We received our 4 ZXTs yesterday, put them into immediate service and LOVE THEM so far. It's the Ferrari of mowers. You can easily cut thick grass at full speed with no stringers.

Ed, great job on the review of the ZXT. Most thorough walk around of any NEW mower release so far this year. Love the Oil Guard on our FERRIS Z3X. Nice to see it on the other brands as it will help cut down on maintenance for us. Great video. Thanks for sharing. 👍

To anybody that is considering a Wright Mower but knows nothing about them: I have a 2013 Wright Z 61" with 1559 hours on it and I have yet to replace anything metal on it. Just belts and tires only. Everything I would change on mine has been changed with this new model. Wright Mowers listens to their customers. I own three Wright Mowers.

That looks so compact for a 72 sit down mower. Very nice machine and it's gonna make competition tougher. If I have a use for it definitely will get one. My Wright 32 stander is all I need.🙂👍

I have been talking about this one a lot. The power is impressive, the wet brake, suspension, pumps and wheel motors instead of transmissions. you just need second deck lift for left leg like I weld on all my mowers as can be seen on my channel and looks like it could be done on this one. If I was building a mower this is dang close to what I would build. I have always liked the brevity of your mower decks and believe it is beneficial to keep the machine short. I would like to see a manufacture fix the position of the operator to maintain weight bias and instead make the deck lifts adjustable. Ray Ray's lawn/landscape needed this mower because he needed the high power on a 52" therefore ended up with a scag and its not working out. you should demo one to him so I can see how it works

Thanks. You might notice we tweaked the deck. Now has a flat back and smaller flow dividers where the rear baffles meet each other.

very impressive. you have been busy. now I'm torn between a new 52in stander in the spring or 1 of these . might have to tweak my money and get both .

The. ZXT looks to be a solid and well thought out machine. Im currently waiting to demo this machine and really looking forward to it. Glad to see a company FINALLY taking operator comfort seriously and offering not just a suspension seat but ALSO a quality suspension platform as well. Both are highly needed unless you go with a suspension seat that offers a lot more suspension travel. To me there are just a couple items easily tweaked that would make this machine even better. -A HIGH back suspension seat. Adds hardly any addition cost and offers way more back support. Landscapers are working there backs hard all the time, anything that can offer better back support is really important. -the deck lift foot tab is incredibly difficult to push. Not sure if the one I tried really needed to be greased from sitting outside but it killed your foot to lift the deck. To me the foot tab needs to be more substantial where it spreads the weight on more of your foot instead of one small area. Not the end of the world, but when your constantly lifting the deck, especially if you need to float the deck, you should be able to do it without hurting your foot and your leg getting tired. It shouldn’t feel like a leg press. -lastly, the storage compartments are nice but what would really be nice is storage compartment with lids on them to keep items free of dust snd grass that always gets kicked up.

Man, this would be the perfect mower for me If I could back up to the woods line and dump a load of leaves from the seat. I have owned a Grasshopper Frontmount mower that does that very thing. I have Lots to mow and even more to collect. If you promised that the Dump Hopper for yard debris would fit this, I would buy this!

Thanks for the video, Ed. I saw a 61” ZXT in person at my local dealership yesterday and I was very impressed just looking it over and from sitting in the seat. I want the 72” version so the dealer is trying to locate one or find out when they’ll get one. I hope they find one soon!!

purchased a fleet of these for the 2021 season not impressed at all only thing this mower has going for it is ground speed and operator comfort the seat is honestly amazing and being able to charge my phone is great ! but thats it my old dixie chopper excalibers and my 5500 hour husqvarna pz 60s cut circles around my zxts its honestly upsets me considering the price tag on a 3 mower fleet order i payed i hate the eletric throttle body control cause if it goes down in the field your not moving it and the 40 hp vangaurd runs so hot here in south florida im waiting for it to blow a headgasket honestly the heat from the engines hot enought to feel threw the seat while operating it make sure you are spraying the seat shock adjustment knob every day with oil based lubricant or it will lock up on you so bad channel lock wont move it not to mention the third day out on the field my number 3 mower wiring harness went bad and they had to rewire the whole machine it was down for 3 weeks the drive belt for the pumps is about a inch away from the ground you can not mow wet ditches with the mower any type of water cause belt slip and the mower will stop driving in 3 inches of water and then you have to pull it out with a chain on solid ground (what a joke !) wet grass conditions cause so much bulid up under the deck that you have to shut the blade off after every pass in fields to clear the deck i think the blade speed is to high honestly not wright fault but zxt number 2 had to have the vangaurd replaced at 700 hours because of a pushrod failing the deck rollers and the deck are made of soda can metal and if you even touch somthing going faster then 3 mph the whole deck is bending its very weak on the shoot discharge side deck baffles are bolted in with 10mm chinese blots that snap off if you mulch anything bigger then a palm branch already lost the baffles on my 72 and had to have them replaced they randomly sheer the middle blade bolt off and drop the blade in the middle of the field had this happen 10 or more times so many times that now i keep a bag of wright blade bolts in the truck at all times what a joke i will never purchase another wright mower

@@2020Tundra they did several times because i was one of the first companys in west palm beach to order a fleet from them in april of 2021 they gave me the run around on everything they hated having to warranty these machines they couldnt belive the wiring harness went bad on my third mower it was a clown show getting them to send the harness and when they did they overnighted it at least vangaurd sent me a new engine for my second mower no questioned ask not my fault they cant handle south florida 10 hour days of non stop mowing iv got 26 schools and about 11 miles of county road contracts and these mowers cant handle the heat and they have been relocated to mowing my nice flat bermuda blade grass fields and if its wet grass you have to mow 3 passes with sharp blades i get payed to mow the grass one time not 3 times ! my dealer of 15 yrs and me are now not on speaking terms because of these mowers by his word they were the best on the market should have just bought new husqvarnas but now im stuck with these things for at least 2 more yrs

