There is so much talent in the UK, and so many artists are so different ! He has a part 2,3, &4 which are all top tier too
Akala is the Godfather of UK rap, a legend. He is so intelligent and the way he flows is insane. 🇬🇧
@ct9122

Godfather is stretching it. I’d say Giggs is, before 2006/2007 when giggs blew up on the scene Uk never really had an established hip hop scene it was mainly Garage/Grime in its early years

@@ct9122 giggs is grime gone to far. Early drill one could even say. Akala is not the godfather, that can go to Wiley. (Garage/grime) is rap and Wiley changed it up. Akala is akala and he has had the positive effect on us he wanted. Uk rap though is just on a crazy different level and we have so many talented rappers it’s hard to say one is better than the other.
Im a white bloke from Australia and love the truth of this! Well done. We need more of that
Akala is a beast of the UK scene. You should check out dave Black Live at the Brits

who ever suggested this 👌 Akala is such an eloquent and articulate man with a vast array of knowledge on so many social issues within the UK. Absolutely love his work! and this FITB is hhhaaarrrdddd🤙🔥🔥
Akala is an articulate, educated, well travelled, self made business man, Has a few albums, a few books, has created stageplays. He smashes TV debates and there is a KZread video of him lecturing at Oxford University. This is just from memory. He is badass. I have read his book "Natives: Race & Class in the Ruins of Empire". He talks about his upbringing and history of black people in the UK, plus sections about colonisation. Get it. READ READ.
There’s 4 parts too. I love him! He talks truth.
I loved this reaction, you guys were locked in. You can see that the truth hit them all to some degree.
Y'all gotta check out Lowkey - Fire in the booth. Another mindblowing british lyricist!!
Akala is a genius he does countless lectures at all the top universities he owns his own companies travels the world spreading knowledge and educating the youth he’s a national treasure who needs to be protected at all costs
Akala is our Treasure here in the UK. He is a highly intellectual individual who has written many books, given lectures in Oxford university like Malcolm X and travels all over the world campaigning. I so desperately want to join his movement but with all the racism in the world and social media, it is so difficult to connect or reach out to him. If anyone knows of his official contact details, please respond to this message. In the mean time, I will continue to read his books and study everything he has to throw at me. Absolutely fabulous Akala. I also have to give thanks to the security guard at Lewisham College in London who described Akala to me (4 years ago) in every single way possible but just couldn't quite remember Akala's name. However, I took on board the information provided and did some intensive research online, found Akala and have never looked back. Now I have a few of Akala's books. Thank you, thank you, thank you Akala because you speak for me and so many others in the world and you are I believe simply one of the greatest!
Y'know, ... I think Akala is the first artist I heard who made grime sound WORTH listening to for me.
World class bars in there. One of the best fire in the booths. Big respect for Akala.
Ahh you've discovered Britain's prophet, good stuff, your life is about to become richer. Listen to his words, there's genuine lessons in there.
Akala Fire In The Booth part 4 is a must watch. He's a legend here in the UK,
Man, you guys have only scratched the surface! More Akala and more UK rap. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Just found you guys. Great reaction
So many bars in this, spitting real facts. He’s the English version of immortal Technique, both have that talk

Loved your reaction guys, you have a new subscriber here! Akala is a national treasure to those in the know in the UK - he doesn't get radio play or much mainstream recognition, but he has built himself a massive fan base practically just off of KZread. He is also a social activist, he has delivered Ted Talks and lectures at the Oxford Union debating society, he is a published author and all round solid dude (I was lucky enough to meet him briefly at Notting Hill Carnival before he was really famous). If you want more Akala suggestions, everyone will tell you to watch his Fire in the Booth part 4. It is long, but it is a masterpiece. This was recorded when he was very early in his career - part 4 is him after 10 years of perfecting his craft. There is a deep catalogue you can check out, my personal favourites are The Journey (ft Mic Righteous), Murder Runs The Globe as well as his two daily dupoy performances.
I’m soo happy yous appreciate this💯 keep it lit gang 🔥
Watch UK Rapper Dave perform ‘Black’ live at the Brits (2020) Powerful!
We love top boy here glad your also enjoying it in the states would love to see some of your reactions to the best moments !!
Akala 1 2 3 and 4 are all absolutely wilddd!! Everyone needs to know his name and his work.
You need to do part 4 guys! This guy is on another level. He is a genius in so many fields!
Love the reaction guys! So important that the youth get the message
Love to see you guys going in casually talking about Star Wars and gradually waking up to the force itself! You didn't expect nothing of this calibre. And the beauty is nobody does... Too bad you didn't catch the Cartier line from him though. Now as any reaction channel on the internet has to do: part 4. Good luck

