You man missed half the schemes in his rhymes, Avelinos was more obvious punchlines, but wretch's verse was super deep. Trust me wretch's verse needs a couple more listens.

@@jluzi1471 yeah I’ve lived in Manchester for 12 years now and it took me like two years to appreciate the sound here. Really it was because I didn’t understand things because of the accent and slang I wasn’t used to. After being here for a while it was much easier to understand and appreciate

been waiting a long time for you guys to finally get the chance to see this. Wretch is spitting fire and it takes a few listens to catch all of his bars. His verse is probably the best FITB that there is - he kills it

I’m sure the accent make it difficult but I agree with the comments. I love Avelinos verse, punchlines and so smooth but Wretch’s whole verse flew over your heads The ocean scheme in the last 4 bars is next level writing from Wretch. The whole scheme is a double about sailing and music streaming services.

Best FITB for you guys to react to. Always good to use a quote because someone has said it better “monsters in the building”, irrelevant of other comments arguing who is best, both of them produced masterpieces

Wretch was surgical... Pity seemed like y'all wasn't catching them. Every bar was double triple entendres, wordplay was and flow was smooth. He showed more range in his pen. Avelino was just straight punching and punching nicely too.

I wish you guys caught the final scheme in Wretch's verse about streaming platforms like Tidal and Spotify ruining careers for musicians as it's hard to make any many off their music anymore. The scheme is insane go back and listen, first he says "And Tidal's got the whole world moving crazy It's like they rather free Spotify playlist" then joins Tidal into a sea/water scheme whilst making his point. "Tryna find my uncle, didn't open my mouth, shit My dad mighta killed me-no snitching on our ship The Titanic ain't going down because of me See I can't swim, but I'll be the anchor for the scene See how did they expect musicians to stay afloat When all our sales keep going down the stream?"

To be fair, that particular bar isn't something Americans would get - their university grading system doesn't work the same way ours does, they don't have 2:1s, etc. But yeh - it did seem like they missed a lot of Wretch's bars
