Unironically i love playing Ball and have a blast playing him but EVERY single time the enemy team just goes Sombra. They need to either buff Hammy or nerf Sombruh because im too plat to deal with Sombras

As someone who grinded Ball last year for OW2. If you are low elo Ball is definitely not the solution for you to climb but he is very fun also keep text chat muted. Enjoy Balling

Ball is either shat on by the team or worshipped. It's a hard place to be when you're learning him :c You'll often make a bad judgement call and your team will accuse you of being an empty slot, but if the fight went the way you judged, it'd be a completely different story.

that's why whenever I'm learning a new hero, I just disable chat. Most the time even if everyone's playing CORRECTLY there will be someone malding in the dumpster chat anyway so it's hardly ever gonna be helpful or supportive

HATED ball when he originally came out but the hero really has such a fun and unique way of interacting with / navigating the map. ur vids got me interested a while back and now I play only ball. If you have even some mechanical skill once you get his kit into muscle memory you can easily roll up until around mastersish

I’ve been playing the ball for about two weeks and watching as many informative videos on him as I can. Some matches I pull off some good attacks other I don’t. I definitely get better with practice but it takes time

2:55 "but they also become less lethal" yes, in a nutshell. With a bigger spread of mines, it's 1; harder to get rid of (ahem, reinhardt shield) 2; you can just boop them into more with grapple with it being immensely easier due to the larger area, and 3; they're likely to run into one while strafing, or even if they're just holding a move key when hit by one. ☝️

You can start by tracking her cooldowns, they are pretty long. I'ts super rewarding to be able to get that kill because you know she just used them :)

Hopefully people start to realize how important natural cover is with one tank now. Any time my team is being smart, I can do my job as Ball. But so many times the people complaining about needing a shield are basically just feeding without using sight lines at all

They are bad at the game and they will never improve they need to be less than 5 meters away at all times form the enemy to do damage. I literally play with everything muted if I am below Diamond on Ball or Winston.

playing this game for years IP always thought piledriver just pushes you up, turns out it also pushes you in ball direction. aktshually learned something new here. Pog

Dont forget about being a distraction after striking, it can help your team secure eliminations, balls mobility is good at constently changing flank angles to make the enemies look in different directions away from your team

Ngl, even with the knowledge I already have as a hammond main, most of the advanced tips really seem helpful :P Although I still expect to get mauled to death once in a while, at least I know know how to dive instead of just once in a while tossing random enemies and hoping I'm doing something good for the team.

I really want to see yeatle battle a team of really good players playing as his counters and talk through that. Often i find it hard to dive in because of that or its a beatdown.

sometimes when you're scouting you just gotta wait for cooldowns. For example when i play against bastion i always wait until he uses his turret form and then strike him the second he changes back. If it's a sym its a little more difficult to counter unless your team is helping you destroy turrets and stuff

@@kernoleary1394 Big agree, communicating help a lot too. Your mate will randomly engage through Bastion turret form, if you simply ask them to take cover and attack after turret or even bait turret, you'll get a big increase in winrate as less mate will die for nothing then complain about the lack of shield. That's what happened to me.
