Writing Counterpoint In 5 Steps • Music Theory For Production & Songwriting
In this video, I have adapted counterpoint writing theory to fit modern music production and songwriting techniques. I show this in Ableton Live 11 using multi-clip editing, whilst creating bass, synth and vocal melody lines.

I really enjoyed this one - I love the more music theory oriented ones. A lot of your videos are about how to operate Ableton, and that's great, but this is more core than that, more important: how to write music.

12:38 This tend to the case with vocals for some reason. You can break the rules and still have it sound great.
Watch out for parallel octaves, they can break your flow because they sound so striking
