Hi Maxim! Our sealed damper is maintenance free. You do not need to service it. If it ever fails, you simply replace it. If it fails within the first 2 years, it is covered under our warranty.

Wren sports has one of the the best customer service I ever seen. I needed a new part for my fat tire, fork and wren Sports sent it out with no charge. Great company great people. I highly recommend them.

The video is 12 min long, but my first service took hours. A few things to note: 1. The bearing under the lockout cap is easy to loose. It can stick to the bottom of the cap thanks to a small dab of grease, but then fall when you pull the cap away from the fork. Slowly lift the cap just enough so you see the bearing, then carefully capture the bearing. No fast movements here. 2. If your lower bushing doesn't slide in easily for reassembly, pull it out and look for burs. The top tube somehow had a nick in it which was creating a bur on the bushing during reassembly. I lightly filed the bur and nick until smooth and was able to fully seat the bushing. 3. I had difficulty getting the bolt+washer+o-ring to "bite" onto the lower end of the damping rod during reassembly despite perfect alignment. My best guess is grease prevented the bolt from cinching down. When it wouldn't bite, I unscrewed the bolt and cleaned it with iso alcohol until it finally bit and I could get 5 Nm of torque. I unscrewed and cleaned the bolt multiple times until it "worked". Good luck!

Hi Ken! We do not recommend servicing the damper as it is difficult to properly bleed all of the air out of the system. We recommend you replace it if it ever stops working. There is no need to maintain the damper, it is sealed against any type of contamination. If it fails within the first 2 years, we send you a replacement free.

Couple of questions: 1. How do you know it is time for maintenance? 2. You took the damper side apart and reassembled it. Does the maintenance include some cleaning and/or lubrication? Thanks for the tutorial!

Hi Felipe! We recommend doing a complete clean and lube every 100-150 hours of riding or at least every 6 months. The damper is a sealed cartridge and needs no maintenance, but the bushings and keys on that side do need to be maintained. The videos you viewed give you a general idea of what is involved, but I recommend that you follow the detailed written service instructions available under the TECH tab on our website wrensports.com/pages/tech to be sure nothing is missed. Thank you! Russ

Is it required to clean the parts with de-greaser etc and then to add new grease?

Hi Zvi! You don't need to use a degreaser, but if you do, be sure it is completely cleaned off and fully evaporated before applying the new grease. Russ

Hi Randy! The oil side uses a sealed damper cartridge that is maintenance free. It uses a bladder to keep the oil under constant pressure at all times. Thank you for your interest in Wren products! Russ Johnson

@@russjohnson2781 I don't get it. If the oil side has a bladder, that keeps the oil under constant pressure, then what do i need to maintain in the damper/ oil side of the fork ? Can you explain please, or give a link where all the info about maintenance sense ? Or if the dampers oil's resource inside the bladder, is expended, and i cannot change it on my own, than all i need to do, is just replace the damper, right ? And where can i get the wren seals to replace, in case the old ones have their resource expended ?
