of them. Definitely one of the worst welcome to tarkov streaks ive had in a long time. .....got to work this morning and was asked how my weekend was and all i could say was Tarkov stole my soul. My co worker had no idea wtf tarkov is but said could see the hurt in my eyes. Lol

Been playing this game for years have thousands of hours in the game just had a rough streak last weekend with lots of instant death. Doubt there is a single player that hasn't experienced that.

Both my friend and I this wipe died head neck from a toz scav on woods from 40+ meters. Worst part was my friend still needed 3 salewas and we had all 3 from med camp that run, truly one of the most demoralizing moments.

TOZ snipers have been a thing since first wipe. Be aware of those dudes at any cost!

I died right along with Jesse to that random nade at the end 8:24 😂

maybe it's that I only raid night time exclusively but the AI at night seems a lot easier to deal with.

I've had scavs kill me before I can even react sometimes. I could be mid-jump or something and they would just nail me before I could get my gun up. I've also notice they freak out if you aim at their head. Some even are bobbing shots which is really annoying. (You will aim at them and they'll turn or move everytime you acquire their heads.)

This is what's most annoying to me aim in at the back of their head right as you go to take the shot they crouch spin 180 and 1 tap you before you even have time for a second shot

@@trevorjudd4430 That's because it is a built in feature for all the AI in the game, it's been discovered in game files that were harvested by people who mod SPT (Single Player Tarkov). Long story short, there is a function in the AI's code quite literally called "IsEnemyLookingAtMe" that activates the AI and gives them your position if a raycast from your muzzle hits their body. The AI quite literally has built in ESP.

I was just telling myself I havent seen a "If youre getting Tarkov'd, watch this video" from Jesse this wipe, I could really use one after falling from a 82% surv rate to a 51%. To have others to share in your pain, makes it sting a little bit less. Keep up the great content, it makes us all feel a little bit better !

I feel this so much recently. I have attempted colleagues part 1 so many times and every time I leave or enter pier a random scav spawns and one taps me

They seem so fast to spot you then start hitting you sometimes theres just no delay

I feel like this is my first wipe where scavs have been leading there shots, i used to feel safe sprinting when being shot at but now i'm getting doinked on the move

Im not sure if i am going crazy, but i can't hear any food steps. There is only one step when they enter hearing perimeter, which is super loud, and after that i don't hear a single step or sound.

Scavs have been insane, shoreline and lighthouse have been insane, everything else feels incredible. I started playing end of last wipe, and I’ve gotta say, despite the issues, I’ve been loving the gameplay. Thanks for the content Jesse!

They're also getting brutal with grenades. It used to only be the boss escorts that they used grenades so well but now they're lobbing out painfully accurate grenades.

A scav with a shotgun is a death sentence. Every single time it’s a headshot with the first buckshot.

First customs run of the day. Running past RUAF road block Scav with Makarov is all the way towards the hole in the wall leading to skeleton. I get magically shot in the ear, this is through like 4 bushes. Thanks BSG. I get shot in the head

Shoreline has been so insane these past few days was stuck on the shoreline tasks for 2 days finally got off them

Yeah it seems all over the place, was playing today and one walked right up to me while I was in a bush and was looking at me but didn't shoot

noticed this day 1 of wipe, now I always use a faceshield and it has saved my life constantly

Ha, i had a similar interaction with a flash in interchange: Guy perfectly flashes me, I'm completely blind, and he says 'Just get away from me man!' 'BROTHER, I CANNOT SEE WHERE AWAY IS'. He laughed, I laughed, he killed me.

I experienced the most ridiculous scav death ever... I spawned at crack house in custom, ran to the top floor into the meds room and got one tapped by a scav from the fortress into the eyes through the window while walking through the room... The scav was using a VPO ... This raid lasted 50 seconds

Scavs have been absolutely bodying me recently, glad im not the only one who feels immense anger when one tapped by these OP scavs

AI going John Wick is a regular occurance every wipe.

i have been 1 taped by so many AI scavs lately, im glad to see its not just me. Even with a lvl 5 armor lvl 4 helmet, 1 tapped by a TT pistol scav or 2 tapped by slug scavs in chest.

I noticed toward the beginning of the wipe every few raids one of us would seem to be randomly marked. AI scavs would just relentlessly spawn and hunt one member of our team. It was to a ridiculous degree where the scavs would literally ignore the rest of our team and proceed to go to the marked player. This seemed to teeter off but man you could barely pack a mag before two more came to fight you.

When I hear a scav mumbling in the distance I am more frightened than facing a pmc now

Yesterday, i was on the big hill with the dead tree on lighthouse and got instagibed by a scav from the street below. >100m visible line. That was only the latest one.

Scav lore : We're poor people trying to survive with rubbish weapons and ammo, just trying to eat some old used food, we can barely aim with this weapons with low durability. Also BSG : You will chase pmcs down no matter what, you dont need food , you're gonna kill PMCs faster than usual average timmy and your weapon is never gonna jam or run out of ammo.

I was doing the quest where you have to shoot scavs on Woods with an iron sight and no armor... They are fast and accurate at range too... kinda wild...

im happy to see its not just me getting onetapped from across the map by slug scavs that are sitting in a tree. love to see it

I have been getting killed by what I can only assume are undercover assassins out for my PMC. I had full airframe with chops and FS + korund in a warehouse on customs, chasing down a PMC, only to get one tapped in the armpit by a scav through one of the tiny gaps in the water barrel stacks. I am now more scared of scavs than PMCS.

