I put Tweels on my 36' Scag V Ride 2 and I will never not have Tweels again. I love them. They are great on slopes; I mow inner city and no longer worry about running over a broken crack pipe. Honestly, its one of the best purchases I've made.

Interesting all around: BUT your costings, .... How do you get so many punctures ? I am expecting 2000hrs from my tyres - they run on the grass after all and even on bare soil, the wear is minimal. More likely to perish from old age. However, from a RISK POV, then I would probably go with the tweels - or could they simply BREAK UP - what about plastic fatigue ? thnx for posting

I run very low pressure, 8 to 10 psi, on fixed deck Standers, which is great for traction, ground pressure, and ride, but can result in the tire being unseated from the rim occasionally, which is worse than a simple flat. I carry mounted spares and a lever jack, which minimizes down time at a fraction of the cost of tweels. Also, heavy duty tire sealant to prevent flats from roofing nails, etc. Maybe Wright could offer a spare tire option package on new mowers.

I've had air tires for 1500 hours on 1 mower and 800 hrs on another and have never had 15 flats or air leaks in 200 hrs. I've had to replace air tires because of tread wear but not because of flats, I reckon tweels would be great for guys who don't run their machines.

Have a major concern when it comes to these. First I have a stander X 52” deck The tire size is a 20”x10” x 8” rim The tweel doesn’t come in a 20” Was told to use an 18” tweel . Several problems with that . The tweel only 8.5 “ so it more weight to the ground , but the biggest problem is the deck height I just lost 2 “ from deck height . I’ve already lost an inch in deck height some how. So that puts my deck height at max 2 -1/2”and that sucks. Will the 22”x11” tweel work

Good video, I really appreciate the business advice, the mindset about business is very important. I just bought tweels because I mow by roads and keep getting flat tires, I have lost a few hours due to flats and I'm putting a stop to that. I could just push through it but like you said that lost time really equates to lost money even in taking time to patch a tire on or off the job. Thanks for taking the time to talk to us about it!

I recently retired a 22 year old Exmark with well over 4000 hours on it. Rear tires were changed once at a cost of less than 132.00 delivered for the pair. The wheels themselves are good for the life of the mower. To say that someone is going to beat you up buying a used mower with worn out air tires with your cost of 250.00 vs wore out tweel tires which cost 1500 to replace and saying they will actually add value is nonsense. 500 hours for the life of an air tire is laughable. Perhaps 3000 hours is too?

Tires average about 4 down days per machine per tire, if you do the math on it 4 tires x4 days at a conservative estimate of $400 lost revenue per day that's $1600 in lost revenue. So you just lost $100 but gained the privilege of being the person to haul the tire in to be serviced. Tweets are a no brainer here guys.

not fair. the air tires are way over inflated at 13 psi. I run 6 to 8 psi on my 72" mowers. Tweels are NOT ADJUSTABLE so if i cut 200 pounds off my mower by ditching the ridiculously heavy suspension seat and taking out other unnecessary weight then the Tweel would not be able to compensate. Suspension should be at the first point of conflict with the anomoly wich is the tire/bump convergence. The second instance of suspension is Biomechanics in that the feet should be pressed firmly on DUAL deck lift arms for bilateral support and compression of the operator's back into the seat back WHILE the operator body is in a position similar to a zero gravity chair. then you will not likely experience back pain and have full and immediate control in every direction including up/down as The Fight or flight reflex sends signals to the legs first. Also if you track individual equipment on a fleet you would find less need for stick men as you can float the deck and eliminate a lot of string trimming.
