Phone notifications don't show the thumbnail. If I open it, it opens youtube to the video and the thumbnail is missed completely. :)

Anja Aleskari when you're actually working on stuff, you can do a software preview which basically matches the c4d viewport. Once you're ready for a render, switch to "full render" from the plug-in and you'll get a real time render from c4d right in the ae viewport!! The tech is called Cineware and it's really sweet :D

Talk about The Expanse! I read these books back when I was in middle school and kept reading the newest one as they come out. The Sci-Fi show does a good job at capturing the feel.

Now that was a book I got bored with after the first few dozen pages unfortunately lol...

For me... most rewatched Corridor Crew video... ever. Great!

One thing that is totally underrated in regard to C4D is the documentation that is available from within the software in my opinion. It is very detailed, easily accessible from anywhere via a right click and well thought out.

friendship ended with 3ds max. Now Cinema4d is my best friend

I love the wren videos so much even though I'm not an editor or video maker I just love his overall interest in things

And general tips for animation and rendering (meaning removing all the shenanigans you guys usually do obv). Blender is still at least 10 years away from being anythign decent. It has improved, but it's development and UI improvements take forever and it's features are never on the same level as the professional tools.

Theyre two entirely different types of channel and entertainment.

Wren is actually a spider... He eats bugs and weird stuff, he creates cool stuff on the *web*, and he sometimes does things so quickly that its like he has 8 arms. That's why he's scared of other spiders :o

Cinema 4D is probably the easier 3D program to learn, Blender, 3dsmax etc are quite a bit harder from what I've heard.

If you want hard to work with try learning Houdini while in full time secondary education. I know a decent bit of blender so that makes sense to me and there are no transferrable skills.

Mister Finn if you haven't. Also read Mistborn, it's another series from the Cosmere and absolutely my favourite. Had me crying at the end of book 3

I remember attempting to render physics years ago with Cinema4D. It was probably one of the best 3D programs to use for that sort of stuff! You also gotta love the thrown trilogy, I have around 20 different audible books now (have had it for years)

Give me just 10 minutes to fangirl with wren about brandon sanderson, that would make my day

Cinema4D is cool but way too expensive for hobbyists. Fusion360 and Blender for the win.

Karl Beltran fusion is free, if you use the correct licence, which is the hobbyist license or something like that.

I decided to skip it after all the terrible reviews, and my friend told me the important parts. I heard book 5 was pretty good though, which is good to hear after the whiff on book 4...

Warbreaker is surprisingly amazing. And yeah, I've only read the first three books of Wizard. The first was good, the second was fantastic, and the third was just OK. Then I heard about the bad reviews of 4 and just stopped. Didn't realize there was a 5th! I'll have to check that out!

Paul Nesbitt dude Singularity Trap is like crazy ... It's mind-blowing and very very entertaining Not a single phrase is out in time just to fill up space you'll actually want to keep listening to it a lot of times or rewind a lot the first time you listen because there's a lot of really clever use of language and some crazy mind-blowing ideas I mean if the LEGENDARY Isaac Arthur recommend it, what more do you want ? (Seriously, if you haven't heard of Isaac Arthur you've gotta check out his channel)

Yeah dude, book 4 wasn't fantastic but I think what it reveals it very important so if you like the series you should read/listen to it

I feel your pain on watching tutorials... I'm constantly trying to learn new tools which also means watching tutorials and subsequently falling asleep at my desk. Also the first 12 seconds of this is greatest set of out of context clips ever (especially if you just listen to the audio.)

There are many things that are free and unpopular. Being free is a factor but not the only factor. Also I think the UI being bad is a matter of opinion because I don't see it that way. There are limitations on all the programs and yes even Blender is comparable.

I got audible quite awhile back from I am pretty sure Wren recommending it. I love the Bobiverse and i've now listened to Off to be the wizard (and all the following books). However, I have also listened to all of The Expanse now, TWICE, which is like hundreds of hours. I would love to hear Wren talk about the Expanse, he does a great job bringing attention to amazing stories. Also talk about when you listen, that seems to be a huge question I get about my listening because people wonder when they will find the time. Personally at this point, most of my entertainment has been audio books for about a year now, I've always loved to read, but reading while driving, eating, and working are not possible.

I can totally relate to this comment. I'm actually currently reading The Expanse in book form! It's sooo good! Almost done with the first one. I thought about listening to it but it's kind of nice to be able to physically read a book every now and then. I'm listening to The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August right now and it's AMAZING! I recommend that one for SURE! But yeah, I listen to about 50 hours of audible content a month. You can find your own stats in the settings menu. It's perfect for driving, walking my dog, cooking/eating. I just can't do it while working, since that requires too much focus.

I've read everything Sanderson has written except for the Alcatraz series haha... Mistborn/stormlight/warbreaker multiple times.

I have not found anyone who also read the mistborn secret history, There was some awesome stuff in there with kelsier and hoid.

Secret histories was SOO good haha!! My wife wasn't really a fan though lol. She said it was boring. I said "How dare you" :P

Wren is the best salesman! He could sell anything to me and I’d buy it. I’m getting audible now and he is 100% why. Wren and Star Wars.

I am never bored with Wren. Even if it's a topic far from what my mind could wrap around, as long as it's Wren, I could watch it all day long.

Blender users such as myself are crying right now...

Wren switched because 3DS Max didn’t have support. He’s definitely staying far far away from Blender.

Over complicated and over priced. You literally need an entire dev team to work with that software.

VideoPro blender is my favorite of the common ones. Its all personal preference and what you feel comfortable with. It's great cause it's free and has a massive useerbase with tons of add-ons made by the community to make it even better.

VideoPro I like blender but it's also the only one I have experience with; from what I've heard it has a relatively steep learning curve though

Now switch to Blender

Wren switched because C4D had support that Max didn’t. He won’t be touching Blender for that same reason.

Josif Staljin Last I used was 2.7, and it wasn’t easier at all. If 2.8 has changed many things to make it simpler, then I will agree.

@@NazoVidere yes 2.8 is so much easies and the new 2.82 has more realistic smoke sims with mantavlow even tho i perfer the old one also there is a new real time render engine EEVEE

As much as I love blender (great modelling tools, it’s free), for smoke sims and all sims I use Houdini. Blender simulations tools are really, really bad. Especially smoke. I recommend embergen too! And you not need paid Houdini version, because you can use non commercial and export vdb sequence to blender. For other animations and simulations you have to buy at least indie because of locked fbx exporter. But when I had only non commercial version I coded simple python program that took obj sequence and imported it as shapekeys. Altough it wasn’t perfect because vertex count couldn’t change

i will watch pretty much anything with wren in it. his happiness is infectious and it always brightens my day. dude could be droppin a deuce on my car and i'd probably still be stoked. too bad i don't own a car.

Don't forget Cinema 4D also supports server rendering. Basically you can split the render process between multiple computers, and thus render much, much faster.
