I've loved Korn over the years, and let's see where the next record goes. At 30 years, let's see how heavy it gets.

Brian and Fieldy's first band he talked about was Ragtyme, they were a Glam/Hard Rock band from Bakersfield and I believe that was in 1987 when they were still in High School.

It's great to see Brian give acknowledgement to Fieldy's contributions in writing rather than the usual downplaying the relevance of the dude who isn't in the band at the moment that some of the other members have done over the years.

Probably because it's a slower song for the most part. It doesn't have that same sort of energy that a song like Blind or Ball Tongue has.

I love and miss Fieldy, but I have to be honest I actually really like Ra Diaz a lot too. If Fieldy doesn't want to return to the band then they should get Ra Diaz to write & record bass tracks for KoRn (2024). I saw this video promoting the tour with Gojira and the lady said the new KoRn album will be released on October 11th 2024. Which would be exactly around 30 years after their 94 album.

@@Norg1 According to a recent interview with Ra he said he "helps them with things in the studio" but he hasn't been recording with them...I wouldn't mind if Ra wrote and recorded bass parts, the guy studied Jazz Bass for 5 years at a music school in Chile. I have a feeling like Fieldy will record with them again just like with Requiem.

If you want to be technical about it they are the pioneers of nu-metal... As much as Jonathan doesn't like it them to be called, but he's getting used to that genre of what they go by as.

@@jdmatthews7639 Oh right, they definitely pioneered that genre, but that also doesn't mean they should be tagged as a Nu Metal band their whole career. Bands evolve over time and KoRn very much outlived that genre.

@@zachsimpson2895 if you listen to their first two albums and listen to Requiem, you want to tell me that they are still metal? They are just Sevendust now. An occasional cool guitar riff, but that's it. super melodic chorus's, every song has the same structure. Just boring now. They just sound like a band trying to be Korn. But if you still enjoy them, that's great! I'm jealous of that lol. I just think they've lost it and should hang up the guitars