My new tarkov lesson learned today was... If you find a really nice item and put it in your secure container then call it a night after extracting. ALWAYS TAKE THE FIR ITEM OUT OF YOUR CONTAINER BEFORE LOGGING OFF. The next time you boot up the game you may forget that the million ruble key in your container is only worth 30k to therapist if you f'ing take it into raid without noticing!

Last night i was trying to do my no body armor quest on woods. got one tapped head/eyes by a scav tryjng to snipe from sawmill hill, to the vehicle extract. Didnt take a shot.

I'm over the snow, without snow camo, the foilage lod range makes ppl stand out like a sore thumb when they are moving against snowy background. You can get spotted so much easier right now

Third party nade's be like. Whenever I hear any gunshots, throw an M67 that direction and dare to dream

Yeah, 80% of all of my deaths are from cracked scavs and half of those deaths are through bushes lmao

i've died to insta-1tap scavs that give no verbal warning before they shoot from their dark bush in the corner of nowhere more times than i can count so far this wipe

I have been more head eyes first shot from 50 meters by scavs this wipe than I ever have before. That piled on top of the amount of players shooting my face first shot has lead me to an all time hi death count. Still further than I was in previous wipes, I've just tanked hours from dying. Most of the deaths from scavs had me thinking I got sniped by a player somewhere else, but nope it was a scav. I watched a tracer round leave the barrel of an AK straight into my eyes when I was sniping at 100 meters at scavs lol.

I actually just subbed, thank you for sharing your pain, it makes ours less miserable

Everytime there is a scav in stronghold on customs and decided to loot crack house at the beginning of the raid. I get shot by a scav using the mounted gun. It almost never misses and when it does you can barely hear that you are being shot at. But most of the time I instantly die. I’ve never had that issue before only time I’ve had this happen was from the goons or reshala and his guards

They have always been this cracked it’s just now when they thorax you you die in one hit because they all use flesh damage rounds and it missed your armor 😂

Today I went on a customs night raid and all the scavs were spotting me from 50+ meters away for no reason.

5k hours into this game, this is by far the hardest scavs have felt, even with the wipe where they had scavs CRACKED. Ive been 1 tapped by scavs a good 15-20 times this wipe. It's to a point it is a meme in my group that I run with. I am always the one that dies.

The snow would be good for 2 weeks tops and then we need at least 2 months break before another 2 weeks of snow

The amount of times I've been one tapped by a scav and m7 armor was perfectly fine is astounding.

I have been 1 tapped by more scavs this wipe than players by FAR. And they always seem to Head, eyes me and miss my helmets completely.

i've been loving the ai. Scavs have been an actual threat and not just to my group but other ppl you fight might actually just die to them to. it's pretty funny.

Bro I was in 3 story dorms top floor. I get head eyes from a scav in 2 story nowhere near windows. Same scav pushes across to our building and 1 taps my buddy…. I don’t even know anymore lol

Tbf, the scav shooting you from scav house shouted his aggro voice line and you didn't react to it at all - you were too busy talking about the guys moving in the trees to the left. He shouts at 1:06 and then killed you at 1:20. If you're going to give a scav 14 seconds of clear, uninterrupted view of you, they will always kill you. That one was kinda on you.

Ive seen it on customs and factory. Killing a scav will spawn more scavs in that area and theyll run to gun shots. Its like they multiply

ive played for 6 wipes and normally have like a 45-55% surv rate. this wipe im sitting around 38-42 partially from having to learn the new map but mostly because ive been 1 shot by scavs like 20x in 150 raids

Has a bug, sometimes we die with a single shot to the chest from a shotgun or .366 FMJ, I already died with Corund, TV-110 just because the game doesn't recognize the armor plates, after dying my friends go to my body and my armor has the inserts with damage but the plates are intact and there is no damage, we tested in practice mode and then the armor works almost as it should, but in normal mode the game lot off times not recognize the armor plates, and with 1,2 shots in the torax with ammo with no penetration we die.

The ‘HHHWWHHHAAAAATTT’ is the definition of my experience

so my raid was going so well on shoreline and i got one tapped from a scav that was giving me his back, from like 200 meters, he didnt even turn around, he shot 1 single 9x18 ammo without looking at me, i was behind a tree, hardly visible and it got my ear, insta dead, i had one of those black cool helmets too

Do you think it’s because of the armor rework and scavs are getting lucky shots with same AI or is it something else like the AI scav squads holding more angles at once?

I thought it was the AI being turned up compounding with the Armor hitbox changes. Like shots that scavs were programmed to fire are now killshots when they werent before.

It’s weird I didn’t have any problems with scavs for the entire first week but like a flip of a switch it seems I’m getting 1 tapped more often now, no scav yell or miss before it’s just first shot to neck or head, got 1 tapped yesterday on shoreline from a scav far as fuck away to my armpit, so far he didn’t even look like a player just a blob in the distance

I died so many times to scavs this wipe, getting assaulted by 3 scavs and getting absolutely demolished. Last wipe farming rogues was doable, this wipe the second they open the door they already hitted you 5 times in the chest. And im stuck with 2 missions in those buildings.

Best scavs are the ones that spawn right next to you make no noise or line and insta pops head eyes... happens a few times to me and a collegue..

Love the changes, they also spawn more frequently, now that bullets are dangerous we can't just stand out in the open and try to out shoot scavs anymore just as we wouldn't with a pmc or player scav, I've been one tapped by scav many times doing something dumb, maybe it could be 5% easier and maybe more blind at night, but it's getting pretty close to where i want them.