@@chaseinit1 Sorry to hear about all the trouble you’ve had… that really sucks! I’ve been trying to do as much research as I can on the ZXT and your experience seems to be an anomaly. I’ve seen where one or two landscapers have had a couple minor issues, but probably none of them cut as much grass as you do in really hot weather? I live in South Carolina and it gets incredibly hot and humid here during the summer months and we often go long periods of time with no rain. While I don’t cut near as much grass as you, the weather conditions are fairly equal to yours. My current mower has the same 993cc Vanguard engine, but it’s not the EFI version, and it has performed very well when the temps are high 90’s to over 100. But it’s not a Wright either. I hope you’ll be able to endure until you can afford to replace them.

@@2020Tundra for the kind of work i do they cant handle it for sure not to say they wont be good mowers for you like i said they are one of the most smooth driving mowers iv ever ran the seat is wonderful ! ground speed is also great they cut dry grass quick and dont leave any runners standing but that ends as soon as you encounter any type of wet grass but every morning i still pull the old 2014 dixie choper excaliber twin 5474 off the trailer and let my long time guys run the new mowers the excaliber twin motor is kinda in a league of its own though so i kinda understand why the wright cant keep up sadly dixie chopper is no longer the same company

Talk about a well thought out machine, If the price is right, they will sell a ton of these mowers.

I love this zero turn mover then my scag cheaata 52 inch deck

Nice! I'd like to have that in a 60". I got a Cub Cadet ZT2 and these transmissions are driven me crazy but the commercial mowers cost so much....

If you guys come out with a GHS mower similar to the walker it would be game over for your competitors.

Can you explain the difference in the hydro cooling on the stander I vs x since the I has a hydro cooling rad but the x doesn’t.

Also new mower is awesome

I currently have a scag cheetah with the 37h vanguard. And have not been impressed after 50hrs. I might need to give this mower a shot at my business

Best upgrades are the 500 hr oil change and filter and the hydros intervals in changeing was hoping for a 48 in deck but maybe later down the line

What about a clamshell bagger? For those of us thst do a lot of leaves or collection, my grasshopper manual dump is so easy to collect, go to curb dump and suck up with debris loader. No getti g out of seat to dump.

Wright always pulls through, I'm on an 18' zk 37 61 & next in my fleet w/b this to top off the 3.5acre + accts. for the 2nd 61".only thing I've noticed (east central florida 💦🌧️🌧️💦💯💯💯💯) is aero core deck doesn't like anything above "Damp" grass. Is a mulch kit a definite and primary fix ? Anyone Else??

No, its a 3 bagger for now. Not to say we might add a dfs option if that's popular demand.

Mr Wright, for the 61 deck ZXT, with the bagging system attached to the mower, will it fit into 7x16 enclosed trailer door opening?

Great and video and cool mower. Will u have a ZK with a Kawasaki efi next year or in the near future?

I think that Wright. should try the Market in South Africa because most of the Munisipalties still use the Tractor with the rotor cutter at the back.Just point of advice,no money no machine because we are going through a bad patch at the moment so keep it between the lines okay

Does having the enginaire on the air cleaner effect horsepower in any way because of airflow restrictions?

Great machine, just a couple of thoughts: what about arm rests on the drive handles, and puncher proof type tyres or wheels?

Will a bagging unit be made that can just be a dump unit? I would prefer to buy this machine, but Ferris has a similar sized unit that can dump 14 cu ft. We have a great place to dump onsite but messing with the triple bags is a huge time vampire when we can just back up and dump instead.

Was there a reason you couldn't make it shaft driven? How much torq do you lose with it being belt driven?

I love Wright and used to run them when I worked for a large company, I’ve been trying to demo one for months and tried numerous times and it’s never gone anywhere. Ed! Hook me up with a demo!

Yeah I had a demo set up one time and the day before I was to demo the machine the dealer sold it. Needless to say I have yet to demo a Wright Mower and I have three dealers within 30 miles of me.

@@littlefinkle7757 I’ve only ran the fixed decks with mulch kits in HOA’s. I wanna try out the stander X and the ZK I have my own business now and I do a large spread of different types of properties and turfs. Can’t really go by what I used to use. We never used anything bigger than a 48 either.

Loved running this mower, except for one thing. The foot brake. I cannot stand foot brakes. I like to the ZTR handbrake. You should have an option for a handbrake.

I have a 15 year old Kubota diesel that I’m thinking of replacing with this machine. I use it to mow my 16 acre RV park. I’m curious to know how this 40 horse gas compares to the 26 horse diesel. (I think that’s what mine has)

You still don’t have any dealers in Connecticut Ed I can’t demo anything! It looks like a wonderful machine

What price for a 72 inch deck model? Do you offer a government discount?

My biggest gripe with your company was 72 inch standers and promoting mowing acreage w/ stande.... this is a tank Ed. This new mower with unique suspension might be a real option for current Ferris owners that don't want to buy from a bankrupt business next season. Whenever my kabota diesel powered Grasshopper wares out I will need to check this out. Mayby by then you will offer a diesel

Ole Roost is in SE Texas mowing 40 acres a month w a gen 1 commercial Dixie Chopper. I have tried everything out there and can't find anything that will hang w my Chopper. I have learned to just look under the deck and see how the baffles are, and that will yell me if its gonna cut like the Chopper does. I'm mostly cutting weeds not good San Augustin, which pretty much anything will cut. I wonder how far to nearest dealer, Ed ?, I'm in 77706 with cash in hand, cost is irrelevant...Roost