yeah my comment to make was they need to pause when talking and then rewind 10 secs. They missed so many epic lines. Haha lyrics on screen could help too.
As brit who has been to a few of Akala's lectures. Middle guy understood the assignment, just sit back and absorb the knowledge, then research later Much love from the UK he an OG over here, thanks for showing respect
Damn! What a reaction. Part 4 is legendary

Can’t wait for you to do the other three parts. And do Lowkey 🔥
Need to dig deeper into Uk 🇬🇧 rappers they ❤️🔥❤️🔥 tell stories, real talk!
Akala is another level. Saw him live in a tiny venue back in 2008, he was so good
I remember when I discovered this song and listened to it every day for ages, just mind blowing. Really fun watching these guys experience the same thing!
Omg so happy you did this reaction🥰 Akala is a national treasure.
Akala is amazing! Very smart guy
Ya all lucky enough to have part 2, 3 & 4 to react to aswell…P4 arguably the best!
Loved this reaction akala is so underrated it’s unreal , well done boys Subbed
Deep historical meaningful bars.. no one better than akala.. he lectures at universities, makes his own script, books, teaches kids and takes them around the globe, has his own plays. That's only a quarter of what he does. Rapping is only a small part of his entrepreneurial background. Yall imagine being taught of akala through bars and rhymes. The man is a legend over here but not in the spotlight because of what he knows and spits. He hasn't had a track on day time radio for 20+ years because he owns his own record label so he spits what he wants. React to more of him guys ❤️
I've seen many MANY reactions to Akala, but this is one of the best. More please!
Didnt know if yall would be into Akala but happy to see yall loving it
Definitely wanna see all 4 parts!
This reaction really excited me! Akala is just ridiculous

Good to see you got to my request. Love the reaction 😂😂 brilliant
The fire extinguisher had to come out! 😂😂. Akala spitting fire, truth lyrics and knowledge. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
First time on your channel, love your reactions. The facials expressions was like mine the first time I saw him. I looked for part 4 but couldn’t see if you’d done it. You NEED TO
Love your reaction videos. 52yr old Dis abled British Army Veteran. Not a fan of new hip hop or UK grime in truth. But some artists are just awesome. Been into hip hop since pre 79 rappers delight. When dj kool herc and groups like funky four plus one etc. My fav era as former megafit soldier/athlete freestyle street and break dancer. 85 to.98, esp boom bap. Knowledge dropping artists are my fav. Jeru da damajas "you can't stop the prophet" saved my life in 95. Akala is next level in his own league.
Everything Akala Does is Pure. enjoy all 4!👍🇨🇦
Do all the parts he gets better every time 🔥🔥🔥💪🏾
i still revisit this part 1 so much truth and knowledge, Akala, then Logic(uk) then english frank, mic righteous , black the ripper
Great reaction fellas, now do his whole series 😁
Lethal seeing the variety men. Each of your hip hop ears maturing each song you go through too. Brilliant seeing proper emceeing getting through to the youth. Keep catchin them bars. Mo charas 🇮🇪

Also check out Little Simz - Venom and Little Simz - Introvert - Little Sims plays Shelley in Topboy as is one of the greatest UK rappers. Also you should check out Mic Righteous Fire in the Booths start at part 1 and go from there, part 1 onwards show a progression to rival and US rapper

Totally agree! The spoken word part is as deep and knowledgeable you will hear but if you like it check 'Chester P DJ gone freestyle' has my favourite bar of all time "Don't you ever think that the kiddies listen to your lyrics??? You ain't selling them the guns but you're selling them the image!!" From a 20+ year old freestyle but it's so prophetic and could have been spat this morning
This fire in the booth is legendary.
This is years ago old you know, timeless 🔥 🚒
