there was 3 flags in that play 1. 68 walked over but didn’t report as an eligible player. 2.68 was covered by a receiver witch also marked him eneligible. 3. 70 reported as eligible to receive the back then lined up as a lineman which made the play illegal. The cowboys had the same call called on them the first game vs the eagles

​@carloscallins7846 what happened is the lions were trying to pull a fast one on the cowboys. They were having 70 look like he reported, then 68 was supposed to. But 68 went up and it was his fault that he didn't talk loud enough. It's on the players to make sure they're heard by the refs.

In case no one has already explained illegal formation, you have to have 7 players on the line of scrimmage. The Lions had only six. The 5 O linemen and whichever player reported himself eligible. Notice that both receivers and the TE are lined up off the ball which constitutes an illegal formation. Which should’ve been the obvious call

Lamb is better than Chase for 4 reasons. 1) the best ability is availability. Chase is always hurt. 2) Chase has 1 outstanding season and the rest are mediocre. 3) Lamb does more on the field. He plays all the WR positions at an All-Pro level, and he even plays snaps at RB. 4) Lamb is dynamic after the catch. Lamb is tied for 2nd in yac with 630yds. I think only Hill has more and it's less than 100yds more. I think Lamb is the best all around WR because of what I just said above but I realize that both Hill and Jefferson are slightly better. But Lamb is coming for that #1 spot soon.

No it was an illegal formation he needed to be a yard back from where he was. In all honesty the lions where doing too much they had #70 reporting as eligible the whole game than at the end wanted #68 to report as eligible except 3 people went to the ref saying who knows what abd got mad at the refs confusing.

What really happened was they said #68 Taylor decker didn’t report. He’s an 8 year Vet I doubt he didn’t report. Video shows he walked over and talked to the refs. #70 was no where in sight. Refs said #70 reported eligible and not decker. Very unfortunate miscommunication.

NFL rules state that when a lineman reports as eligible to a referee, he must raise one hand in the air and rub the front of his jersey with the other. #68 did not do this, but #70 did as he was running in.

No they did Not! The refs clearly announced number 70 as eligible. If that was the wrong number why didn't the lions correct him before the snap? They were trying to get away with something and got caught.
