27 years ago, I had a friend who gave me 2 tickets to a concert at First Avenue here in Mpls, and the bill was House of Pain, Biohazard, and this band with a funny name Korn. I wasn't a fan of any of the acts, and I had never heard of Korn, but it was a show and free. Me and my girlfriend at the time made jokes all week leading up to the show about this bands name, Korn. The day of the show, we came to a packed house. Lights went down, and I see these 4 guys walk onto the stage, the drummer hitting the ride cymbal. Next came a bass line that was intriguing. Then the guitars, and it was a sound i had never heard from a guitar, let alone a 7 string (we were right up front). Then, this skinny dreadlocked guy comes out, sporting a bright purple ADIDAS outfit. And then, 3 words were screamed with intensity that changed my life forever. The band kicked into Blind, and i was hooked instantly! The show absolutely blew me away. Every somg was a monster adrenaline run! 27 years later, I own all of their albums, 18 live shows, I was able to meet them, multiple posters, shirts. Korn is just as relative today as they were 27 years ago. No matter what they release, I will support, either as a band or solo projects (except Fieldys Dream, every fan has their limits). To say Korn is my favorite band is a massive understatement. And this year, they WILL be on that Hall of Fame ballot, and WILL be inducted! To Jonathan Davis, Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu, Brian "Head" Welch, James "Munky" Shaffer, David Silveria, and Ray Luzier, THANK YOU for creating the kick ass music you have for the past 27 years!! Here's to another 27!!!

Watching Jonathan talk makes me cry, feel and feel close to him I'd love to sit and tell him my story hug and cry with him. I wish the innocent weren't hurt and abused its makes life non appealing and not worth living I wonder sometimes what it would've been like to have a normal life. Thank you guys for existing and being the way you are! Btw, I`m 29 and I have been listening to KoRn since I was 11. I know its not "wooooow", but stil man, thats a lot of years, I know that many people out there will dig the emotion, each in their own way, but cool nonetheless, right? I swear I can remember being in high school and buying "Untouchables" when it came out, I don't even think I purposely went to buy it, I had seen them play a few times with tours and they were fucking awesome live but i never was hooked on Korn .... bought untouchables somewhere, popped it in driving home and to this day it's probably the only album that Just blew me away almost instantly...( albums usually have to grow on you even the best ones). Untouchables was like each song just got better and better but I couldn't skip ahead because I was so into the song I was stil listening too but I knew the next song was probably better.... Like 20 years later I find out that what actually went into recording that and how much money it was and they purposely were trying to make the best hard rock album ever recorded, litterally inventing new tech .........37 year old me "I FUCKIN KNEW IT! I would have NEVER EVER imagined Lestat to EVER sound like KoRn. As much as I love KoRn it's just not the right sound.

I agree that album was really looked down on. The sound change was crazy. Everyone hated it but I enjoyed the fuck out that album. Same with Korn 111 that album felt so much like there first album.
