Great review Graham.. sorry that I made you ride through the river so many times but that dirt suit you have from Slam69 is awesome - looks like essential Winter gear!!

Im so glad i discovered Slam69 & cant wait to visit & have my wheels built, then the icing on the cake was your youtube Channel, i really enjoy your videos and would like to thank you for them! Im also really getting the itch for a Fat Bike, my enthusiasm has been snuffed out in the past by "Naysayers" One guy actually told me at work, "They are cool to look at, but you wouldn't want to go any further than 5 miles on one! - Then i see your 70 Miler KZread video + your other videos and realise these people are talking a load of rubbish. Thank you again for your positivity, and great videos.

Hi Mark, thank you for the comments, really glad we are doing something right haha. Yes Fat bikes don't sell them selves, you need to ride one to get it, just as I did. Just give your bank account a heads-up before you chuck a leg over lol. Plenty of videos to come. Thanks again.

I chose the Wren on my newest Fatbike, too. Best part is, if you mount the Ortlieb fork packs, they are not on the unsprung part like they are on the Bluto. Great for Fatbike off-road touring. And as I live in California I have at least something made locally on my made in Germany Elom 505-Ti-Rohloff-E14 👍🏻

Really great review Graham. I’m very keen on the idea of these on my 27.5+ HCHT which Richard is well aware of 😛😉.

@@DickingAboutTV Haha! Excellent stuff. For now I'm afraid I'm stuck with my 100mm Bluto's, but I do think I'll convert them to 120mm at some point. Keep up the good work dude, you're a great ambassador for Fat Bikes. 🤘🤘

You didn’t review the fork, how does it preform, is it stable, etc.

Hi, the fork is very stiff both and steers as well as any traditional fork out there, the uppers make for a strong chassis, whilst the key ways that stop the stanchions for twisting really make for a secure confident feel. The ride is very tuneable so you can tweak it to suit your style very easily and simply. Hopefully that helps.

Are you still riding the Wren? Or have you gone back to the Mastodon

I sort of spoilt as have Bluto's Wrens, Mastodons and currently ride rigid. I would put Wren and Mastodons on an equal footing, with Bluto my choice if I just want simple and don't plan anything aggressive. I riding Rigid at the mo as I'm mainly bikepacking.

Great demo of this fork and am really considering purchasing one. There was a comment online saying the axle can pivot in place, causing the front wheel to tilt and hit the stanchions!? what's your take on this, cause it did not seem to be the case in your review. Any feedback would be appreciated thanks.

No it can't. This fork is different to other upside down forks as it has key ways to stop the legs twisting. I have ridden normal forks for years and the Wrens feel just as stiff, if not stiffer.

Yes, Wren make a fork for a non fatbike, or you can run a narrower tyre on say a 29er rim in the fatbike fork. All the forks options are avilable on the Podium Sports online website podiumsports.online/
